Indivisible: Valkyrie Profile/Metroid, Indiegogo, PC/Mac/Linux/PS4/XB1 -- funded!

I usually don't like backing stuff because it takes so long to actually play the game from when you put money down, but I really really like everything about the game so far.

We're going to do periodic prototype releases for backers that will let you try new levels, mechanics and Incarnations so we can get feedback on them.

So, yeah, it'll be two years... but you'll get to play more of the game between now and then and get to give feedback.

Finally got my hands on the prototype and really enjoyed what I played (even though I was getting worked over by literally everything) and I'm backing it when I get paid in about a day or so.

oh wow...great, that's a much easier pill to swallow mate '-)

game looks amazing so far. Really nice concepts, and I appreciate the reference to shorter classic RPG like Chrono Trigger being more easily replayable and honestly, more memorable as a result for me.

Well, today has certainly been more productive then I thought it would. XD

Around 1130AM my time today it was at 1255K, with more then an hour to go until the twelve hour mark the campaign has generated an additional 70K.

Things are looking up.

Edit: Just short of 79K in twelve hours. It'll probably fall off a bit overnight but we could very well have a 100K 24 hour period here.

I am really happy to see the funding progressing so well. You guys worked your asses off already just to get this project a chance at being realized and that deserves a lot of credit on its own. I hope the game ends up making Lab Zero a nice stack of cash, because from the prototype it seems like you have something really special here.

I've been meaning to ask, but will the periodic updates be on all platforms, or just Steam? I remember PSN and XBLA used to charge a fee for every patch/update, but I don't know if that's changed. Even if it's not the case, I imagine it might be an unreasonable amount of extra work working on all systems simultaneously. (surely the Z engine can't be that great?)

Steam is the only assured thing, but I think that PS4 is likely and we'll try for XB1.

The main issue with XB1, of course, is that we have to port the engine.

And it might make more sense to port it at the end of development, because we will be adding a new UI middleware, adding more rendering effects, etc.

I am totally down for more prototypes where I can play more incarnations. I need to see how Tatanka and Toko play.

We should probably spend less time dwelling on some hilariously hateful person and more on the campaign ahead of us! Really excited to see what tomorrow brings given how crazy the last few days have been. At this point I'm daring to imagine 1.4 million by tomorrow.

We're already at 1.332mil today and the campaign made around 70k yesterday. You don't have to dare to imagine. It's happening :D

This might get funded today. Pace really picked up.
I'm betting Wednesday night or Thurday morning

We'll be somewhere in the 1.4mil range by tomorrow night and you just know the pace is going to accelerate even faster when the campaign is that close to being funded

I imagine Wednesday night at the latest. The closer it gets to the 1.5 mark the faster the amount of funding.

Well, earlier in the thread I talked about not really digging the prototype, but I really like some of the later characters and the guest characters. I also think the game shows promise.

Also, Ravidrath, your post above about giving us more demos/prototypes throughout the months ahead swayed me a bit. You guys have a lot of heart, so I'm in for $30, good luck Lab Zero.

This final push is really making me curious about the stretch goals.

lol, previous page on that thread had a liberal socialist massive racist. This guy was vanilla as fuck compared to the other guy's whack of crazy.

Yeah, I'm just amazed by "I don't like all these non-White characters in this game, I wish it failed"

It will make me so happy if this game gets funded for more than one reason. A new one is that it will make this guy feel less happy...

There really are bad people in the world. I hope they suffer more than the rest of us.
I mean, dude is kind of terrible, but we really don't need to go here. Indivisible's gonna get funded, and he'll chew on crow.

any particular tier for that?

Not to add on too much to the dogpile, but intentionally trying to sabotage the campaign with no concern over the fact that Lab Zero have been under a huge amount of stress over the whole thing? You must be proud, "anon". Pathetic.

On another note, that story mock-up looks nice, but will there be (minor) exploration of towns like in VP or will it just be non-interactive cutscenes between dungeon segments?

I just backed it and went with the physical copy tier. I love what I've been seeing and with only a few days left I just wanted to pitch in and make sure this game becomes a reality. Good luck everyone involved!!!!

If I recall correctly, the devs are planning a seamless Metroidvania style open world, with exploration and different traversal methods being a major element

any particular tier for that?
Would like to know this too

Ravi, does Lab Zero read the IndieGogo pledge comments? Hoping the team can get some of our words of encouragement!

We try to, but there are so many and they move so quickly it's kind of impossible to keep up.

Any tier that gets you the game, so $30 and up.

I think that at this point announcing a stretch goal or two would be a good idea to get people even more excited.

We're still being advised to hold off on stretch goals until we hit the goal, or at least are very close.

Believe me, I have one in particular that I really want to reveal...

You've really raised the bar.

Ravi, did you have a sketch or an idea about the giclee print? You mentioned it in the beginning of the campaign, but I'm not sure if I saw the information

Dude can salt all he wants.
Just a matter of time.

I'm more than happy to talk dev talk with people. My motto is to turn a frown upside down.

But there are just some gamers out there that explode when met with reality. Some back down, still holding their misguided views, but others just.... explode.

Also, Ravi, I have a question in regards to the narrative: How dark/serious will this be? Valkyrie Profile was pretty 'dark' in how it handled all the tragedies of its characters, but this game might be more silly and cute? Or what? I'm just wondering about the narrative and what you guys are going for
