Indivisible: Valkyrie Profile/Metroid, Indiegogo, PC/Mac/Linux/PS4/XB1 -- funded!

After a grueling 57 days, it finally happened... IndivisibleRPG is funded!

From Lab Zero Games, thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Now let's talk those stretch goals...

$1,650,000 - More Music by Hiroki Kikuta
Indivisible is currently budgeted to have between 60 and 90 minutes of music from Kikuta-san, and we’d like to expand that by at least another hour!

$1,900,000 - Animated opening by Titmouse and Mystery Anime Studio
We’ll partner with Titmouse and a mystery anime studio to create a high-octane opening animation! Titmouse will storyboard everything, and it'll be executed by the anime studio!

About Titmouse
Titmouse Animation was founded in 2000 by husband/wife power couple Shannon
and Chris Prynoski, producing absurdist, dynamic 2-D animation that hungry college kids with twisted sense of humor just can’t get enough of. It has since evolved into a full service production company developing content for even the wee ones, and employing over 200 gifted artists in LA, NYC, and Vancouver.

About Mystery Anime Studio

Unfortunately we can't reveal who the mysterious anime studio is yet. We have a commitment from them, but until things are a little more nailed down they've asked that we hold off on revealing who they are.
Nice stretch goals. Really hope we can hit the second one.

Kyoani animates the intro for Indivisible:

could the anime intro still happen if the indiegogo ends but donations keep coming? Or does it need to happen with indiegogo?

I mean probability is that if it doesn't get close with this it won't reach it with post-GOGO funding as I can't imagine those tend to be a lot.

Ravi mentioned that post-campaign donations feed into the tierrs

I just listed it as a recent example. I was just typing up titles I have played recently rpg, either new ones or old ones. Most ended up being from 90 minutes to 120 minutes. So having an indie rpg being around there is fine enough.

Yup. I'm also not sure how music is contracted, as far as the loops go. For instance, FFVII has a four hour soundtrack but it's technically only two hours of original music as all the tracks are looped once.

Was thinking of going full Asura's Wrath, actually - cliffhanger ending, with the real ending being DLC.

Kidding, of course...

Early in the campaign, someone on Twitter asked if Zebei had unlimited ammo, and I joked that, no he doesn't, but you can buy more with microtransactions!

And a lot of people reacted very negatively even though it seemed pretty clear that it was a joke.

I know this is an old post, but I would be totally ok with a Lab Zero 2d game in the vain of Asuras Wrath

Wow, all of FFVII has a two hour soundtrack and Indivisible (which should be shorter) is already aiming for at least a two hour OST? This is going to be glorious.

We're doing level and battle themes Kingdom Hearts-style, so every area will have both exploration and battle music.

Maybe? I don't really know how music is contracted out, whether it accounts for the length it'll take up on a soundtrack or just the core piece, without any looping.

Congrats to Lab Zero and all of us interested in the game. It looked like we weren't going to make it for a while, but I'm glad to see it hit its goal in the end.

I will miss opening up the indegogo link every morning to see where we're at.
I will miss posting "xK until new incarnation~" every now and then.
I will certainly NOT miss the stress.

Alright, now we play the waiting game.

The two hours of FFVII OST is without looping. If Ravi meant teo hours of non-looped music as I assume he did it'll be a ton of music for an RPG of this size (i.e. not as gargantuan as PS1 FFs).

Congrats guys, well deserved. I've just backed it 13 hours ago :D

Since my last post in this thread (ages ago) I love how diverse the cast has got. As far as ethnicity goes, is this the most diverse game with fictional characters?

This dude on Twitter is saying that we promised no stretch goals, and that we're hypocritical liars for doing them.

...Except they've been on the campaign page for the entire time?

Whee.

We pay by the minute, so looping doesn't count.

Unlooped, there are 6 minutes of music in the prototype.

IGG has officially rolled over to counting down in hours so:

I also expect a boost tomorrow once articles about the funding may their way across game media sites :)

Just saw this on twitter LMAO:

Like clockwork, there will always be people who hate stretch goals. Which is silly as these aren't 'get the complete game' stretch goals. They're improving the game type.

Don't ever announce DLC. Some still think DLC is like the greedy company witholding from full game.

There's literally nothing objectionable about your stretch goals with regards to how they affect scale of mechanics. :lol

Congrats LZ! Very happy to see this made it.

I need to finally get on the demo soon, all I've been doing is watching people play it, heh.

Congratulations to Lab Zero!

I only got around to backing it a couple of days ago, and have to admit that I wasn't feeling too optimistic, but I am happy to have been proven completely wrong by the community.

Saw one guy replying to every celebratory tweet with some variation of "can't wait to see what you censor after the game is out this time around", all I could think of was:

50 told me go 'head, switch the style up
and if they hate then let 'em hate and watch the money pile up

So you guys actually got the game funded. Congratulations! Honestly did not expect this to make it.

Looking forward to playing this.

Yay :D

So will today mark the start of official funded development now?

(Also put me down in the 'autistic people who read a bit too deeply in the recent Sangmu reveal but still think it would be really awesome to actually have a neurodiverse character' group)

Those people are just not worth replying to. lol

I can't upgrade my contribution. It says I have to pay for everything ($75 instead of the $45 I should)

Need to go to your account.

My Contributions -> Upgrade Perk

And it'll charge you for the full amount and refund the old one. Something with how Paypal has to operate, unfortunately.

Edited it above, but the prototype has all of six minutes of music in it.

Sounds about right for those three pieces without the loops. Even if the stretch goal isn't made (and it probably will be), this game is going to have more music in it than I expected. This Kikuta fanboy thanks you heartily.
