Chances of Capcom announcing something new?

We are 2 years into the generation. Its gotta happen eventually. /snark.

But yeah. Capcom seem overdue for something new. Plenty of smoke around DMC5 and RE7 and it might be time from the Dead Rising 2-3 team to announce something.

And I would guess if Onimusha was to appear it would be part of the PS2 classics push. Not a new game or actual remaster

Sony needs to fly Darth Playstation from Japan to San Fran

i'd really love the backwards compatibility to be announced, with a nice selection if games available day one (shadow hearts please!) and the crappy final fantasy vii port released so i have something meaty to get through for christmas.

Surprised no one is predicting Destiny. Acti/Bungie have a massive Sony boner so showing some upcoming free updates and then at the end show "Destiny 2" text or maybe a 10 second tease sounds plausible. TTK is out, wont be any more paid DLC.

So some of their predictions are true? :)

Did someone listen to it all and can provide a recap?

Colin
- Sony Bend's game will be the marquee title of the event
- Sony Santa Monica's new game will be unveiled and won't be related to God of War
- FFXIIHD revealed for PS4/3/Vita
- PS3/Vita will both get permanent price cuts
- PSN name changes will start in early 2016

Greg
- No Man's Sky is a PSVR game
- TLG dated for an April release
- Kojima is in the building
- No fewer than five Vita games will be announced on stage by Gio Corsi
- Rockstar cometh (he says this is the crazy over the top one)

They point out that they aren't including anything that would be the result of insider info (they said that they know some stuff that'll be there) or things that seem obvious (like PS2 emulation).

TLG releasing so soon and Kojima with a new horror game would destroy me.

Got my PS4 package nice and built out! Heading up tomorrow, setup on Friday, then hope to see some of your lovely faces over the weekend. = D

TLG for April? Far too optimistic. I mean it would be GREAT if they announced that release window for the game at PSX, but I can't see it coming out earlier than the Summer season. In fact, a sizable part of me is fully expecting it to be delayed to 2017, regardless of how certain Shuhei says he is of it coming out next year. I just can't shake off that bad feeling. Hope I'm wrong.

Five predictions from me...

- Gio Corsi announces Shenmue HD Collection for the PS4/PC. Maaaaaybe for the Vita as well. I see no reason why Shenmue wouldn't be able to run at an acceptable rate on that platform.
- Level-5 announce their PS4 game. It is Ni no Kuni 2.
- Agreed with Colin - FFXII HD is coming out on the PS4/Vita. Very safe prediction this I think, but not something I'm personally looking forward to.
- God of War 4 will be the marquee reveal and not Sony Bend's game, although they will make an appearance too.
- Wildcard prediction - Shuhei strides on stage and drops the Ape Escape 4 bomb.

TLG launching so close to Uncharted 4? No way. I want it to release ASAP, but no way it gets released before June.

Also LOL @ Vita games. Crazier than Rockstar.

They are also showing the extension for Dying Light, WITH an actual release date. I thought that was not going to happen at all.

It's more than likely imo (using you as my bouncepad for my thoughts about the show ha, not super super directed at what you said :) ). Rewatching PSX from last year this morning, it really is a loveletter event to entrenched fans. No big brand new announcements, really just updates to triple A games already announced but lots of "here's a side project at X worldwide studio" and "here's a bunch of third party productions vita ports". It's exactly the kind of thing they'll focus on. So I'd expect a bunch of indies/third party pre-existing games being brought to vita by sony, a focus on XDEV stuff and so on. Think Alienation, shadow of the beast, rime, kill strain, new games like that and maybe updates on these. Just my thoughts. Who knows, maybe they look at last year and make it as big a show as they can.

Feel like the last guardian will be as late in the year as they can push it haha. Uncharted in March, Ratchet & Clank between then and summer, VR launch vr titles in the summer headlined by no man's sky, Horizon/TLG/GT Sport later in the year. Bend's game...if it's announced I feel 2016 is on the cards. Rewatching last year's show though, I think maybe Bend wait for E3 to reveal.

Oh yeah, and I bet Tim Schafer will be up on stage again. He's in bed with Sony right now, so expect a release date for Day of the Tentacle HD, Gang Beasts and a Full Throttle HD announcement.
