PAL Charts - Week 48, 2015

Nintendo thinks their games are gold which will not lose its value over the time, so they will not allow price drops like other publishers to retailers and they will keep selling close to full price even after years.

In fairness, some of their games drop in price. I'm fairly certain some of their weaker efforts this year will soon come down in price. Stuff like Mario tennis, chino robo, triforce heroes, maybe even Amiibo festival since I doubt those games sold well in the uk. Gotta clear the shelves somehow

Mario still scared!

Yes, but seemingly only in Game which kinda shows how much of the market they have even with usually shitty prices and practices.

Yeh It sucks :( but i guess its the goto place for mums and dads. Uncharted bundle was putting in work everywhere!! Great results! good move by sony. Increase that Hype for 4

I walked by the one near work on Friday, there was a queue out of the door...

People will never stop shopping at GAME. It's just never going to happen.

If the price is right, your shit will sell. We had some very healthy deals this year. Bit depressed Fifa is at the top though, but even that had some really good deals and bundles. Presumably Uncharted selling so well means the bundle did really well.

315,000 games consoles were sold during the Black Friday week.

UK retailers told MCV that it was PS4 that was the best-selling machine, with around 139,000 consoles sold. But it was very close between Sony and Microsoft, with Xbox One shifting almost 134,000 units.

Wow, that close huh? There's a couple of ways you can spin those numbers. You can say that it's good for Sony because they had no big exclusives for the holiday season and had to rely on third-party partnerships, but you can also say it's good for Microsoft because it suggests the UK is a more level playing field between the two than some of us were led to believe.

...This is quite lower than what we had by calculating from last year's numbers. I suppose GFK readjusted last year ones, then?

Neck and Neck between the two.

Were the bundles and deals similar between the 2 for black Friday and should we expect similar in the run up to Christmas?

Wow.. PS4 no more 1.3:1 to XB One.. wish we can get life time sales in UK..

Difference is 5k in PS4 favor and your conclusion is that overall sales are 1.3:1 throughout the whole year just because of that 1 day? Dude, PS4 had surpass 2 mil. mark in May. Xbone.... hit 2 mil. mark this month i guess. That's a...what...a 6 months after PS4's 2 mil. announcement.

I kind of figured they would do around the same numbers during the sales. They were pretty much the same prices. You couldn't see an advert promoting the one without another store promoting the other.
