Colin
- Sony Bend's game will be the marquee title of the event
- Sony Santa Monica's new game will be unveiled and won't be related to God of War
- FFXIIHD revealed for PS4/3/Vita
- PS3/Vita will both get permanent price cuts
- PSN name changes will start in early 2016

Greg
- No Man's Sky is a PSVR game
- TLG dated for an April release
- Kojima is in the building
- No fewer than five Vita games will be announced on stage by Gio Corsi
- Rockstar cometh (he says this is the crazy over the top one)

They point out that they aren't including anything that would be the result of insider info (they said that they know some stuff that'll be there) or things that seem obvious (like PS2 emulation).

If that were true, I'd be in heaven. Vita love from multiple fronts...

I could definitely see Gio announcing a few things, I really hope he does.

Aside from more Yakuza, is there any huge localisation announcement they could drop that would send people crazy?

Drive people crazy probably not (because they're not for PS4), but Phantasy Star Nova or Tales of Innocence R would make me very happy.

I could see God Eater Resurrection / 2 making people happy too (I'm not a fan). Maybe we'l get an early Dragon Quest Builders announcement too.

I'm sure this will be of interest to those of you in this thread. We did our Push Square predictions for PlayStation Experience. We were pretty bang on with Paris Games Week, so eager to see how close we are this time. Here are our guesses:

  • God of War teaser
  • Sony Bend announcement
  • Uncharted 4 story trailer/console bundle announce
  • The Last Guardian trailer
  • Updates on digital games like Wattam, Edith Finch, and Fat Princess Adventures
  • PS2 emulation information and first roster of games before Christmas
  • A few free festive PlayStation Store gifts: avatars, themes, whatever
  • Firmware update v3.50 information
  • Destiny and Call of Duty DLC trailers
  • Street Fighter V character and final beta details
  • Final Fantasy XV trailer, Dissidia Final Fantasy announcement, Final Fantasy VII port "out now".
  • No Man's Sky and Ace Combat 7 for PlayStation VR
  • Gio Corsi segment: Yakuza 5 release date and Shenmue HD
  • Indie games making their console debut on PS4, Vita: Her Story, Undertale, Downwell
  • Crash Bandicoot? YOU GOTTA BELIEVE

We included some reasoning and evidence behind each prediction through here, so take a look if you're interested.

What do you think?

Yesssss plz!! Square! That looks sooo good and i hate minecraft lol.

Yup funny enough actually alot of the tgs games have been confirmed waaaay quicker than i thought honestly

Yeah, I didn't expect to hear anything about Ni-Oh's western release at least until next E3 but as you are saying they have apparently confirmed that. Nice job Tecmo, I wish other Japanese publishers *cough* Sega *cough* could learn a few things from them.

Well, if Ni-Oh is coming then I'll say other big localization announcements for PSX could be NiER Automata and Valkyria: Azure Revolution.

Nier was featured on the PS Blog and officiall Youtube channel i believe. So i dont think they need to announce a localization for that one :P

Neir debuted at e3 along with setsuna, world of ff i 100% believe they're coming too(no confirmation tho) And as far as valkyria:azure and the hd remaster of the first one..you'd think its common sense but again SEGA

Oh, I know they are coming I'm just saying that they could do the "official" announcement on PSX. Much like they did with Persona 5, and I think that one was even confirmed for west before the event.

Some of those are pretty boring like the price cuts or NMS will be a PSVR (pretty much expected), but others are huge, hope it's mostly the big ones that are correct, especially Kojima, TLG and Rockstar.

Santa Monica's and Bend's projects are very exciting too, but they are in the "expected" list, Kojima, TLG and Rockstar are crazy megatons.

If we see Adam presenting @ PSX I will be expecting something kinda big. Whenever he presents there is always a big game that's shown and announced.

For example, When Adam took the stage:
Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts III were announced at E3 2013.
No Man's Sky was shown and Dead Island 2 was announced at E3 2014.
Street Fighter V was announced at PlayStation Experience 2014.
Final Fantasy VII Remake and Shenmue III were announced at E3 2015..

Plus all the other amazing games that he announced big and small.

Now I really hope the bolded ones are the ones they got right. If these two actually happen, PSX this year might actually come close to E3 2015 in terms of awesomeness. Also, where are the insiders? Let's get the hype going!

Depends on if Kojima is just in the building or on stage.
Also depends on the Rockstar. If it's Bryan Adams I would be disappointed.

Thanks for that - great article. You covered pretty much everything, although I would've mentioned Level-5 to some capacity.

Yummy!

A Sony Santa Monica game that's not GoW is expected?

I don't think this is happening anyway. Their original IP got cancelled early 2014, and the team was put onto a safe project. Plus, Balrog slipped last year at PSX, and announced that they are indeed working on a new God of War. I don't think they will be working on or announcing another new IP this soon.

TLG for April? Far too optimistic. I mean it would be GREAT if they announced that release window for the game at PSX, but I can't see it coming out earlier than the Summer season. In fact, a sizable part of me is fully expecting it to be delayed to 2017, regardless of how certain Shuhei says he is of it coming out next year. I just can't shake off that bad feeling. Hope I'm wrong.

There is no fucking way this game is delayed. They just can't. After 6 years of silence, and a release date for 2016, they can't say "we need an another year".

The game was rebooted in the end of 2012. 3 years of development today, knowing that the structure of the game is done (story, gameplay mechanics), they just need to "build" the game for the PS4 (graphics mostly), and Mark Cerny is behind to help on that.

April is very realistic IMO, no way that they'll risk a fall release.

I would like that too but I can't see the vita getting too much attention aside from maybe "blank" game is cross-buy or a few cool indie ports.

So both Podcast Beyond and PS I love you teased they knew about a couple of big announcements.

I have no idea what they could be as they talked and speculated about plenty of stuff too.

Rockstar? With Agent i guess then? I really doubt that. And whatever it is is, at this point i don't believe Rockstar would still make a game exclusive to just one platform. As for Kojima, what do you guys think that could mean?

Obviously, for Kojima, it means Sony is giving him a studio and bought the Silent Hill IP so that he can work on Silent Hills without Konami interfering.
A man can dream

If Rockstar announces Agent for the second time, we all should be happy, exclusive or not.
I guess IF they really come with Agent it will be multiplat, with PS4 marketing deal.
And that's fine.

Kojima? No way.

Why not though? If Sony would do this, they'd have yet another very very talented developer in their stable, so to speak. As far as we know Kojima is still without any studio, he's certainly not with Konami anymore. Maybe not necessarily bringing Silent Hill with him (is that even possible anyway? It's Konami's IP, right?) but maybe have him on Team PS from now? It's not all that farfetched.

It could be possible, but perhaps Kojima just wants to be a free dev? Or he could even retire.... Well, we'll see in a few days. :P

It's a trick. I was optimistic for years about The Last Guardian.
When I gave up hope and joined the "It's-dead-force" it appeared in a jiffy.

Only want to speed things up.

Silent Hills will never happen. Kojima will retire.

Yeah, ah well...at the end of the day it's simply speculation by the guy, or did he...you know, hear that from a good source?
I don't know, he's supposed to have some insider info, but whether the info regarding Kojima is what he heard or his own hopes and dreams is unknown, I think.

It should be interesting. Rockstar there could mean a new game, but i personally believe they'll just debut singleplayer GTA V DLC, if anything.

What time is this show?

I personally want Rockstar to re-reveal Agent. I wasn't apart of the hype before, but the fact that it's mentioned in every Sony conference has me interested. The salt deposit will be huge if it remains a PS4 exclusive. :P

Anyway, the keynote is at 10:00 a.m. PST, I believe.

Exclusive is possible, but that would mean Take Two is ok with missing out on profit from otherwise Xbox versions as well, kinda doubt that. But we will find out soon. So tonight The Game Awards with some cool new trailers and saturday PSX, good times.

It'll be GoW IV and then a new IP in a few years.

You're right SSM needed to fall back on something safe and generate some income to keep the lights on at their fancy new studio :P

All I want is GT Sport trailer/gameplay.
