60fps confirmed? a stable framerate is th eonly thing keeping DD from being one of the best ever

60, 120, or 144! Now the question is 4K@60 on my TV or 1440p@144 on my monitor?

You should be able to achieve those resolutions and performance levels provided you have a capable, late model GPU. We'll publish system reqs along with other PC-specific info somewhere around Dec. 3rd.

How high do you think a 780ti could take it, an estimate ofc.
It depends on how much they improve the game/settings graphically over the console versions at maximum.

If the answer is "not too much" then 4k is a distinct possibility at >=2x console version framerates IMHO.

The Gamestar guy said he found the M/KB controls to be lacking and not intuitive and preferred the gamepad.
Generally, I greatly distrust any statements about controls from anyone in the game media. It happens that they just suck :p

Anyway, I'll play it with the Steam controller if the M/K controls really aren't up to par, no big loss.

More importantly, will be there "The wind is pushing meeeeeeeeee"?

I was hoping to see this confirmed. I can't watch the vid right now. Either way I'm sure it will be easy enough to mod in the original title theme.

I am so damn excited for this game.

Btw, i can tell that guy is playing in normal. Hell, as someone who's playing hard mode by late 2012 (i think) , that seems like god mode. I'm used to the fact that a chimera stomp is lethal at that level :D

These videos are really a dream come true. I loved what I played of the game, but I just could not finish it because of motion sickness. Dragon's Dogma Online scratched a particular itch for a while, but it's just not as good.

That 2nd video posted is a lot better, shows a lot more what DD is about, picks up a quest in town, then go on an adventure, night falls and runs into stupid stuff on the way back cause you get lost. And pawns spamming you with random crap the entire time.

Looks very nice though.

Wait a minute, this is the first time I am seeing this.

The game does "pause on hit"?

Oh man :/

Always had hitstop yeah, it's very noticeable on large hits like Warrior attacks. It's kind of a Capcom/Monster Hunter thing.

Looks good.
It'll look better though at 1440p and 144 FPS.

I think it's just your animations that do a very short pause to give an idea of impact.
It doesn't affect gameplay negatively from what I remember.
I don't think you get it if you play an archer or a mage.

I may just play as a mage then (I kind of already planned to anyway). I really dislike "hit and pause" in 3rd person action games. It makes my eyes feel really weird and made playing the force unleashed games feel terribly unsmooth for example.

Capcom has really been exceeding my expectations recently. We got this and Resident Evil 0 and Resident Evil 2 remakes/remasters.

we do it

I want this so much. I wish that I could bring over my 360 character, but whatever. This footage makes me glad that I bought a Steam Link.

What're the odds of this game supporting SLI? Not sure I'd be able to do 4k @ 60 fps on a single 680. Do the MT Framework games usually support it?

The whole feature was changed/updated a while ago. It does inject HBAO+ now.

It's more of a fighting game thing, but Capcom is one of the only developers that uses it regularly in other genres.

Glorious. Finally I can Mystic knight and have a sorcerer spamming magic together without the framerate going to single digits (although that was a sight to see)

I put over 1000hrs into DD/DA on PS3 and soooo want to play this but my PC bit the dust about 2 months back. I hope this does well enough that Capcpom decides to remaster for PS4.

i see. I didn't know 'cause i'm not a lost planet or a dead rising player.

To be fair, I'm tongue in cheek about it. I was never a diehard of any of those games, nor of Capcom in general. I do think they kinda shit on those games as they went along to the point they made me not want to touch them.
