Siren's team is working on Gravity Daze.

What I meant was that Kojima can just make his horror game under the Siren IP, he doesn't need the Silent Hill IP (which was dead anyway until he stepped in with Silent Hills). Or they can just make it a brand new IP.

I keep hearing people say this, to just shoehorn their Silent Hills idea into a new IP or whatever. In all honesty, if the story they constructed for Silent Hills is so general that that can happen, I'd be pretty disappointed. I was truly excited to see Kojima's take on the Silent Hill universe.

Does anybody remember when they purchased their tickets that they said that you should purchase with your PSN ID and that it will be explained later or something. Any info on that?

No idea about SSM.

Verendus said Bend is there?
Okay disregard what I said my info must be old.

He just said "relatively soon." Nothing concrete.

Edit: He also said a "2017 announcement would be kind of insane." So, nothing that quite points to PSX as the show it'll be revealed at.

God of War seems likely...
Remake - new trailer seems probable...
AGENT - would be sleeper cell manchurian candidate levels bonkers awesome.

I want it. So bad. And it doesn't even exist.

Came across this and my hype for the conference just took a nosedive.

Not looking forward to the 10-15 minutes being spent on COD Destiny and Battelfront.

That doesn't mean that they will be at the conference.

It's an ad for PSX in general, which is a two day event.

I know it is not an indicator of what will be at the conference. But they're almost a sure bet to be there. The poster/image just acted as a reminder/reality check for me.

Always brings the conference down to a grindnig halt imo. But then again, it's not like the conference is being made specifically for me. There are folks out there who are definitely interested in what new content will be coming out for these games.

Heading over in just a few minutes to the convention center to set up our booth. Looking forward to seeing what's set up so far. :D

Friends: What teases have we had other than Bend being present? I check in periodically for the rumor mill and the thread is too deep to parse through now.

Can anybody catch me up?

They will definitely give some time to their 3rd party partners. Maybe some teases of BF or COD DLC

It is kinda sad to see an advertisement for a PlayStation-centric event featuring the likes of Black Ops III guy, Destiny guy and a stormtrooper. Because they're the kind of icons that the hardcore PS fan associates with the brand after all.

I get why they're there, but it still leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

I do look forward to the complaining from third party titles being shown.

"Dammit, Sony! Why are you focusing on games that will by far sell your system the best?!?!"

I agree with you completely. Keep that for E3, PSX is generally for the more hardcore crowd and most of us don't care for those in the same way that PS icons would speak to us. What's more interesting, COD or Horizon? Ughh.. I imagine marketing and contracts have been put in place for cases like this though unfortunately.

If they spend 20-25 minutes after their first trailer to spend time on the Ubisoft, EA and Activision games and then focus on other games, it wouldn't phase me at all.

Why is it either/or?

Exactly. I want them to show off what the core PlayStation fan wants. Fan service basically. Localizations, Long awaited remasters, firmware updates and feedback, revivals of ps1 or ps2 IPs that PlayStation owns or 3rd party IPs that are heavily associated and resonates more with PlayStation.

In a nutshell, stuff that core and old PlayStation fans wanna see.

Some say. Well.. What about something new? And I say thats where SSM, Bend, and all the other collaboration with 2nd party studios come into play. We heard rumors about level 5 collabing with Japan Studio. Maybe there other 2nd party studios that collabed with Japan Studio. Could United Front games ne collabing with Sony San Diego on another new IP? Maybe Sanzaru? Y'all know what I mean.

Even if Tidux has inside info I feel his predictions are a little safe at times. Like nearly no one would be surprised if Bend was there, and if they're not "hey, plans change."

I just got back from setting up my booth, and it was really exciting to walk around and see everything being set up.

We've still got one more day of setup, so still much to do tomorrow.

Also, I'm super excited to see the keynote in person on Saturday. Hopefully I don't sleep in!!

I feel like I will never get to see Sony Bend's project. I had hoped to see it at prior event this year and last year and now it might not show up at PSX as well. Oh well.
