Bend was working on a Vita game that was eventually canned and then they had to find a new concept and build a PS4 game. This is the first time that they've made a game from the ground up on a console in over 10 years. Japan Studio releases games relatively frequently. SSM had their big project canned not too long ago. And is fairly consistent (two-years per release).

-We all know Bends Vita title got canned, but they released their last game about 4 years ago which is an absolute joke. Hearing how Bend started production for their PS4 game just this year shows they don't have their shit in order to say the least.

-SSM canned Stigs game some years ago now and they let go of a lot of staff. They didn't tell everyone to fuck off though, more than enough developers stayed and then Barlog joined the studio in August 2013. Realistically, the game sounds like a 2017 title which would mean it would have been 4 or so years since he came back that SSM were able to release their next AAA game.

Lots of studios go through shit but Bend and SSM are two in particular which have been absolutely awful. I don't really care about Bend seeing how they last released a game I liked in the 90's before my balls dropped so whatever with them but SSM seriously disappoint me.

Don't even get me started on GT: Sport, I'll play it but fuck knows what's happening there. It better have some sort of SP otherwise PD are just getting a rental from me. Save me Sucker Punch, you're the only Sony studio that has been good to me since the PS3 days. :P

So I made this countdown - is it correct?

No, it's 6 PM

I know about Bend's and SMS's situation. It's because of their incompetence that both games were cancelled. We've still been waiting for a while. I was talking about AAA console games for consoles for SJ.
Translation: Give me Legend of Dragoon reboot. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Dream Translation: Include Mitsuda as composer. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Considering there is only a day away from the PSX, my expecations for the show dialed down a bit; still hopeful that its enjoyable and we get some great announcements, but not expecting much.

My final list of expectations from the show:
-Uncharted 4 Story Trailer
-Bloodborn DLC highlight (remind people its out)
-Street Fighter V Character announcements
-Final Fantasy VII Remake Trailer; in-engine and its 1-2 minutes of Cloud walking around, fighting, ect
-Announce that the PS4 Port of FFVII is released RIGHT NOW!
-A bunch of indie game announcements and many of them are cross-buy with PS4 and Vita
-Sony Bend or Santa Monica announces a new project at the show
-PS VR Release Date and Price announced
-Bamco, Square Enix, Idea Factory and other JP Publishers announce games coming to PS4 and/or Vita in the west (God Eater Resurrection and 2 Rage Burst, Final Fantasy XII HD, Neptuina Vs. Sega Hard Girls
-(Not likely)- Dragon Quest XI localization announced for the west alongside Builders and Heroes 2. Builders releases early 2016, Heroes 2 releases in the summer of 2016 and XI gets a winter 2016 release date
-PS1 and PS2 Classics announced for PS4: More details come out on how it works (cross-buy if you own them on PS3, pricing, new features, ect) and it releases after the event starting with Twisted Metal Black, Dark Cloud 1 and 2, Ape Escape 2 and a number of ones already on the PS3 PSN Store
-Show closes with Crash Bandicoot coming on stage jumping out of a create and a trailer starts playing. This plays while Crash runs through a HD version of the original games level.....but as things slowly change and get bigger a rock version of this plays when a montage of all you can do in the game plays. Trailer ends with Crash using his Wampa Fruit Bazooka and shooting at the screen, with the words 'Crash Bandicoot Returns' appears. Co-Developed by Travelers Tales (Crash Twinsanity) and Naughty Dog, with it targeting a Fall 2016 release

Wait.

These are your DIALED DOWN expectations?

:)

You mean Crash appearing, right? Because I am expecting that at the PSX :l. Sony have been teasing him ever since the PS4 launch and it has to lead to SOMETHING happening with the IP.

I also said (Not Likely) when talking about Dragon Quest.

So I don't know what you mean man :l.

So, you know what happened throughout development? Do you care to share more specifics?
You're right man. Usually when games get cancelled, it's because they're knocking it out of the park. It usually starts off with Shu's jaw dropping several feet down, saying how incredibly it looks, plays and how much money it will make shortly before he cancels it because he is evil. You right.

Who says we won't?
Cory has tweeted it unless he's lying.

Lol. It's just that I feel like now I need to know your best case scenario...

Okay :).

-Exclusive Sonic PS4 game
-Sonic Colors gets ported to Vita
-Mega Man Legends series gets HD Remaster on PS4 and Vita
-Ape Escape 4 and Jak 4 announced, coming to both PS4 and Vita
-Ico Collection getting a Vita/PS4 version
-Last Guardian releasing right after the event
-KH3 getting a Spring 2016 release date

I have others wants, but those are just some of them ;). None likely to happen though.

Who making the OT for this? I have a hype train image for the OP if he wants to add it.

A hype train that CAN'T be boarded, remember.

That isn't what I said whatsoever. There is no need to create a strawman argument. I am saying you have no clue of what occurred during development and what hurdles got in the way to be able to claim it is due to incompetency. You're implying all game cancellations are due to developer incompetency. Does that sound plausible to you?

What other reason could there be? SMS's has been leaked for exactly that reason.

If we don't get a Crash reboot announcement, I'd at least want to see them all available for download on the Vita and the PSTV. I'm annoyed that I still can't play them on there.

Old list that isn't updated with Bound and some of the Japanese titles like VC Remaster and Kadokawa stuff, but it's a good overview of this year in general, with last year's PSX announcement included striked for reference.
