PlayStation Experience 2015 Thread: The Year of Dreams

The Show was ok. But if there wouldn't have been Ni No Kuni 2 there would not have been a game I really cared about. Maybe Day of the Tentacle. The other games I just didn't care about.
And ending the conference with a fucking MOBA *sigh*. What a dumb idea. What a dumb idea to even make the game EPIC.

PSX 2015 in a nutshell:

Hahahahah

So many haters in this thread, wow... Pretty disappointing.

I loved the show, lots of stuff to be excited about.

Me too, I thought it was great. The VR stuff isn't for me, but I really liked the rest of it. Were people expecting another E3? That said, ending on a moba was terrible.

The only thing that disappointed me is seeing every VR game have the graphical fidelity of a PS2 launch game. Seriosuly, they were all hideous.

That was weak. To think I wasted all this precious time watching this when I could've spend it reading slash fan fiction instead.

So disappointing. No Rime, no Bend, no Santa Monica... I don't think there were any big first-party announcements, were there? That being said, there were a few things I did like. Ratchet and Clank, Hob (that looked really interesting), Uncharted 4 having branching conversations (it looks like they have no effect whatsoever on the plot but still),... and that's about it, I believe.

So uh... I guess Valkyria Azure Revolution and Chronicles Remastered aren't coming west?

Considering this is essentially the only logical event that Chronicles Remastered localization could be announced at before its JP release in February, and it doesn't strike me as something that'd have a long localization turnaround considering it's an already localized game.

Oh well, enjoy Yakuza, people.

Show was fine. They had games to show and announce.

Was always going to be filler to keep you updated til e3

Only thing i dont like about sony is how they act so businessy

A meh overall but FFVII and Ni No Kuni 2 we're two special moments. I also like the strong focus on all the indie games. They all looked rather fun.

Anyways I'm off to play VII :)

Playstation VR really reminds me of Kinect all the money spent on that could have produced some pretty big games. I do admit that VR is the future unlike the Kinect, but if this is where the money is going it's pretty meh.

Oh well I hope Ace Combat is good.

No 1st party announcements was a huge bummer.
Where is God Of War? Whats Sony BEND doing? How is GT7 coming along? Whats Sucker Punchs new project?

gnahh

I'm just still in awe from that ending. A CG trailer of a MOBA from Epic that is going into early access and will be on PC as well, that being its main platform cause c'mon people.

When they plan for these kind of presentation what room of people agree that is going to be the best way to end it?

Weird conference.
I loved a lot of the stuff they showed, but they needed to present it differently and they needed a God of War 4 teaser. Missed opportunity.

There may have been a couple of neat reveals, but a couple of good minutes out of a dreadful two hours doesn't excuse this shitshow from Sony.

Come on what the fuck?

They love pissing on people in these conferences.

Crash T-shirt for nothing (although I think something it's definetly happening)
Ending on a ultra generic looking moba
Where's Horizon? Dreams? Detroit?

It was not a bad conference, but boy the really know how to shit up good announcements.

2/10

2 points for AC7, subtract 1 for it being VR. Add one point for HoB game that looked like weird Zelda.

Seriously, that show sucked. Can't believe I got excited for that . Feelbad for people who travelled and waited in line. Bend was a no show. Santa Monica dropped shovelware.

L.O.L.

Pretty bad conference. There was some stuff in there that really interested me, but it was not enough for two whole hours.

I think overall it was a good show. Plenty of games for everyone.
Great show, weak ending. If Epic thinks they have something special, then they should have showed gameplay.

That game Hog should have been a closer, it looks amazing.

Would rather have a game focused on PS funded stuff though. The COD section was annoying, do that stuff at e3. Why can't PSX just be about Sony things?

Ideal PSX, every member of WWS, even if they don't have anything to show, talks a few minutes onstage about the future of the platform, what they are doing, and only reveal things from in house, Sony published, or co-developed projects.

Really, amazing stuff coming to the platform, but putting third party in, and we just run out of time.

I can't believe I woke up early and spent 2 hours of my Saturday watching this. 3/10 because the ending was so anticlimactic. Sony is starting to piss me off. This is exactly how Microsoft started acting when they had a the lead (in the US) last gen

Well that was fucking terrible. Should have stopped watching after FF7.

No Rime
No Witness
No No Mans Sky
No The Last Guardian
No Horizon Zero Dawn
No Dreams
No Detroit
No Sony Santa Monica
No Sony Bend

Way to showcase your 2016 lineup. Sure am excited for 2016 year of the mobile games though after watching this.

We opened with a Crash Bandicoot t-shirt. Then FFVII remake video. Then an hour and a half of indies with an occasional mention of something else.

Honestly, I could not be more disappointed.

I'm just sitting here shaking my head. I kept thinking maybe indies were just something to fill time until we got to the big announcements, but Ni No Kuni II was all that there was really.

I didn't have any crazy expectations, but I definitely expected something more impressive than that.
