You can run circles around the hiher level parts of the map. Subway, roof tops, etc. Find like 4 contaminated zone and loop around. Try not to get dicked in Extraction, kill some Rogues, and repeat. Move on to next higher level area.

I guess I am the only one that isn't feeling the shooting mechanics at all? I didn't dig them in Watch_Dogs and in this one they don't feel satisfying neither. Shame.

At first on my own but today someone in the game invited me to tag along and we did some missions, but I'm just not having tons of fun. Those sidemissions just get so repetitive, and for some reason I did not expect that.

guess I'll have to go at them some more tonight.....I didn't really feel dragged by the sidequests because we ended up losing track of where we were going in the first place. Found a subway with a badass loot bag though. I'll check it out some more when I get home......11 hour days really make this such a drag.
 
Reading through the last few pages i see a lot of impressions of the PVP. How is the co-op PVE though? Looking for something me and a friend can really sink our teeth into and this game sounds like it has potential. We love co-op + loot PVE and we're not so hot on PVP but dabble in it from time to time. Is this a game that should be on our radar?
 
People really don't like open PvP very much as a whole. I expect the dark zones to be very unpopular and people just call them gank fest etc.

While limited, looks like there is potential, points of interest are marked on map , you can find loot along the way, craft materials

You get a taste of a dungeon/mission, repeatable, normal/hard modes lvl scaleable, sure there to be more

I would say put it on your radar. It allows teams up to 4. I don't think anyone right now is aware of what you are able to do in the full game as far as content. So, maybe check out the beta and maybe they will have more info before the release.
 
Just played a couple of hours of the Alpha, i really like it but the movement controls feel a bit sluggish, there's a good 1.5 second delay when trying to roll out of the way of gunfire for instance.

I like the shooting, it feels like i'm in a proper gun fight. I imagine with mods and stuff each weapon will feel even more different, i just hope the variety is there to make collecting weapons worth while.

Also fairly excited by the base stuff, seems like a lot of opportunities to flesh out your own operations, and having certain missions to help upgrade each part could be interesting for as long as there is lots of variety.

And unless this Alpha is from months ago, i'd be very surprised if this game ships in March. The state it is in now, it feels like it needs a lot longer to get ready.

I love the pve aspect of the game, but like destiny this all depends on content and structure.
 
My squad was in a war zone
We backed up to a zip line exit
And shot players as they came up
They got smart and chucked Molotovs at us lol
Great battle

You can go down in rank too if you die alot

Whenever they have betas like this, you're never playing the most up to date version. You're most likely playing a build that is quite old.

With that said...that doesn't mean they'll fix whatever issues there are.
 
Idk, I haven't even ventured into the darkzone or anything but side stuff and exploring the city for loot has been more fun for me than destiny ever was. Not sure if its the semi-more realistic setting, that its in my home city, or that it just feels like there is the potential for a lot more content in this game than launch Destiny, but Ubi has got my $$ at this point for sure.

what can we legitimately talk about in regards to this alpha. I can understand specific negative critics because its a work in progress but if people are enjoying it, cant they say what they like? I mean things like that do not normally change.

Same. It's just a way more boring version of the base game where you can kill other players. Honestly, every part of it seems badly designed. Everyone is just going to kill everyone on sight for the most part. Even if people don't want to do that, the area is so fucking barren there's nothing else to do but kill out of boredom.

If it has been shown or discussed publicly I would say its fair game. If it is 100% new to the Alpha, no-go. We love feedback, both positive and negative, but be sure to post it on the Official Alpha forums.
 
I just played this game call The Diffusion that had really great graphics with a really detailed world. I was very impressed by it.

Fair enough. Ill pay a visit over there with some insight

but for people wondering what its like, the graphics at this point are remarkable. IMO almost the best we have seen simply due to the alpha effects and attention to detail. I cant fathom how long it took to make the world look the way it does, its simply awe inspiring. Frame rate is near silky smooth as well. If the game was to release tomorrow, looking like it does right now I would be perfectly fine with it. I think we are all in a real treat on what the game will look like months from now when it comes out. Ubi has done a complete 180 from their typical downgraded wonky frame rate games of the past 2 years with this title and need to be applauded.

Controls are workable and the cover system is very smart. Probably the best in this genre of cover based shooters. There are some issues here and there that im sure will be improved but the basic premise of the cover system is this; when your locked in cover you simply look where you want to go and hold A and it just works. There is a little line that shows the path you will take to get there and it seems there is no constraint on distance. There is no need to fumble with complexity for no reason, no need to press a button to get out of cover, press a button to run/parkour over object and get back into cover. Point and go and simply release A if you change your mind.

Atmosphere and ambient music really pull you in. Remember that trailer? yeah, goosebumps.

I wont go into huge details due to NDA, so here is just some basic info in order for you guys to remain hyped, its worth it. As long as the content matches the rest of the top tier stuff we dabbled in the alpha ubi has a real winner on their hands.
 
How is the aiming in this game? Or the general gun play? I guess that's my biggest concern because I really hated it in Watch_Dogs. I don't know, there was massive input lag and something was off with the acceleration or something.

is this essentially the game? or just a smaller ( not referring to size and scale ) aspect of the game as a whole? something similar to lets say multilayer in an assassins creed game? or is it the main focus similar to what multiplayer is to halo/call of duty series?

I have so many questions because I kinda just dove in without knowing much about the game... But idk what I can and cant talk about exactly so I guess they'll have to wait.

I guess I can say this... This game went from "I dont expect it to live up to the hype" to "Wow this game is actually pretty damn dope" lol

This very well may be the Destiny replacement for me.
