No. Those lines are from return of the Jedi. They're taken from the audio of that film.
What do you mean? Kylo Ren kills the new Jedi, Luke hides his daughter on Jakku to keep her away from him, then goes to the temple for reasons. She's waiting for her family to come pick her back up again because she doesn't know anything about this Jedi thing, and Luke doesn't really intend to because it would put her in danger. Or something like that.

I'm quite sure that "you have that power, too" is a new line, not from RotJ.That was from RotJ...
I don't remember that at all from RotJ. Who was he talking too?

Luke never says "You have that power too" in ROTJ.

One of the things I loved: Chewie getting a direct hit, straight gut shot, on Ren for killing Han. What a great moment. I was half-worried that Chewie was going to sacrifice himself into blowing up the pillars then too.

Movie felt weak and lost. No identity.
i just can't believe Luke allowed this shit to happen--it's very irresponsible and unlike him
No, he says it in response to Leia tell him he has a power she could never understand.
By the way, the Visual Dictionary is incredible. It basically shows everything they cut from the movie, like the entire sub-plot involving the Senate, Leia's representative in it, and the Republic's current capital, Hosnian Prime.
Basically, the Republic now chooses a different capital every so often, so that it doesn't depend as much on one single planet or centralized government. It helps with preventing a dictator from rising, but it became too slow to respond to the First Order. But the movie completely glosses over that, probably because Abrams was too afraid the similarities with the politics of the prequels.
And you know this how?

So does Finn have the Force? My take is that he obviously doesn't because for once, fuck the Force, a person can do a lot through sheer will and determination. I loved that he held his own for a while against a fairly trained Force user. We had heard a thread in the the days leading up to the movie that a non-Force user could never, ever use a Lightsaber effectively and that has definitely been proven wrong.
So Kylo Ren was basically what Anakin should have been.
She really is a Mary Sue. I like her a lot but her lack of flaws is in and of itself a flaw.
What should have happened in that interrogation was Kylo getting his way but then feeling a sudden push back that unsettled him and him report to Snoke to inform him.
What we got instead was Kylo talking shit, getting mentally beat and then running off like a bitch.
The duel in the forest was pretty disappointing too. Injured or not, Kylo should've had them both easily. Finn vs Kylo is what Rey vs Kylo should have been like. A short confrontation wherein she acquitted herself well - all things considered - but still ended up having to make a tactical retreat.
Rey fucking up Kylo really was the nadir for me.
He doesn't say it at all in any of the alternate takes or recordings that Lucasarts have on file from the production of VI?!
Because that could be where. Or it could be a new line. Who knows.
Also, so hard to watch Han die. Knew it was coming. I was squirming in my seat hoping he'd get out of there. =(
I'm fine with that stuff being outside the movie for fans who are into it. General audiences don't care about space politicsFor fuck's sake
The movie really, really needed something like this.
Movie felt weak and lost. No identity.
It was sadder to see him fall into the pit never to be seen again. Such a brutal way to kill an iconic character.
My thoughts too.
Damn I love Adam Driver in this
I thought it was pretty clear that Kylo Ren with some un-Vader-like tantrums and his pouting is a relatively weak "Sith" by PT and even OT standards. He's basically garbage until he gets serious training. He was emotionally distracted enough to get hit by a blaster and couldn't mentally shake off the pain like normal Force users. He got tested before the fight began and lost. I'm 100% sure that ESB Luke would have schooled him.

Kylo's tantrums are fucking hilarious.

I'd say there's more evidence that he's force sensitive than not. But impossible to say right now.
