Glad I was not the only one getting that vibe. If anything it may be a cousin or something. I bet $50 she is related to him in some way.Just be Luke's daughter.
Please.
I love the Internet sometimes.Saw this on Reddit.

I actually need more space and vehicular combat in it. Also I am confused: There's the republic and the first order. Then there's the Resistance? Why doesn't the republic have its own army? They rely on some outside group to fight their battle for them? And if their not an outside group(but it really seems they are) then why would you call yourselves 'The Resistance' if your part of the legitimate government?
Ah well, I still loved the movie. I knew Han was going to die in this as soon as I learned Ford was reprising the role. Still hit me hard though. The entire theater went silent.
I don't know what you mean by "None of that actually happened"... When everyone came outside and looked up to see Starkiller base being fired, you could see that Finn was in the process of boarding that ship, but they stopped to look up and watch the fireworks.
Finn never actually really left. He was just about to, but then things went sideways and he ended up being stuck there fighting the First Order forces that arrived. Once Finn saw Rey get taken, he decided to stay so he could help get her back. Next time they saw each other was when Rey hugged him for coming to rescue her.
Phasma, now brainwashed to serve the First Order, which is why the child had to be hidden.
This is some vindictive ass shit.
They're a part of SW. They made integral changes and additions to the universe. Handwaving them away isn't going to solve anything.
And fetishizing the OT isn't helping either.
Seriously though, Jacen should have been Kylo's real name. It really should have.
Wow, this thread is moving fast... question again:
Did they digitally alter Carrie Fisher's face to look more like her younger self? Or am I just crazy?
But why hide a child (for many years) on a shitty planet like Jakku? At least Obi-Wan was reasonable enough to bring Luke/Leia to caring families.
I really wanted the severed hand thing to be true. This is funny. 50 rumors which weren't true. http://screencrush.com/star-wars-force-awakens-false-rumors/

maybe it's r2
jedi have needs, too
I found it interesting how Kylo Ren was conflicted about not being dark enough, was killing his father the tipping point?
who's the mommy?
100% agree. Jakku was way better than the rest, and the final fight was really lacking in terms of cinematography I thought. Man, the first part of that Luke/Vader duel on Bespin, so damn good. Also, that real snow > fake snow.
Why hide a child on a shitty planet like Tattoine?
who's the mommy?
So who cares who her parents really were?
Kylo definitely has Anakin's blood, ha ha.The film was really good, it lived up to the hype and had tons of heart. Also, the last act reminded me of Black Ops III >_>. Kylo Rens childish tantrums were some of my favorite parts. I knew Han Solo might not make it but it was still shocking when he got killed :/
Maybe she is a Skywalker and a Kenobi?would love for Rey to be a Kenobi relative
but we need a direct son or daughter of Luke--it'd be really quite sad if he never had a kid
So what R2 has a force awakening sensor ? Wtf
Why hide a child on a shitty planet like Tattoine?
I don't think that was ever brought up in the movie, though. I only heard of it in the pre-release discussion
JJ Abrams said:“Kylo Ren is not a Sith. He works under Supreme Leader Snoke, who is a powerful figure on the Dark Side of the Force.”
At least Luke had family there. Rey seems to have no one.
The only wrench in the "Rey is a Kenobi" thing for me is that trying to explain this to the audience would get really exposition heavy because you'd need to explain;
--When Obi-Wan found a wife/love
--What happened to her before A New Hope
--What happened to Obi-Wan's child/children before A New Hope
--Why Obi-Wan didn't train his own offspring to be Jedi
--What happened to Rey's parents
--Why Rey was left alone
That honestly might be too much to lay on an audience.
Yo but Finn wasn't really incompetent at all. The worst that happened is that he wasn't very good with a lightsaber--a weapon he wasn't trained to use. Other than that, dude was firing off rounds and sniping people left and right with his blaster and picked up on the Falcon's ancient-ass targeting system relatively swiftly. He was integral to the resistance knowing how to blow up Starkiller Base. Shit, if anything he was way too competent for having just been a janitor.
Dude pulled his weight even without the sheer charisma and bravery.

Midichlorians. It's like poetry.
Luke fucked the force
I really hope that Phasma really died in the trash compactor. It's just too funny.
DAMNOne reference that they COMPLETELY missed out on that would have been perfect:
When Han dies and Leia gets the wind knocked out of her, they should have had 3PO ask her what's wrong, and she should have responded "I sense a disturbance in the force."
I agree, but I've literally heard, "black peeta" "Jar Jar" etc. etc.
I mean, I could blame the marketing, but like I'm worried it's gonna get out of hand.
One of my favorite parts is how we were just thrown into the story again. Just like ANH there was a story already happening and we the audience were there along for the ride without all this long exposition. Sure they called out a few things from the past but it was so refreshing to just be thrown into the loop 32 years after the original.

She didn't. She's gonna be the Boba Fett of this trilogy I feel.
