Yeah it's poorly designed. 1st can be mistaken by first place. Most text is on the left side of the card making it easy to dismiss what is on the right, especially if your hand is blocking some of that. Miss universe can indeed look like stationary branding
Don't get me wrong... Harvey should have checked and rechecked again. But that's not good design

What's sad/funny is that Pia Wurtzbach attempted Miss Philippines (aka Bb. Pilipinas) 3x until she won the title Miss Philippines (she got 1st runner up in 2013, top 15 in 2014, and winner of Miss Philippines in 2015), only to get the most unepic Miss Universe win, ever.
It's very poorly designed IMO. Holding it in his right hand he could easily have been covering the lower right portion with his thumb etc. Being so off center it even looks at first glance like it's just a logo-ed part of the card, not the part where the key information is!

As we were watching it live, I was only half paying attention while browsing GAF and my wife started telling me to rewind it to look at Steve walking out, saying he looked confused and didn't know what he was doing or he walked out on accident. We stopped it before he took the mic and made the correction announcement and I rewound it and we giggled at how he was acting.
When we let it keep playing after that, just, we had no clue what we were in store for, haha.

Well the spacing could use some help.. But he was right to call out the 2nd placer the country name is right beside it and all of a sudden he messes un the 1st runner up? It was laid out exactly like the same thing he just read lol.
