Good to see they are tailoring the recommendations well to specific interests.

In my 1600+ games on Steam, I own zero Call of Duty titles, but the first thing my queue showed me was Black Ops 3.

What's the verdict on Kentucky Route Zero? I've been waiting for a sale for a while and now it's here.

So long as you don't mind waiting another year or two, it's honestly one of the most refreshing and human experiences to come out on Steam. The drama is subdued, driven more by the characters and what they say, or don't say, which makes the choices feel more weighty than deciding if someone lives or dies. Despite this, the world it takes place in is anything but normal, and I'm always pleasantly surprised at what strange places the devs take us to. I won't spoil them though. The sense of awe in discovery is something I think should be saved for the game itself.

If you're a fan of magical realism, literary analysis and slowly paced films, KR0 is the best purchase you can make. Act 4 of 5 is due very soon, and what's already there is quite substantial to ponder over. I'd also recommend picking up the free interlude chapters, available on the official website. Limits & Demonstrations goes in between Act 1 and 2, The Entertainment slides on in nice and cuddly between Act 2 and 3, with Here and There Along the Echo being the current bookend leading us between Act 3 and the eventual Act 4.

Fuck it, Final Fantasy Lightning-II is mine.

Can always just return the fucker if it runs as pitiful as the Final Fantasy Lightning-I did.

Boring sale overall. I only got LISA for $2.49, looking forward to playing that.

I'm really glad I got into PC gaming back when insanely good flash sales were still a thing.

I hope there's a free weekend soon.

There was one just this past weekend. Where were you? The Siege thread was giving away weekend keys to redeem on Uplay for it. The weekend just ended last night.

Well, it's a game that's not even a month old and -50%

Many other games could learn from them. Namely...

0% ENIGMA : An Illusion Named Family
0% Cheats 4 Hire
0% Over The Hills And Far Away
0% BloodLust Shadowhunter
20% A Kiss For The Petals - Remembering How We Met
25% Highschool Romance
30% The Coma: Cutting Class
30% Sound of Drop - fall into poison -
40% Tokyo School Life

Shovel Knight

Probably going to get that for Vita when I'm away next month.

Dark Dreamd Dont Die is a musthave, but it's cheaper on Playism. Invisible Inc. is also amazing if you're into turn based stealttactic.

Yeah Invisible Inc looks great, I'll probably grab that too. I own Deadly Premonition and just haven't had a chance, but I really want to play it.

Thanks for the help dudes.

I'm kinda tempt to get Dreamfall Chapter though, I've been eyeing this ever since it was announced and even bought the previous games for it which I have yet to play, hmm decisions....

In my 1600+ games on Steam, I own zero Call of Duty titles, but the first thing my queue showed me was Black Ops 3.

Their queue system is so shitty, I looked at it earlier and all the things they showed to me was because they were "popular" even though the vast majority of them were multiplayer only games which I never play.

i guess 20% off undertale is better than nothing

still unsure, fortunately no dailies means i got days to think about it

So, Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition and Dark Souls II Scholar of the First Sin both got good discounts and I was thinking if I should get both right now. I've never played a Souls game before, I've only seen friends playing them and I thought they were interesting, but never came around buying it.

Now I've finally decided to give it a try, but I don't know if I should get Dark Souls II right away or just try the first on and then, if I like it, try the next one. Granted, if that happens I would have to wait til winter (south america) for Dark Souls II to get a new discount.

I'm a little short on the money side (only have around $20) and was looking forward to getting other things, like Skyrim: Dragonborn and Aviary Attorney, maybe Witcher 1 and 2 as well, since that is another franchise I was hoping to get into. What would you guys suggest?
i'd say wait for it and just get dark souls 1

- you don't know if you like it yet
- souls games are long and have tons of replayability so dks1 will keep you busy for a wihle
- these games go on sale frequently so you'll see dks2 on sale soon enough
- you're not gonna play both at the same time and probably not back-to-back either so why not wait until you actually gonna play 2?

one suggestion for buying them right now is just having them both so you're well prepared for 3 but that's assuming you like them enough to want to play 3

it's a really good "third person walking simulator" thing in that you're basically experiencing a story as developers intended it and there's not much else to it than that. that being said you have a higher degree of agency compared to other similar games that allows you to make the story a bit more personal to you which i really appreciated even if it doesn't directly influence the path the game's gonna take. you can like choose your dog's name or make some comments about your characters' pasts that just makes it feel like you're collaborating in writing the story, like it's your own take on it. something like that

and the story and atmosphere and all of that is fantastic. it's eerie and fantastical in that magical realism sense that's a very unexplored territory in games so it just feels very refreshing

i'd say for sure recommended if u know what you're getting into

I got LISA, Undertale and Legend of Grimrock 2 for 14€. Not the greatest sale but at least there was something for me.

I remember those fun scavenger hunts. You would buy crap games to reap potentially awesome rewards. The deals were amazing too. Only Activision was powerful enough to resist Valve. Now it seems like publishers finally dog-piled Valve into submission. The Steam sales are soulless now. Between this and Half-life 3, Valve continues to distance itself from games and embrace money, except the wealth no longer trickles down in the form of amazing deals.

But then again, I'm only bitter because I'm a disgustingly cheap slob and Soma is still over $20.

This does look pretty good, and the premise is interesting. 100% positive ratings as well (only 26 reviews, but still).
I only started playing it earlier this month, but it's a very good game and one of the few that are very good but got almost completely looked over as it stands currently.

I'm usually a sucker for those sorts of games, but I just couldn't get into it, don't know why. Plus the long gaps between acts means you're probably going to forget a lot of the story so far once a new one comes out. I wouldn't buy it until all of the acts are released.

Yeah same here, Undertale was one of those must get during sale games for me but just 20% makes me hesitant, but as you safe at least now one has time to think about it.:D

Buy it! Amazing adventure game! Can't wait for Book 5.

Also: Final Fantasy XIII-2 still problematic about FPS or did they fix it? Can i play stable 60FPS with this system? (and maybe 4k)

Getting rid of Flash Sales/Daily Deals is one of the worst things Valve has ever done. These discounts suck.

But now we don't have to check once every 24hrs for new deals which is such a chore in this day and age of no mobile internet so please be excited this is so much better.

Guess i'll wait for the price to drop then.
I do have other games to play right now after all.

Is ARMA 2's campaign any good? (And it is any good as single player game in general?)

Sadly not. There's a few good missions, but a lot of inconsistency again. I've not looked at the ARMA 2 mods out there, so can't advise on that.

Know a lot of you are recommending Trails in the Sky. I haven't enjoyed many JRPGs in the past decade (Persona 3/4, Lost Odyssey, and Vesperia were the only ones). There hasn't been a JRPG in the past 6 years that has caught my eye.

Is Trails something that might interest me?

Clicked through my 36 unwanted game advertisements. Frowned at my wishlist and its lack of decent sales.

Guess I'll come back tomorrow for another cycle through 36 more ads for games I don't want for my three free trading cards.

Fucking Bethesda. I can't get New Vegas Ultimate because it's "Already in my Library". Which is of course bullshit. So the only way for me to get the DLC's is to buy them all separately which costs a good deal more than the Ultimate package.

Edit: Oh. You can buy it regardless. Nevermind, outrage for nothing :lol

Here's one game I'm going to copy and paste things I previously wrote to try to get some people to try this severely underlooked quality game:

-----

Here's a game I'm currently playing on Steam that is way too overlooked for its own good:

Why Am I Dead At Sea

I'm about 3 hours in right now, and it's been getting very gripping. This game obviously has some Earthbound inspiration, but to explain it briefly, you're a ghost on a ship who is brought to consciousness by a spiritually gifted passenger on the ship to help prevent some sort of terrible occurrence that he senses is approaching the residents of the ship. You can possess people, but only if you know them well and reach a level of understanding how they work. Come to completely understand a person, and you can take full control of them. Each person you possess has a different personality obviously and recognition/relationship with others to allow different dialogue stuff to talk about, but each also has a special ability, ranging from being able to see what's in peoples pockets to being able to tell the tone of the voice someone's voice is in for a line of dialogue (okay, aggravated, hiding something, etc.). Even your spirit self has a special ability to peek into the mindscapes and thoughts of others (which is actually done in a pretty cool way). Featuring multiple endings and branching story possibilities, the game has enjoyable characters, an interesting and twisting story, and actually delivers many unexpected feelings of a range of emotions throughout, and has a really good soundtrack.

And yet it's barely gotten over 1,000 in sales and most don't even know it exists. Deserves WAY more attention.

Here's some screens:

make an OT for this. people will buy it just because you said "Earthbound." I know I just did.
