Probably because not a lot of people have time to be glued to the Steam store, and don't like missing deals.

As someone who hasn't really bought much in the last few sales, the new system is actually pretty useful for me. I can just buy all the stuff I want in one or two sessions instead of hoping the little I haven't bought already hits a daily. The excitement isn't really there anymore, but it had already faded after my first couple of sales anyways.

Yep even during a holiday sale, unless you have credit. It's good to do a quick check to see if it's cheaper anywhere else. Enhanced Steam works wonders for that on chrome. Since it'll show the current lowest price for items.

Didn't know that Final Fantasy XIII was 50GB. Well, at least I can play all my other games until this is downloaded and I don't have a data cap.

Maybe I'll cave in and buy Celestian Tales, Final Fantasy V or Ys VI. But I hope think this is highly unlikely.

Divinity - Flashier presentation, better combat system

Pillars - Better world-building & lore, better writing quality

Both have strengths but for me it's Pillars, hands down.

Quake bundle is complete shit. They raised the price. Doesn't even come with Quake 4. Bundlestars Quake bundle from earlier this month had all that AND Quake 4. AT the same price! Fucking hate that I didn't get it when I had the chance. Hope they bring it back.

I knew I saw a better bundle. I'll just wait for that to hopefully return.

Refund and get dlcs separately. Saves won't be compatible.

Thanks guys! The servers are still getting hit pretty hard but they're hanging in there. I think the latest improvements most people have now in version 8.2.1 are helping to keep the load under control quite a bit.

it's janky mc clunky town but it's also really enjoyable despite all of that in how it's woven base management, turn based combat, open world rpg and loot game together, even if everything's really rough around the edges

the gameplay loop in this game is very very good, think of a more rpg less strategy version of xcom

So far got Spelunky and Darkest Dungeon wich i've been meaning to buy since forever, Tales from the Borderlands due to massive GAF hype, not a bad haul.

Pillars is good at everything but doesn't really excel at anything.

Divinity: OS is superb at combat and interactivity, less so at writing.

Probably gonna pick up Undertail and UndeRail.

Good choice. Underrail is one of my favourite games to come out this year. Been so long in development but it has delivered big time.
