Underrail, Wasteland 2, or Hard West? All 3 seem very similar but really only have time for one.
Hard West is pretty much XCOM meets steampunk western, but it also has some bugs AFAIK.

Wasteland is a medium-budget pretty well rounded cRPG, which Underrail is lower budget and focuses more heavily on the mechanics. Both are good if you like cRPGs.

Some discounts just don't make sense, like Stalker, I bought it during a sale for 5 euros and that was like 6-7 years ago, it's been 2,5 euros several times and now it's 9 euros.O_o

Pillars of Eternity White March Season Pass still not getting discounted anywhere.

Oh well, time to dive in I guess.

Part II of the expansion should be out next month, so there's little likelyhood of a sale coming before the game is "complete." Definitely worth jumping into, in my opinion.

+1 to this

it's janky mc clunky town but it's also really enjoyable despite all of that in how it's woven base management, turn based combat, open world rpg and loot game together, even if everything's really rough around the edges

the gameplay loop in this game is very very good, think of a more rpg less strategy version of xcom

The Reanimated Update has introduced some significant improvements to the overall package. It's a great time to pick it up.

Not so impressed, hopefully other sites will have games cheaper than the Steam sale, similar to prior winter sales. What happened to Underrail - the dev said the discount was a price mistake and should have been 10%. I'll wait until it goes cheaper than 7% since I have so many games in my back log to play. I was also hoping for a better discount on TitS 2, since I haven't finished the first one I'm in no rush to purchase it for a small discount. Dunno if I'm getting anything from my wish list as the discounts seem nearly identical to the Fall sale.

BUY KOTOR 1 and 2

I've played them and I love them but I'll buy them again. When I first played them (last year) I did so via Xbox disc inside a 360. The glitches were really, really bad. I'm looking forward to experiencing them properly.

How is Empire at War?

Also, this sale lasts through January 4th? Whoa.

Stalker is like wine, getting better and more expensive with age

sorry

so many discounts make no sense, so many 40-50%, so little even 66% let alone 70+, and to think we thought it will be 66% the sale. We were very naive.

Pillars of Eternity or Divinity:OS? Decisions decisions... :(

So far got Spelunky and Darkest Dungeon wich i've been meaning to buy since forever, Tales from the Borderlands due to massive GAF hype, not a bad haul.
tales from the boredlands is fantastic, as is spelunky

eternity or divinity is a hard choice and tbh i'd say you have to eventually buy both if you're a fan of the genre.

it's really hard cos i think eternity is the better, more rounded game but divinity has some unmatched moments of brilliance and it fucking lets you move boxes aroudn

when has a wrpg ever done that, that's awesome

you might do well to buy divinity for cheap right now and wait with eternity even tho i have an easier time recommending eternity, but either way you choose you won't be wrong

Pillars of Eternity White March Season Pass still not getting discounted anywhere.

yeah, it's been rough

Man this sale sucks. No meta game, no dailies, no flash sales. Just like the last sale, check wishlist once and be done with it. Lame.

Also where did the upgrade from Dark Souls 2 to SOTFS go? It's not on either store pages anymore..

Yeah, I figured. Sometimes [edit] devs in general will drop it 10% for preorders and again for sales and stuff.

I put about 5 hours in and really like it, so I'm backlogging it for the time being until part II comes out b/c I hear the expansions take place before the end.

Yeah this has been the case for a few sales now and for many games. Lack of daily and flash sales also contributes to a higher average sale price.

It's on the Dark Souls II product page. Scroll down, it should be 60% off. The upgrade is actually cheaper now than the complete game, thanks Namco.

So there's really no harm in buying now? No deals to look forward to? bleh. But I guess I'll go through my wishlist and pick up some stuff

So, Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition and Dark Souls II Scholar of the First Sin both got good discounts and I was thinking if I should get both right now. I've never played a Souls game before, I've only seen friends playing them and I thought they were interesting, but never came around buying it.

Now I've finally decided to give it a try, but I don't know if I should get Dark Souls II right away or just try the first on and then, if I like it, try the next one. Granted, if that happens I would have to wait til winter (south america) for Dark Souls II to get a new discount.

I'm a little short on the money side (only have around $20) and was looking forward to getting other things, like Skyrim: Dragonborn and Aviary Attorney, maybe Witcher 1 and 2 as well, since that is another franchise I was hoping to get into. What would you guys suggest?

Dark Souls 1 most definitely.

You probably got it during a daily/flash sale.

That's the biggest downside to the new Steam sales: publishers aren't going to give the same kinds of deep discounts for two weeks that they used to give for a day or a few hours.

This is why none of the big releases from last holiday are 75% off a full year later.

where did the upgrade from Dark Souls 2 to SOTFS go? It's not on either store pages anymore.

on the DS2 SotFS page for me
Buy Upgrade to DARK SOULS II: Scholar of the First Sin
Buy this if you own Dark Souls II on Steam for a special upgrade price.
HOLIDAY SALE! Offer ends 4 January
-60%£19.99
£7.99

Somehow my quote died, nvm

Ubisoft had some deals go up later but you're 99.9% safe. Also refunds exist in case something happens.

No dailies really kill the sale.

I guess the cards will make me check steam everyday but it's not like there will be new sales. So what you see is what you get. Sucks.

Not really seeing anything discounted to the point where I regret having no money for the winter sale.

Guess that's a good thing.

Also some of these sale discounts make are weird. Example, Borderlands stuff was cheaper when it was a regular weekly (or was it weekend) sale a couple months back.

Thanks to no dailies I got everything I wanted today, didn't get too much games fortunately.
Decided to buy the TF2 pass because I liked the previous campaign.

i remember reading the patchnotes for this and while important some things require really massive work to get to a decent state

i think the game's still a blast to play for any fan of wrpgs, would love a doublebear-obsidian team up to make a sequel

a spiritual sequel would be even better, i think we're all tired of zombies and i could see these mechanics applied into a different setting to much success

So you guys should totally pick up Dead State: Reanimated. It's currently 70% off. A great RPG/Survival game brought to you by Brian Mitsoda who is best known for his design work on Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines.

STOP I CAN ONLY BUY SU MANY GAMES
