This is it guys. That's the trick.
NO ONE saw Darth Vader to be Luke fathers.
NOW everyone's searching Rey's parents...but it's the same trick: SHE'S the parent :D

J.J. ABRAMS recently read the script for Episode VIII of Star Wars. And he had a reaction to it that his lifelong friend, “The Force Awakens” actor Greg Grunberg, had not ever heard from the director over their decades together in the industry.

“He read it and said something he never, ever says,” Grunberg, who plays pilot Snap Wexley in the new film, tells The Post’s Comic Riffs. “He said: ‘It’s so good, I wish I were making it.’

“He may have said something one time on ‘Lost,’ with Damon [Lindelof, the co-creator],” continues Grunberg, whose credits on Abrams series include “Lost” and “Felicity,” “but I never hear him express regret like that.”

I hope the script is really good :D

The OST was definitely one of the weakest points of TFA, unfortunately. The only memorable moments in that department were those that used recycled themes.

Here's hoping the soundtrack for the next two installments will be better.

Wtf... my friend says that this lightsaber battle was the worst... I I I just can't react. And he compared it to the PT duels... No I don't have this friend now.

Ya, I had an argument about this with my daughter's boyfriend. He liked the twirly spinny battles of the PT, I like the more tense and weighty battles of the OT.

But he's still allowed in the house.

I don't want anymore superweapons! I want a resurgence of the sith in large numbers. Nothing you can take down with an xwing. Didn't mind star killer base but it definitely was the weakest part of the film

I don't understand why the Starkiller even needs to fire. Doesn't destroying the sun destroy the entire solar system? Why not just go to the solar system you want and drain the sun? Firing kills two solar systems: the one you are aiming for and a completely random one. Seems excessive.

The Republic would destroy it. The whole point was that it was hidden in the unknown regions so that it could fire on the capital planetary system and destroy the Republic's fleet.

Is there a deal reason he can't come back and direct 9?

No waaaaay. Rey's Theme, Jedi Steps, March of the Resistance, Torn Apart, Kylo Ren Arrives, The Abduction...I'd say there's a lot of memorable tracks.

There's just not that much room for a lot of them to breathe during the film.

Admittedly it doesn't match the iconic themes from the OT but it's still a blimmin' great soundtrack in my opinion.

He obviously knows what's up. Women like guys who dig the PT.

Whats up with that storm trooper, Phasma or whatever. I thought there would be a lot more to her character. Hopefully she's the real deal in 8 or 9

The shadow of the star destroyer against the planet looks like a hand giving the finger.

Oh lol. I was actually sort of disappointed by that opening shot. I liked to scene that followed it. But All we saw as the silhouette of a Star Destroyer, and 3 little blurs of ships fly out of it. I wish we got something a little more striking.

I'll take him a second time over Trevorrow!

Yup or JJ again. At least Johnson is writing IX as well.

It could move. It can stay hidden and then move to the sun when it wants to strike. I don't think distance is any concern seeing as the resistance got to it in 5 minutes when it was on the other side of the galaxy.

3 so far.

This last one was just pure fan pandering.

This was a very weak point imo, besides the cool lights, they could have at least give this Death Star a plot involving two movies. if they truly wanted that thing,

I mean, im not sure how they could even managed to make a DS that outshines the Empire in 30 years, isnt the First Order supposed to be a weaker version of the Empire?
How can they be that powerful with weaker Vader and a lesser army? is this Snoke truly that smart so it doesnt matter?

A lot of questions

People feel that it's stupid that Rey beat Kyle because "Kylo has had so much more training than Rey." RedLetterMedia brings up a good point about that.

Jedi training - as communicated in the original trilogy - is not about how long you spend in a classroom environment with a teacher, "learning about the force." In the OT, Luke trains with Yoda, sure, but Yoda makes a point that Luke's REAL training is how he composes himself while facing Vader. In the end, it's moments like that which are his training.

Rey had all the training she needed in this movie. Finding her inner bravery and spirit during her interrogation meant more than any X amount of hours spent in a Jedi academy. She already composed herself in the fight better than Kylo did. That's why she won. Simple as that.
is this some sort of joke? Going by the same logic, Yoda mentioned Luke was too old to get Jedi training. No amount of rationalization will explain the stupidity of watching Skywalker-trained Kylo Ren being beaten by someone who was wielding a lightsaber for the first time.*

*Unless they pull a Revan-esque storyline for Rey in the subsequent episodes, discovering she actually had undergone rigorous training with Luke but after some freak incident he had to wipe her memory clean for her own safety or something.

My suspension of disbelief is pretty high, but still I wonder if that shit actually moves.

Thank goodness. Didn't know that detail.

Toa Tak that explain ow she can use the Force, why the lightsaber choose her

i don't know how but maybe she will travel through time at the end of 9 with C3P0 :p

I read that JJ Abrams was a big fan of KOTOR sooooooo. But I don't know if he had any hand in the script.

edit: wouldn't that not-deathstar run out of suns? but I guess they would have destroyed all their opponents by then?

How does a planet stay hidden and remain hidden while it moves from the Unknown Region to the Core Worlds and suck up their sun while sustaining an attack from the full Republic fleet?

The only confidence I have in him comes from Spielberg apparently giving him his blessings as a successor to that style of filming.

But their is nothing he has really tangibly done that I'm fond of.

Fair, but I don't think they'd have hired him for this if Kathleen weren't 100% confident. And his action direction was awesome in Jurassic. That last 20 minutes or so of action was very well done, especially the big raptor attack. So I'm not worried about his capabilities at action.
