The actual deals are in quite a few cases much better than I expected (e.g. PoE 60% off, which I'll continue to post)
I wish Obsidian would discount White March as well.

So, what's the general consensus then, is this a good steam sale? This is actually my first one so I have nothing to reference it to.
I think I might buy Undertale. I don't know if it'll get much cheaper than £5.50 considering how popular it is.
Still haven't really had a proper look at the sales other than going through the queue (which didn't give me any steam trading cards!).
I guess it's not a bad sale, even if most of my wish list isn't discounted a lot, but it's not an interesting or fun sale. Steam Sales were so loved because they were events where everyone came together every 8/12/24 hours in excitement over the new deals. It's just not the same. I personally will spend much much less. In past sales I easily spent 100, in the autumn sale I spent nothing and I'm already done after spending 8 on this one.So, what's the general consensus then, is this a good steam sale? We had a pre-christmas local gaming event at work. Look, it's 4 Steam controllers!
(and various other stuff)
is the expansion on sale too ?
So does this include Horizons?
Bought Star Wars collection just for force unleashed 1 + 2. They're really bad, so tried to refund the purchase. Steam wants to remove kotor 1 and 2 from my library as well, which I had bought separately at full price when they were released on Steam :|
Well, we have a whole thread about it.Is the steam controller any good? Looks awfully inconvenient.
No One is buying Vampire: the Masquerade: Bloodlines and Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of Earth...
Gaf, I Am Disappointed !
I make a list of games I'm really interested in every time there's a sale, and then 90% of my purchases end up being stuff I stumble across and buy randomly.
Where I wouldn't use it are D-pad focused 2D games, but I have an arcade stick for those. I've never been a believer in the "1 input device for every job" philosophy![]()
I think it greatly depends on how attached you were to dailies/flash deals.
I find it somewhat relaxing to not feel compelled to check Steam every 8 hours.
The actual deals are in quite a few cases much better than I expected (e.g. PoE 60% off, which I'll continue to post) and there are lots of games at the cheapest price they've ever been, so I don't think anyone can make a conclusive argument that it's objecively a bad sale.
I think those are one genre where the input device really doesn't matter much. I use a DS3 for those purely out of habit.More importantly, how well does it work for D-pad focused 2D RPGs?
DS4 is really great for Final Fantasies/Dragon Quests, can't imagine using an arcade stick for playing these.![]()
So...
How's Dungeon of the Endless?
And which Ys game should I start with? Ys Origins?

I'm looking for a simple, old fashioned dungeon crawler RPG. Preferably top down.
What's good, GAF?
Ys Origin is amazing (the best in the franchise IMHO), but it's pretty different from all the other Ys.And which Ys game should I start with? Ys Origins?

Sorry I dont have a top down one but I heard Legend of Grimrock I and II is great. Pretty cheap now.

Well then, that just makes it all the more confusing.
I might just end up getting both even though I really shouldn't.

That said, I'm surprised to see it at over $5 this many years out. Guess it's an updated version or something.
Is Fairy Fencer F any good? I'm in the mood of playing some silly JRPG.
