Yay stick of truth dropped to only $7.50. It wasn't on sale yesterday but it is today. Will the sale price still run through the fourth or should i buy now?

Thinking about grabbing the X-Wing series bundle. But I have heard conflicting things about the games on Steam vs GOG.com and what control options are best. I have never played any of these games before.

I do not own a flight stick but am willing to buy a cheap one if that's the best way to play as I have heard so many good things about these games. Am I safe with the Steam versions or should I pay more for the GOG versions?
At least one of the games is missing its definitive version on Steam so I bought them from GOG. You can play these games with a controller. There's a thread on Gaf with more information.

This has been on my steam inventory for a while and I haven't activated it, so whatever, I'm giving it back to you guys

By the way, that giveaway puzzle gives me steamgifts forum flashbacks

Is there any way to look at my wishlist on the IOS app? Trying to see which of those are on sale.

It just sends your random notifications when there's an item on sale.
If you want to access it without that you can go Library > wishlist, but that shit crashes my iPhone 4, no joke. So yeah, only look it up if you have few games and/or a new model.

Any recommendations for a turn-based or similar combat system RPG in a interesting setting (preferably non-medieval fantasy) for under 10€/$?

Shadowrun : Dragonfall seems like a good candidate, but I spent around 2 hours on Returns and the game really didn't grab me...

Which reminds me it sucks, that the app tells me when an item is on sale, yet don't tell me which one duh.

They fixed that. Reinstall Dark Souls: Prepare to Die edition, sign into GfWL if you want to keep your saves... (or did they remove that option after the migration early Feb?) and play completely free of GfWL.

Install DSFix/GeDoSaTo (if GeDoSaTo merged it) as well.
Guess I'll jump back in then.

Dragonfall fixes
almost

Have you tried Valkyria Chronicles?

I just picked up southpark stick of truth which meets those requirements. Also Child of Light is only 3.75 on amazon.

dragonfall improves quite a lot in mechanics, tho the setting is the same

dead state i love quite a lot tho it's really janky

Dragonball xenoverse any good if I'm just going to be playing single player?

Absolutely. If you like Dragonball at all, go for it without hesitation.

The singleplayer campaign is a lot of fun, and there's a lot to do beyond that, especially once you unlock more character slots.

The multiplayer stuff is mostly co-op vs. AI, so bots will fill in on your side if there is no one. It can make the later fights really difficult, but that's real end-game stuff that you won't have to worry about for many hours.

Does it improve as it goes on? I did two episodes and wasn't really feeling it...

I suppose I should ask what you mean by 'improve', since I loved the game from the getgo, but can see how it wouldn't be for everyone. Were you disappointed in something in particular? I feel like if you haven't attached to the characters yet, you won't find too much to enjoy later on. But the drama does take a few dark turns, assuming you've invested yourself enough to care about x or y happening.

I'm definitely getting:

Sunless Sea
Undertale
Call of Cthulhu

Either GALAK-Z or Darkest Dungeon, depending on if my girlfriend is interested in watching Darkest Dungeon.

Either Dungeon of the Endless or Starship Rubicon, depending on if you gaf buds have an opinion between them?

Actually, I played the first hour of the game last week and while the combat system seemed cool, the writing was way too anime. I'll likely try it again next month, but I'm not really feeling it right now.

Thank you, I'll take a look at these suggestions.

Dungeon of the Endless is surprisingly well constructed and addictive. The turn-based aspect really loans itself to plenty of long sessions where you're tempted to open just "one more door", until everything goes to hell and destroys even your best laid out murderous machinations. There are quite a few meta-shifting game modes to keep your mind occupied as well, which will require coming up with completely new tactics. Be sure to grab a few friends and try the multiplayer too! The netcode can get a little buggy sometimes, but they really spent a good chunk of post-launch dev time polishing up the multiplayer to be almost the star of the show.

Dungeon of the Endless is a lot of fun once you figure out how it plays. It's a weird game.

Never heard of Starship Rubicon.

Sunless Sea, though? Good taste. That's an amazing game, provided you're willing to embrace the zee.

I picked up Way of the Samurai 4 and its permanent DLC (not the temporary scrolls or equipment stuff) and Superstar Dance Club (Console Classic).

Halfway is an X-COMish strategy RPG that you can't really go wrong with for the price that it's at. Had some issues initially, but they've done a great job getting things patched up to shape.

There's very little gameplay (one or two puzzles in each of the first two episodes) and it's not really obvious how your choices will end up impacting the future, making them feel somewhat arbitrary.

The characters are not really my favorites, but they are fine. I just felt like the plot was a bit telegraphed and plodding. Part of this might be because super-power origin stories have been done to death, I am sure, and part of it might be because the teen girl protagonist, while novel, felt a bit forced.

This is probably already known, but if you are into any sort of competitive MP experience, Speedrunners is a must-buy. One of my favorite MP games in a long time.
