Hah, that fits surprisingly well.

Is it really confirmed Rey yells "Luke" when the ship flies away? Didn't catch that, couldn't make out what she was saying.

Why do these people who make these fan made posters put in so much work but ALWAYS put the Disney logo on them when everyone who isn't blind knows Walt Disney Pictures has nothing to do with these films?

Got Lucas' name on there too.

There's also at least one misspelling.

It's because they're so excited at looking at it before they hit post, and so jazzed at all the shares they know they're going to get, that they never actually do the quality control check. They START it, but they start daydream tripping on how awesome their work is that they forget what they were doing.

I was actually pleasantly shocked that they avoided all the "omg wish upon a star/bad robot/20th century fox fanfare/what will it be????" by just going straight to the lucasfilm logo. a part of me would've died (and JJ knows it) if the bad robot logo showed up beforehand

It's been floated. People are saying the math makes it difficult though, which I can see.

Hmm. I am going to throw a random number out there and say the character in Rogue One is 30 (Jones is 32). She would age another three years and six months (Empire to Jedi?) during the OT trilogy plus the year before ANH. That would make her 34 or 35. Then she would age another eleven years before having Rey (She is 19 in TFA). She would be about 45 or 46 years old.

Yeah, I don't think it's happening at all.

I'm just disappointed Felicity probably won't wear the traditional Rebel get-up, given that cast shot and that this is presumably a spy film more than anything else.

The fan art makes quite a case for her looking pretty good in it.

dec 2016: rogue one
may 2017: episode VIII
dec 2018: Han Solo spin off
may 2019: FUCKING episode IX
dec 2020: i don't know but there is an other movie

Strongly rumored to have been a Boba Fett movie.

Kinda hoping that once Trank was off the project, they rethought it and are looking at maybe doing a Kenobi spinoff set between III and IV.

one day the villains will learn to make multiple power units for their base's shield through out the galaxy all heavily guarded with a plan b if everything falls apart.

I do get the lightspeed penetrating through though since the thing absorbs stars

I'm glad people are starting to agree with my Rogue One-is-about-Rey's-mother theory. If I am wrong now, we will be wrong together.

You are wrong. I will quote this post a year from now to show you how wrong you are :D

Well after the final battle between Rey and Kylo i think i will want to stop star wars... a boba fett movie ? Lol

I just think that episode 8 and 9 won't have time to explain past for each characters.
J.J.A like puzzles. So Rogue One giving answers to "new trilogy" mysteries , i hope yes!

Man, I take a nap and wake up to find my post has been made into a topic in the meantime. Feeling pretty good about myself right now if it's good enough to get a topic without my even asking.

It was a great post. I honestly thank and appreciate you for it.

Well that post was better, more comprehensive and had more effort in it than 99.9% of (not news related) threads in these parts so i can see why evilore took that liberty.

Maybe she's General Hux's mom.

Imagine that. The woman who helped steal the Death Star plans is the mom of the dude who is in command of another fucking Death Star.

That's poetry.

It was well deserved. Hopefully also linked in the OP by whoever makes the next spoiler thread on top of all the other answers to FAQs we get through here on repeat.

What if Rey's mother is in Rogue One?

Going to end in tears with gloves that don't fit.

Rogue One might be quite cool, all we know is they stole the plans so even Vader could make an appearance but he would look the fool for not stopping it if he is anything more than scenery. Interesting to see if they manage to make it exciting because they do get the plans obviously.

A single poster here has made that claim. Several posters have disagree and offered "No! Come Back! No!" as their experience.

Definitely not

Ok, thought it didn't make sense.

Still think it was Kylo/first order who dropped her there. I'm guessing if we knew more about the ship that is seen leaving we could get a clue. It looks fairly sizeable.

The biggest clue to me that she was dropped by someone "evil" is we hear the junk dealer tell her to shut up, it essentially confirms she was left in a rather bad person's hands.

I still think the vision shows Rey was saved by Kylo and his knights from being killed by that guy with the hat when she was like a year old or two. She started seeing whoever was taking care of her as her family, they hoped she would show some force potential, but alas had none, so they dumped her.
