You can see the owners steam real username, email address, country, last 2 digit from the credit card and the phone number, wow.

Yup, even in the Steam client, I can see other people's account info.

I have two-factor authentication protecting my account, but I can only assume the email address associated with it is now out in the wild.

Don't worry to much, doubt anyone can do anything dramatic.
It switches around with every click, and actually going to setting seems impossible.

Quite the inconvenience though, will be removing my CC.
Luckily it's prepaid.

So much panicking, meanwhile I just sit here and wait. Too lazy to change all my stuff without even knowing if it'll matter.

You can never be careful enough, but it's your account after all, just don't cry when someone did something to it then.

Totally agreed. Just waiting for any confirmation if it's even possible to permanently do shit to other people's account, or if its "just" a giant display bug or something. If anyone can potentially end up in my account, it wouldn't matter if I change a password anyway, since he didn't need it in the first place. If this is really as fucked up as people fear it might be, Valve is in for some serious trouble I'd imagine.

I literally just added phone security to my Steam account a week or so ago. I hope they fix whatever is happening soon - although I have no idea what I should do after.

email+phone number is really a powerfull combination, and that's not even half the info you get...

This keeps up and people will just not celebrate Christmas anymore, ship the present, skip out on the family drama and go back to working, especially in fields that get compromised during downtime. This may be a high time for cyber security over-time

I'm think that it's best not to change own settings incase the phone app gets messed up and such, since that probably is a layer of security that might be need if shit gets really messed up.

it's weird. like... I'm logged into my steam account, when I go to Activity, etc. it's all my shit. but when I click on my username at the top right and hit Account Details I'm in someone else's account. odd.
