guys, are you all OK? Any steamgafer fell victim to that security breach?
I hope not, but I had to ask

I like how valve just swept yesterday's events under the rug.

Yeah, that statement of theirs was probably worst one I've ever seen, they really don't care about our trust one single bit and by not carring they can't be trusted with personal info, not that anybody on interwebs can, but even less than usual, I mean.

I think "A Vampyr story" might have been removed from the stor. Was deciding whether to buy it and the discount and price disappeared from my wish list and the store page is gone... :(

i haven't read about it

what is it about

should i change my password

check this, changing a password can't save you from this, nothing can, no steamguard, or phone authentication.
It's so bad, I hardly can believe something like this has happened.

edited: I even less could believe valve's response to this.

so there's nothing we can do?

i've been idling and playing bioshock and falling asleep so I missed it when this happened lol

I posted this in the other thread, but my thoughts on Resident Evil 0. If you want an opinion on RE0, here's mine:

It's not bad, just not a top-tier RE like the games it released next to (remember Zero released in-between REmake and RE4 .) Many were hard on it since it didn't live up to REmake expectations.

But it's not a bad game, and this 'remaster' actually has a surprising amount of new content that wasn't in Zero previously.

The things Zero does best is mostly related to its scenery and puzzles. The game is gorgeous, even compared to REmake. The scenery is more subtley animated and the art direction is ace. Capcom have gone through leaps it seems to realize the game without REmake Remaster's blurry scenes rearing their head, so it seems to be a consistant quality in Zero's case, and it looks great legitimately even all of these years later. I also personally feel Zero has the best puzzles in the RE series. They're a good level of difficulty, usually fun, and there's a bit more of them than usual. Maybe I just feel like this, but I thought Zero had good puzzles and a marigin above other entries in the series.

In the middle-ground comes some other elements. The music in the title is good, but not the series best. This isn't even close to as scary as REmake, but it does have its moments. Design and pacing wise it's like a mix of RE3 meets RE1; the game has smaller locations you go between and a larger number of locations (game has five main locations) but you backtrack, unlock doors, and stay in a central area for a while more like RE1. The partner system where you control two characters is not bad, just takes some getting used too. Story is a bit odd, it's not bad, but a bit weird. Many do end up liking Rebecca and Billy though, so that's good. The game also has some kind of strange references to RE2 despite being the RE1 prequel, some of which geographically makes little to no sense.

In the game, there's no item boxes, you can drop items on the floor wherever you want. This has a few nice little benefits, but in a few instances can be quite annoying as the game makes you go get this item you haven't needed for hours you laid down somewhere and you have to go back and get it. The monster selection is a bit dull compared to other entries; you still got zombies and Hunters, but most of the enemies end up being oversized animals more than anything.

It's not bad, just it doesn't have some really big hook that the other RE's have, like the atmosphere and path-planning strategy that REmake has, or the twisted monsters and A/B scenario character hook that RE2 has, or the big stalker and city going to hell chaos RE3 has. So it ends up feeling more... Quaint(?) than other RE's. But I actually liked the setting (the train is uniqie, but I actually also liked the later
torture chambers and church laboratory
in the game. Again, I really liked Zero's puzzles, and the aesthetics of the game are ace.

I also am curious of what the changes in the new Wesker mode will be, there's a lot more costumes now, and some other changes have been hinted, plus I've always liked the Leech Hunter minigame, so see how it all goes.

Overall if you like the older RE games, it's good, not the best, but I think worth playing. It actually might be a decent jumping into point for the series too somce the quaintness may help lend it to a good first entry title, maybe. There's a few minor 'spoilers' for later entries in the series, but they don't go beyond things everyonw by now already knows. Umbrella is evil and Wesker worked for them, is it really.

Yeah, I'm gonna pick up Dragon's Dogma with the 25% voucher. Probably Resident Evil Zero HD with the pre-order bonuses as well. And why not D4 on Humble Bundle, now that I get Lumino City, The Next Penelope and Plug & Play with the buy anyway. Hopefully I can top it off with Pillars of Eternity on FunStock, and that'll probably be it for me.

If you don't mind horror tones, I'd recommend The Last Door. Has two games (seasons, since episodic series), with the last episode of season 2 close to releasing (which is also the final episode of the whole series). Season 1 is $1.99 and Season 2 is $3.99, currently.

Jazzpunk is sort of an absurd gem of a PnC game, I really liked it for what it's worth. Short though.

Oh, and Anniversary Edition of Gabriel Knight is 75% off, the original was one of my favourites. I don't think Phoenix Studios is all that great, but don't think they can go too wrong with the source material... right?

Gemini Rue is not too shabby either, though the VA can be a tad odd at times. If you're a fan of cyberpunk/dystopian future settings, you should enjoy it. Wadjet Eye's other games are pretty good too.

Oh yes, seconding The Last Door too! Can't believe I forgot about it cos' it is really good. I would say get that and Jazzpunk for two entirely different experiences, lol.

Thanks for alerting me to the fact that S2 is out on Steam!

Legend of Dark Witch plays similar to MEgaman as well.

The only thing i've bought so far (And probably will stay that way, considering i have to buy Dragon's Dogma next month) is Pillars of Eternity. But the recent Isaac Rebirth itch needs to be scratched, so i've yet to get far in it.

Why didn't anyone tell me about Pillars of Eternity? It's brilliant. I never thought I'd get to play a new RPG in this style ever again.
