I'm not defending it, but that's standard Valve.

I know. However your argument yesterday "What day is it?" was pretty bad.

The fact that this is standard by Valve is something I hope some consumer bureau in EU land kicks Valves ass on.

The seriously gotta restructure if they're structure is what partly cased the cache stuff, it took long time to do something (not even turning off servers) and no apology or anything.

Well I'm off to bed, before leaving though I leave you with a message

Now this other GFWL recommendation since it's on sale is actually easy to make, since GFWL is really the only negative thing I have to say on it as a co-op game.

Lost Planet 2 - $4.99

If you can get three other people to play Lost Planet 2 with you, I say do not hesitate on it. Lost Planet 2 is an amazing co-op campaign game, I'd even argue one of the best.

Whole game is 4-player co-op, and it captures something RE5 captured but without the pre-tense of being a horror game or not being RE. Mechanically it works differently (your characters can jump and grapple hook around as an example), but it captures the sort of arcade shooting fun working with friends against creative and fun monsters that RE5 provided as a co-op experience, matched with interesting design and variety of tasks. I make this comparison since the game runs on RE5's engine, is a Capcom game, and has a few things in-common (that don't include Wesker being playable in both of them).

It's a game where you can grapple structures, fight giant monsters of large varieties, there's a part where you go underwater and swim with giant sea beasts, another section where you're in space and have anti-gravity fun. You get mechas, and can combine mechas with your friends. Larger than life bosses you come together as a team to defeat. Lots of unlockable cosmetics and weapon parts, mixed with everything from hover boards to helicopters to scorpion mechas to drive. You fight in old-west style shoot-outs, ride a speeding train as a giant worm eats departments of it, escape a prison with giant squid monsters coming out of grates.... It's hard to articulate what makes it fun, but it is quite fun with friends.

It doesn't have the replayability of many more open-ended co-op games, but if you want a 4-player co-op game with a campaign, light story, bosses, stages, chapters to progress through, I would classify Lost Planet 2 as one of the best. I'd recommend it if a sci-fi action game with variety, mechas, giant monsters, and some well-done pacing and design that gets better and better as it goes along sounds up your alley.

Here's a few screens:

Why would that statement be incorrect? Is your assertion that Valve is running a full staff on Christmas Day? They are going to be able to respond as quickly as any normal work day where the entirety of the staff is present?

The fact of the matter is, Valve wouldn't have the full staff available to them on a day like yesterday and would not be able to respond to an issue at full capacity.

For context, people were asking why Valve hadn't fixed the issue literally minutes after it happened. In a bad situation like that yesterday, I guess it's difficult to get people to think big picture, but that was the reasoning behind the question.

Game was great online. Working together during the train level was so good once it clicked for everyone.

How much of Rogue is ship stuff vs normal AC stuff? Same balance as AC4?
It's Black Flag 2 (or 1.5). It's much shorter than Black Flag but it's mostly more of the same ship-wise. There are a few improvements from Black Flag but nothing too huge. If you enjoyed Black Flag you'll like Rogue at worse.

They stopped working on the game and released it as if it was complete. Then they started work on a different game (Reign of Kings) and it seems that they did the same thing.

Wow! That's incredibly shitty of them. I was afraid that might happen with the Space Engineers dev when they announced their new game when SE was still in early access. They seem to be still fully working on SE though.

I'd probably go the other way and say Lost Planet 2 is my least favourite LP game and not a particularly fun coop experience either. Really didn't enjoy it. I love LP1 and LP3. I never want to go near LP2 again.

However I do think it's a shame it's going to be lost when GFWL closes down eventually, really wish Capcom would migrate it over to steamworks at least for its fans.

I'd say it's balanced a bit more toward non-ship stuff than Black Flag was. Still fairly heavy on it but doesn't feel as essential. One of the big ship areas is in a small river area so you won't be encountering many ships to fight when sailing there.

It'd be hilarious if both SFxT and LP2 were Capcom's next planned 're-releases' because they decided to remove GFWL.

I just dont have a clue why they dont employ 1-2 people as their spokesperson in case such thing happen. They are a billion dollar company, but it seems their company structure is like a small startup.

It is evident by how they develop things like Greenlight, Steam Trading cards, Steam Music etc.

Wait a FUCKING SECOND.

I am still contemplating refunding Arkham Knight but when I go through the steps it shows that all other Batman games would get removed too even though I bought them all separately through the years. This obviously is because of the oh so very generous gift from WB. Fuck. You.

Just contact support about that.

Wow, do you think on some level that was an intentional oversight on WB's part? Truly malicious if so.

Yeah if that happens (as I'm suspecting will happen when my GMG refund comes through) just contact Steam support. They should have a record in your account of what games you had before AK anyway.

So, contrary to what was announced, prices are changing during the course of the sale.

At the start, Assassins Creed IV cost over £9.99 with discount, so I went and bought a Uplay key for £5 elsewhere, but now it's on sale on Steam for £3.99.
Rogue wasn't even on sale at the beginning, but now it has 60% off.

So either new things are being added as the sale progresses, or there are some kind of hidden flash sales going on.

Is there a PC equivalent to Monster Hunter? Those Lost Planet screens reminded me of it for some reason.

Tecmo just released Toukiden, and Namco just announced God Eater 1/2.

There is also a PC Monster Hunter game made by Tencent (?) that is exclusive to China, and I suppose PSO2 is similar enough to Monster Hunter's style, but is exclusive to Japan currently.

Ubi being Ubi.

Last sale they changed the prices of some of their games for one or two days.

Yea Ubisoft did the same thing during the Autumn sale. It's pretty dumb to do this without announcing it.

I recall Ubi doing the same in the Autumn sale.

No more games get added in later days just like in Autumn sale.
however the Ubi games will likely be discounted for a set period of time and may not end on 4 Jan like other discounts.
EDIT: Yup AC Rogue discount for example ends on 29 Dec.

Call me when Ubi puts Watchdoge Complete up for sale. Why did they remove the Deluxe by the way, at least from the Italian front.

I'll allow this recommendation. Despite GfWL.

Is the store fixed yet? I need to sale my dupes and buy the Ass Creeds.

Volvo plz.

You can't lose anything except whats in the package you refund. So if you have the other games bought separately you will keep them. Test it with the game removal thingy if you want to be sure.

Wow, here in Europe AC Rogue costs 11.99€ and Unity 15.99€, a total of 27.98€ and the fucking bundle is 34.99€. Nice try Ubilol!

Goddamnit Ubi! I could've saved the fiver since I could've bought with my wallet credit from Steam.

Skipping Assassins Creed 3 though and jumping to IV, just read up on the plot for 3. For some reason 3 just didn't click with me, more or less the same for the first one. Absolutely loved 2, Brotherhood and Revelations though.
Also got a free key for Syndicate with a laptop, so just missing Rogue and Unity. I could buy them both now for £22, but I suspect IV will take me a while to get through with my other backlog, so by the time I get to them they could be even cheaper, either on Steam or Uplay.

Security wise? Or was the store down for you?

I just bought Afterbirth a few seconds ago.

And my card purchases just went through. Time to buy Assassin's Creed Rouge and Unity separately since the bundle price isn't fixed I guess. Huzzah.
