Well, when they released the game, GFWL wasn't a huge issue. In hindsight it obviously is.

I was talking more about the performance/controls/graphical options. It was one of the first games to make good use of DX11, including tesselation, all exclusively for the PC version!

That's an impressive array of features.

Lost Planet 2 isn't available in my region :(
Anyone know where I can find it for $5 outside of Steam?

GFWL strikes again.

Is Lost Planet 2 still available on steam? i remember enjoying the demo but i don't know why it got bad reception.

Capcom stopped discounting their titles that had GFWL for a period of time, but they recently changed policy and are discounting those titles now.

I wonder if they are gauging interest for their next round of GFWL removal. Of those titles that are left, I'd imagine Lost Planet 2 is at the top of the list.

Finished Shantae: Risky's Revenge. Wow. I bought that game out of boredom and a bit of curiosity but ended up loving (almost) every minute of it. I only wish the game itself was a bit longer but oh well, I guess if I want more of Shantae I could simply get the sequel (which I may end up doing).

Wait, the game still on GFWL? I thought it was one of the games that removed it. I'm on Win 10 and not sure if GFWL is compatible.

Is Transistor any good?

Loving the art style..

I didn't care for it. I thought Bastion was alright, but this game unfortunately managed to feel very repetitive even in the 4h it took for me to beat it. The combat system is very interesting, but also managed to feel very frustrating in the way it disabled abilitities as a punishment for taking damage, and while the enviroments were nice, they all look very samey.

Story and dialogue felt very pretentious, and I usually try to use that word as little as possible.

But it's a cheap price, and others seem to like it, so maybe worth taking a chance on it?

Mine said the same thing. I still bought the game and 5 minutes later my computer exploded.

Steam was hacked CONFIRMED.

Are you okay with early access?

It's a bit older, but I very much enjoyed Warhammer: Dawn of War - Retribution. It doesn't have much of the base building bit, but it's still very enjoyable. Great graphics, some fun RPG elements, and plenty of content. The Ork campaign was quite funny with a great sense of humour. :)

Other then that, Company of Heroes 2? Grey Goo (don't know much about the campaign in that though).

Regarding Capcom and G4WL, they left RE5 in a bit of a weird state after the steamworks patch.

I'm wondering why TIS-100 is not owned by everyone on Gaf ? What's wrong with you people ?
I own it. If none of your gaffriends own it, you need better friends.

Thanks, I had skimmed that part of the readme, had a hunch that would be the issue. Moved all the mod files out, went in and disabled AA, and replaced the files. Worked like a charm. Pardon my carelessness, its 7am, and I've been up and about since yesterday morning.

A perfect frame of mind to play Dark Souls then.

Already played the Dawn of War games, they're great!

I was thinking about Company of Heroes 2, but all these different DLCs confuse the hell out of me. I just want singleplayer stuff

I was just looking through my library and realised I have Shadowrun Returns. God knows where it came from (probably a bundle lol) but I was wondering if Shadowrun Dragonfall is an expansion on Shadowrun Returns or if it makes changes to the base game or if it's an entirely new game? Nothing seems clear from reading the reviews.

I have 100$ steam wallet but mostly only bought stuff elsewhere. From Steam I bought Undertale, TESO and Downwell...maybe MSGV although who knows when I will play it

It's fine, you just need to jump through some hoops.

I remember reading it had some issues on launch, they haven't been fixed?

Dragonfall is a new game and recommended to start your experience there since it is a significant improvement over the first game.

Is Transistor playable with kbm?

I played it with K/M, and it likely plays better with that control setup.

Dragonfall is separate and self contained.

I'm getting the 4-pack after trying the demo... DAMMIT! The Steam store has shat itself again and lost my cart, grrrrr... When i purchase my copy i'll send you a friend request so we can play when we're randomly online at the same time and in the mood for a game or two :)

Don't think lag will be a problem in an online boardgame but the time difference from me being in Australia may matter. Then again, we are both on GAF at the same time.

Also have Talisman... and Tabletop Simulator for online boardgame goodness but can't seem to find the time to play with anyone.

It's a standalone, new campaign, that improves on Shadowrun Returns in pretty much every way.

I have those three and live in Taiwan. =O

Have a question, probably for JaseC. How come Arma 2 and the Czech Republic DLC doesn't show as owned on the store page but it's in my library? All the other DLC shows as owned.

ARMA 2 had a North American-specific app for a while. Army of the Czech Republic should be showing as owned, though, as it's DLC for Arrowhead, which has just the one app, and the store page isn't tied to a non-existent app id.

ugh indiegalia is quite annoying, if I had known it would be this much trouble to make a couple purchases I woulda just stuck to steam and humble.

Am I the only one who has noticed that some games are shifting price or outright being removed from the sale? The two I've noticed are Total Annihilation and South Park: Stick of Truth. I'm fine with there being daily/flash sales where I know the time constraint on the sale, but the lack of transparency of "it's on sale now, but who knows how long" is kind of bullshit.

Length of sales are mentioned on game's page:

Y&eah, for some reason it won't let me purchase anything as i'm a new account so i've no idea what's going on. I'll just give it a few hours to settle down and try again. I've enough to keep me busy already.

I would say nay to Windward. It has potential, but is not there yet, and I'm not sure how much more the dev is going to update it with the new features I think it would need.

It's fun for a few hours, especially in multiplayer with friends, but starts to get repetitive to soon.
