How meaty is the AsSyndicate season pass?

But Turfster I thought you disliked Ubisoft open world games?

GAF, how is Distance? I wanted this game for a long time but I'm not sure if it's worth 10$ comsidering it's still early access..

It is one of my favorite racers. I kickstarted the project and I couldn't be happier with how it has turned out. The local versus is really fun too.

Got a question regarding Steam Link and Metal Gear Solid V: is there a reason why it streams with like a stutter? Runs at 60fps on my rig and every other game streams fine.

I'm running wired connections for both my PC and the Link.

Thanks for 2015, SteamGAF! Here's my "Christmystery" giveaway! Some hints:

All these games have been played and enjoyed by me.
Some are quite popular, so if you have a lot of games, you probably have these.
One is a point-and-click adventure.
One is a roguelike.
One is a third-person action game.
One is a first-person RPG with some strategy elements.
One is a "builder" (sandbox platformer-type.)

If you ask for other hints (but not "Is one of them 'game X?'") I just might answer you.

Enjoy, everyone!

Oh, and one other hint:

Some Guy in a Hat is still kind of a cheapskate, so all these games are currently on sale for less than five bucks. But...but they're still good, I swear. At least I think they are.

Won't let me buy the Syndicate season pass because I have the base game on Uplay only, despite going to my Uplay account either way. Any way around this? It's by far the cheapest on Steam.

You have to rebuy it on Steam if you want the DLC from Steam, unfortuantely. I learned that the hard way with Splinter Cell: Blacklist and rebuying it so I could have Steam playtime numbers.

There's not any way around it that I can think of, but the uPlay versions tend to get cheap the fastest on other sites, so I doubt you'll have to wait long for an even better deal.

Also how is Hotline Miami 2? I remember skipping it at the time because another game came out that I wanted more.

Very very good, but much harder then the first game, because some rooms, in my opinion, are poorly done (basically there are those HUGE rooms and you can't really see who is shooting you, and this means a lot of off-screen deaths).

also...

the AC Syndicate Season Pass is a little over $15 on Nuuvem

http://www.nuuvem.com/item/assassin-s-creed-syndicate-season-pass

that's a Uplay key and cheaper than Steam's sale...should be safe if you get a SA GAF member to get it for you (or use a VPN but Nuuvem is really finicky with VPN lately)

Yeup, but to be fair it is the busiest time of the year.

i know you mean well, but that's bullshit. it's not like this is their first (winter) sale. they know the shit ton amount of traffic they get during sales, they should adapt to it instead of displaying their ongoing incompetences.

I can log into the store, but it keeps clearing my cart and kicking me back to the main page whenever I try to check out.

I just want to buy Pillars of Eternity and Divinity: Original Sin EE :(

Ah well, Cities: Skylines was cheaper on GMG anyway (20% code), I'll just have to check back before the sale is over on the Ys games. Go home Steam, you're drunk.

Yes, of course they know, but it's not that easy. Even if you set up millions of extra servers that won't solve all the issues that comes with it.

GAF, help me! I've been purchased £50 Steam credit by my lovely family, but I'm too penny pinching to purchase from the Steam store when there are others.

For example, Talos Principle is £7.49 on Steam, or only £6 on Nuuvem. A whole £1.50 cheaper!

Nuuvem is region locked as fuck, in general.

Not as far as I know.

No biggie, I'm not even close to being done with the main game anyway. Just gonna wait for a Uplay deal.

And yeah they've locked down Nuuvem to ridiculous levels for non-SA people, publisher pressure I guess.

#DealWithIt

But seriously, just get things you want directly on Steam, and accept that you have gotten $50 of games. Cause if you play those $50 right, you will still end up with more games then you need.

Anyone know a good and addictive soccer game on Steam? I really like Kopanito All-Star Soccer, but would gladly buy another one.

I guess that Rocket League is a game you're already familiar with? :)

Kopanito is good though? Does it have any worthwhile singleplayer modes?

PSA: No, Your New PC Can't Run That Game in 4K at Ultra

It's funny - two and a half years ago I built a new gaming rig with a 4.5GHz 3820 and a water-cooled and overclocked Titan. Thing was a beast. At 1080p, I could play every game I want at max/ultra settings, max'd AA, max'AF, and maintain a solid 60fps - usually hitting triple digits.

I'm really into R6: Siege right now... unfortunately, I've upgraded my monitor to a 1440p variant; and I now see that, well, I need to upgrade.

Even at medium/high settings and AA off, I'm struggling to maintain 60fps. Ugh. In Rainbow Six Siege. It's not even a looker.

Pascal can't get here soon enough.

Siege has crazy drops when you look in specific directions on a few maps, it's a mess. I believe it's only on certain configs though so who knows if they'll even patch it.

Forgot to say I got Rocket League from GMG as well, but I haven't tried it on my desktop as I am not home for the holidays. I am looking for a light, laptop-friendly soccer game.

Kopanito is ace, lots of single player with all kinds of continental leagues and a very funny gameplay, but the laptop's kinda f'd and needs a format and some new paste on the CPU as soon as I get back home. It currently turns off while playing Kopanito, presumably overheating.
