Looking for some RPG's with great stories and characters along the lines of Witcher 3, Kotor, Dragon Age etc. Have €50 credit. Pillars of Eternity looks good, anything else?

Sure would be nice to be able to tab out of WotS4 without crashing the game. Now i'm sitting here with the game running on my pc while browisng gaf from my laptop.

Pillars of eternity is already the best thing you can pick from current releases. Age of Decadence worth playing as well.

Nuuvem is having a Sonic franchise sale (no idea if you just need a VPN or have to have a SA person buy them)

Sonic Generations for $3.20 (the Casino Night DLC for 19 cents)
Sonic Lost World for $7.69
Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed for $2.24
Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed 4-Pack for $6.73

Played some more FF13, and made it
back to Eden from Gran Pulse
. I'm pretty close to the end, right?
I also think I noticed what went wrong the last time when I played it on PS3, and every battle just started to feel like massive grind at this point. When the chrystarium opens up, I started pumping all my cp into secondary roles without really noticing how expensive they were, ignoring the primary roles entirely. That combined with me practically running through
Pulse
seemingly resulted in my crew being in kind of bad shape for
Eden
. That's my theory anyway.

SteamGAF is too generous. Gifting games despite my lack of time to play them.

Also hit 900 games. Hurray.
No one ever gifts me games.
That's about what I'm willing to pay for it. Thanks.

The spiderweb RPGs have great, great, great storie/settings/lore, but going by your list, you prefer 3D RPGs?

Give Avernum a try (2 bucks) if you like old school RPGs as well. The dev has 10 more games on Steam if you like it as well.

OH FOR FUCK'S SAKE
That's it I'm not buying from nuuvem directly again, damn thing charged the bank account first instead of the card, even after I chose my credit card specifically.

So the best Ys game to get is Origin? I want only one, and I want the best one. Thanks!

They're ALL good, one person will tell u game A is better than game B, nd another would tell you game B is better than game A.
They're all good in teir own way.
If you want a good starting point, g with Oath in Felghana (Ys 3).

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines, Shadowrun: Dragonfall & Hong Kong, Alpha Protocol

we gotta get more posts like this

alpha protocol wasn't on my list and I went through the last 70 pages or so in this thread and I don't think it was said.

Other last gen games that are worth buying on steam? decently better than ps3/360 versions. hit me!

Im not even a pc gamer that much but I can tell you taht vampire is damn awesome.... love it. bought it like 3 or so years ago and its a joy.

You guys can kindly gift me if you ever have old cheap games, hell Id even send paypal funds as thanks just because its difficult to deal with buying in china sometimes.

If you really want one, yes, Origin is the best one on Steam, however, if you feel hooked up and decide to buy more Ys games later, you'll probably find the other ones a less bit refined, as they were originally released earlier.

I just bought A Pixel Story and tried playing it using my Xbox One controller (also using the official wireless adapter). For some reason, the game is interpreting the left analog stick as always being pushed to the left, even though I didn't touch the stick when I turned the controller on and synced it with the adapter. This makes it impossible to play the game, navigate menus, etc. None of my other controller-supported Steam games have this issue. Does anyone have any ideas about how to fix this? Thanks!

I had the same issue in Undertale when using my Xbox One pad. Try adjusting the stick sensitivity in game if you can. Also, have you adjusted your controllers stick sensitivity via the Xbox One Accessories W10/Xbox one app? I also play with the wireless adapter, and my issues were fixed.

Some problem with a drivers maybe ?

were these "dude posted his goty list and everyone complains about this dude's taste being different" threads always this bad?

and still 22 cards to idle... this is taking forever

i wonder how many years it'd take for jasec to idle all his cards

Strangers opinions on what games they liked are serious business shakah brah.

Always a horror show. People can't take others having completely different tastes to them. Especially the games need to be reviewed objectively(translation: to my standards) crowd.

Thanks, I'll try adjusting stick sensitivity in the game and/or Xbox One Accessories app. Hopefully, that will work.

I don't know; I have the latest drivers for the controller and wireless adapter, so I hope that's not the issue.

Also, this is my first Steam sale (just built my first gaming PC), so here's what I ended up with:

XCOM: Enemy Unknown/Within
Age of Empires II (played the hell out of this in high school)
A Pixel Story
Super Puzzle Platformer Deluxe
Assassin's Creed Rogue (really liked Black Flag, and heard this was similar)
Bastion
Binary Domain
Bully
Gunpoint
L.A. Noire
Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas
Psychonauts
Rogue Legacy
Shadowrun: Dragonfall
Sniper Elite 3
Sonic Generations
South Park: The Stick of Truth
Tembo the Badass Elephant
The Banner Saga
Transformers: War for Cybertron

It's mostly stuff I missed out on playing in the past (Psychonauts, Bully, Transformers, South Park, etc.) with a few random recommendations of newer games. I think that will do for a while.

I really recommend Mad Max, huge surprise for me as to how much I like it. Sure I love open world games and collecting stuff but with Mad Max all the collecting makes sense and such. The world i really well realized, driving feels great and I actually like the combat, sure frustrating at times but also satisfying. Long time since I saw the movies besides the Fury Road but this is the first time I really feel like Max really is Mad, I always play the "good guy" in games but with him I just feel brutal and merciless.

Speaking of Mad Max, those cars with a bunch of scrap, what's the best way to get the scrap besides driving them to a Stronghold? Tried blowing the car up but that didn't give me the scrap.XD

High price + dismal discount for me.
Wouldn't think too long if it was 50% off, would buy two copies if it was 75% off.
Alas, XSEED gonna XSEED.

i have to respond to this...

considering the amount of text in the game, my assumption is. they are trying to recoup as much of the cost as possible. The absolute development hell of the game doesn't surprise me that the game is still 30 dollars. I badly want the game myself but i too will wait until it hits 20 dollar mark personally.

I've tried Wolfenstein The New Order and I'm getting the shittiest framerates, it keeps dropping to 30fps everytime. I'm on a 2500k stock and GTX970 at 1080p. What gives? I even tried lowering shadow resolution to 4096 instead of 8192, no difference.

I was thinking about getting Rocket League to play with my girlfriend, but I have a couple of questions:

- Can we play split-screen in the same PC using two controllers?
- Does my girlfriend have to create her own Steam account to play with me, or is she allowed to play as a guest?

Thanks!

I recommend Nobunaga. Bladestorm is a good port but a dull game.
The Nobunaga game is strategy game if you're into that. Plus you can do this

This UI reminds me of Dragon Force.

Is the battle mechanics anything like that?

I haven't tried it personally but I've seen that there is split-screen and I've seen people online that are "user" and "user-guest" or something like that, so you both play on your account.

Going off memory here, but there are two options called "haze flare" or some such and a reflection option. Turn off both of those since they barely do anything but cost you performance.

I also found this post (the first response by Dirty Dan, not the OP) to be helpful and just copying what he did gave me fairly solid 60fps (it will still drop some). Watch out for the cheats he has in his tweak list.

I just beat this playing with a 970 + 4790k @ 1440p. I stayed at locked 60 during gameplay and it only dropped to locked 30 during cutscenes. Is that what you're expreriencing?

I've never noticed them before, I guess there are just more of them now because of youtube personalities being a popular thing

I am in the mood of another telltale story. I played The Walking Dead, The Walking Dead Season 2 and The Wolf Among Us. Among them, The Wolf Among Us was the best, IMO. Which other one would you recommand (Game of Thrones, Borderlands, Minceraft)?

Everyone here should tell you borderlands.
Which depending on who you ask is on par or better than TWAU.

But I've seen benchmarks giving the 970 a smooth 60fps with everything maxed out. And both my GPU and CPU aren't near 100% utilitazion while in game. What the hell?

No, getting 30fps outside of cutscenes too. I look around and it just goes down.
