It means that it is a game so good, that it is truly a console game experience in everything but the platform it is on. Examples could include Freedom Planet prior to console release, or the upcoming Drift Stage. These games play great on a television, scale well, are made with controller in hand in mind, and have a 10 foot interface and require no clunky PC input devices.

Yo, a recommendation for those who liked/interested in Vampires: Masquerade Bloodlines.

The person in question is incredibly kind, as multiple people will report they would report an error or glitch, the developer would respond, release a patch to fix it the next day and then message to see if it was fixed for them, among other things. So supporting good devs is good.
But more-so, while the game is a bit rough around the edges, it is actually a pretty good hidden gem, and does in some ways scratch that Vampires: MB itch. It's got heart and some good execution, falters in a few places, but I've been enjoying it. Writing is good, as is atmosphere, combat is a bit clunky, but works. Has some old-school action-RPG aspects some may enjoy. It's not deeply discounted (25% off though was fully released recently), but going to recommend it due to the ambitious mostly successful game that's a bit of a hidden gem made by a good developer.

Because of one Super Bunnyhop's video leading to another Elder Scrolls vid, I found a Morrowind let's play series. Started watching and kinda wanted to play it myself.
Haven't gone far yet, but I already stole that magic sword from one of the guard towers in Balmora and some armor from the wardrobe it laid on, since I was at it.
Let's see now when I get bored of the game and uninstall it. I think last time I did a format during the playthrough and while I had the save files backed up, I installed the game, never got around to launching it or even copying the saves and of course uninstalled it after a few days.
I probably had more fun messing around with the editor than playing the game itself.

RTS's with a focus on story and like an actual single player campaign that's more than just MP tutorials seem kind of rare. Is Homeworld the best in that subgenre? Any other recommendations?

That rebranded Shipbreakers game (Homeworld on the ground, from what I understand) is coming up as well.
I can only think of very old games. Straight up traditional RTS mostly seem to follow the formula laid out by Starcraft and Brood War, with an involved campaign that's very similar to the MP.
If you venture outside of the classical base building formula (Ground Control, World in Conflict, RUSE), you'll get other priorities.

You mean bloodlust? Yeah I turned around and refunded that pretty fast about a month ago. Didn't work with my bluetooth headset, had shitloads of spelling/grammar mistakes right at the beginning, and the dialogue was pretty bad. Vampire: The Masquerade it is not.

I have seen some with that opinion, but I've enjoyed what I've played. It is rough in some areas, but in others I think the execution is surprisingly great. It's a flawed gem in my eyes, but it does itch some things for me and reminds me of a few things, and obviously was an ambitious project for the team size. And one that accomplished some things it set out to do, not so in others, but I've enjoyed what I've played this far.
I am curious, for an opposing viewpoint what made you decide to refund it?

* A random "adult" used IndieGoGo to raise $1000, yes, seriously, to buy the rights to Keen Dreams, did so, and then eventually was able to release the game on Steam, but he's not related to iD and the complete pack doesn't include his release. I put adult in air quotation marks because if you read his communications during the process of getting the rights, updating the game, and releasing it, you too would be confused.
Keen 6 is still lost to the abyss.

Also, this made me realize I don't own anything id software on steam. It's incredibly sad there's no more cool developer packs like they used to bundle in the past. That's another thing really missing in the sale.

Grim Dawn is a lock, and I'm leaning towards Darkest Dungeon. I guess YS is already on its lowest discount so it'll be safe to skip it for now, and I can still wait for a deeper one on TiTS. Darkest Dungeon is a special case, as I predict that the price will go up on release day next month, and I won't be getting this price again until the game hit 75% off next summer or winter, perhaps.

Abandonware isn't a thing. If you're asking whether or not you're going to be criminally prosecuted for pirating it, the answer is no just as it is for a new release game. I own all but Ys VI and Grim Dawn. Darkest Dungeons is great, but I'd lean toward Trails.
If you want a game with a lot of management and a great combat system, Darkest Dungeon is it, though there's not much story/character there other than window dressing.
On the other hand TiTs has a decent combat system mixed with tons of dialogue and interesting characters. The plot itself is servicable and doesn't follow the usual "save the world" tropes.
Hmmm...... Rebel Galaxy? Arcadey space sim(more like a naval battleship game considering you're locked to a 2d plane, game is 3d though just not the movement plane), you can use a controller, great production values, at the moment exclusive to PC.
Yup, XSEED clearly values the game because it's a year and half old and only 50% off, while Ys VI released this year and is already 70% off.
I guess it's possible that it'll go 66% off next sale but it's well worth it at that price. Massive game.

darkest dungeon is definitely a good choice
it is turned based and side scrolling if you don't mind. Its really fun and the atmosphere makes it feel your stressing to get through this dungeon without anyone else dying.

Started playing Undertale. I don't know what to think about it yet, it's okay so far, but I don't see where I'm making any choices. I feel like I were

Didn't you can't stand Dark Souls? avoid Darkest Dungeon.. its great game and I love it, but I can't recommend to you with often you commenting about disliking game that made you frustrated, DD can pulling your hair.

I've just read some of the reviews and discussions, the hard part of the game is actually the harsh RNG system. People are calling it 'fake hard'. And damn, I hate combat RNG so much. Thanks for the warning!
