Drunk buy Pathologic which is one of the greatest games of all time. I overslept and missed the first hour of the party I was supposed to go to and it takes an hour to get there so loooooooooooool. Going to stay home and get my personal drink on.

i added a new game to my account and suddenly i realised my steam XP went up with 1. i didn't know your level could (albeit very slowly) rise by activating a game on steam?

guess you learn something new every day.

One xp per game so it's not the way to do it. I'm level 80 and need 9000 XP to reach 90, lol.

Pathologic is an amazing game... but not for everyone.

Game is very slow, very long, there's a lot of dialogue, and a game you can mess up and screw yourself to an early bad ending.

But there is no other game like it most certainly, the atmosphere is thick and unique, the game has a great story if you pay attention (very enjoyable), and can be a great experience. If you do find the appeal of the game, it will give you an unforgettable experience.

I second this motion. Pathologic is one of the best damn games of all time. Seriously, it's writing is far and above anything in gaming and it's soundtrack and world-building are so surreal and drenching in style. Incredibly underrated/under the radar. There's a remake coming out later in 2016 and a remaster of the original version came out on Steam earlier this year.

Picked up Dying Light and Dark Souls 2.

Thinking of Fable HD as well. Don't see anything else really worth getting.

out the top of my head, do you have:

- deus ex 1 and human revolution
- dishonored + dlc
- mass effect 1 and 2
- shadowrun dragonfall
- system shock 2
- thief 2 the metal age
- witcher 3
- ori and the blind forest
- mark of the ninja
- all bioshocks
- arkham asylum and city
- fallout 3 or preferably new vegas

still got around 30 minutes until the New Year for me but shutting down for the night so Happy New Year everyone

May everyone finally play all of the games we've bought

we won't

Yes and beaten all of them
Yes and modded the fuck out of them

Ended up buying Metro Redux and Tales from Borderlands while I wrote this up

Goddamn you steam sales you win again..

Lol, amazing.
Does it include the GOAT pepsiman music as well?

If it's worth the download it better.

Maybe only for hardcore collectors and cricket nuts, but you can get both the Bigant games from their website much cheaper than on steam.

TableTop Cricket US$9.99 -> US$5.45

Don Bradman Cricket 14 US49.99 -> US$32.72

Both never go on sale on steam so might be an option for some, steam keys of course.

Didn't you know that Donald Bradman is Dragonborn?!?

So as I mentioned somewhere earlier, I've been playing Morrowind.

We Daedric now.

Also, I'm now in the moment where
Caius said I might be the Nerevarine and sent me to the Ashlanders.
- how far into the main quest is it? Although I think I accidentaly saw mentioned somewhere that
you need to grind reputation for one of the trials
, so dunno. Not sure if the main quest is somehow connected to guild quests or whatever.

If I remember correctly, you are pretty far along.

You have to travel back and forth convincing the Ashlander camps.

You should correct your position on System Shock and Dragonfall.

I know it's a hell of a game but I just can't do isometric turn based games, too slow for me. I love F3/NV/F4 but I could never get into F1/2 for that same reason (the lore is so much better I'll admit.)

System Shock is (yet again) a fantastic game and I respect it's legacy tremendously but the graphics turn me off to it, they haven't aged well at all.

I just want to wish you guys a happy new year. I haven't been around because of teaching and because my nephew currently has the account, but I hope everything's going well.

Looks good to me.

Well... finished a 2-player co-op in Unity. Now that leaves doing a 4-player and then I guess I can attempt to do these co-op missions all solo.

Sigh, I was afraid this was gonna happen a year later. Ubisoft online stuff dies within six months of launch. :/

Is RE6 Complete worth getting? Any of those DLCs any good?

I know I'm an ardent hater so I'm biased but: No, outside of the Tetris Attack/Merc Versus one, NONE of the other ones are worthwhile for Biohazard 6. Especially the deathmatch one. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL mode just like the Versus mode of Bio5. Blech. Blech. Blech.

Not like Bio6 is a good game either.

I mean if you're getting the complete pack for cheap, it doesn't hurt to have them all since they have achievements tied to them all. But the only worthwhile one is Onslaught (IIRC).

Ah, thanks. I was kinda surprised. "Orcish armor already?", "They send me to Daedric ruins already? I just recently took a peek to that exact one and spent two hours trying to not get myself killed running the hell away from whatever was outside while I had no Divine Intervention", "Already a Daedric weapon?" etc. Maybe because I spent most of my recent free time playing it and sticked to the main quest and mages/warriors guild quests, not paying attention to other factions.

This is a weird request but does anyone have any recommendations on good PC games in this sale for like $5 or less? My Xbone broke and my son uses the PS4 all the time and I built this gaming PC and barely use it, was thinking of getting back into PC gaming. I see Ryse is like $6.. might get in on that. I saw Polygon's GOTY Her Story is like $3.. is this the same game? Sorry for such a wide open question, I know there are thousands of games on sale. I like all genres but shmups and puzzle pretty much.

I wrote Tomb Raider: Anniversary/Underworld - Key-goes-here for both. It created four giveaways for some reason. I shouldn't have used the :

No that works.

Use:

Tomb Raider: Anniversary - key-goes-here
Tomb Raider: Underworld - key-goes-here2

Unless they're bundled?

Does Cities: Skylines hold up? I remember a lot of fuss about upon release early in the year, and tempted to give a go with the sale price being so low.

Yes. For sure.

I haven't tried the expansion, but most people say it isn't worth it. However there are so many great mods that add so much to the game...

(Spoilers, obviously if you're sensitive to quest names and descriptions of them on a summary page of a wiki)

You're nearly at the half-mark, pretty much.

Fallout: New Vegas is on sale cheap. $6.49 for the Ultimate Edition with all the DLC.

Is RE6 Complete worth getting? Any of those DLCs any good?

If you have people to play with. All of the DLC is related to misc multiplayer modes. I have had a lot of fun with them with friends, but without friends, it probably wouldn't be worth it.

It's four different modes, three of them support 6 people, one of them supports two.

The one that supports two is a weird Puzzle-game type spin on Mercenaries where you have a grid on screen and you need to defeat certain types of enemies to fill the grid, make combos, and getting combos drops more tough enemies on your friends arena to deal with. It's actually pretty interesting and fun.

However, the real fun is in the other three modes. One of them is Versus, where it can be an up to six people free-for-all of sliding into each other, quick scoping, and whatever. When you die, you turn into a monster, like a zombie or something else, and if you get the killing blow on a human player you're revived, last person standing is the winner. The second is a mod where you have to defend a BSAA agent with two teams, one team plays as human characters, the other plays as monsters, a time limit to protect/kill him in.

The most fun mode is probably Ustanak Mode, all of the Mercenaries stages are altered somewhat (like Edonia stage gets turrets and the lower area is closed off), one player plays as Ustanak andf the other 1-5 players as humans fighting it. Last one standing is the winner, there is a time limit, and weapon drops are had to give the humans/Ustanak a powerful advantage (but the humans can destroy Ustanak's weapon before he picks it up, Ustanak can destroy humans weapon before they pick it up). It's quite a fun and frantic mode as Ustanak can do everything from just charging, to throwing grenades, stretching out an extendable claw, punching people bluntly, picking up and throwing players (throwing downed players at another player to knock them over is the best), and the Ustanak's bonus weapons are the misc weapons from the game he gets in boss fights, the shotgun and the ball-and-chain.

They're dumb fun, though, and maybe my friends and I are the only ones who have a good time with it, provides a lot of laughs and clutch moments. Without friends to play it with, though, I wouldn't recommend it.

Happy new year!

I just noticed that Sayonara UmiharaKawase was pulled from Steam... damn I was waiting for the end of the sale to get it.... :(
This sucks. :( Hope it gets back on the store somehow.

Her Story is the same game that's getting all the GOTY nods, yeah. You can get Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 1&2 for 6 bucks (or $2.99 each). Otherwise, what kind of games do you enjoy? It'd be easier to recommend stuff that way.
