Before the sale ends, I'm going to make a last-ditch effort attempt to attract some of you to buy and try this little gem that's close to out of Early Access:

Lakeview Cabin Collection

An episodic horror-comedy game series with no traditional story, you're thrown in with four characters into a variety of 80s horror movie scenarios and do what you want. In an open-world area with a ton of things to mess around with and danger, kill yourself, kill your friends, kill the killer, eat, get high, ride a bike, whatever. Fun to mess around with, and also fun to try to work out how to accomplish and win the episodes and get different endings, plus a lot of secrets. I finally decided to play it right before the sale began, and loved it. Three episodes currently out, the gif below is just from the first episode.

I'm done buying this sale, but added to my Wishlist for future reference, so thanks for posting this.

There are just too many good games on Steam, it's quite incredible once you start the Discovery Queue and see the amount of Positive rated games that devs have poured their hearts in to, that you've never even heard of.

My wishlist is nearly at 100 now....

Is GOG Galaxy having issues right now or it on my end? I was playing The Witcher 3 earlier and was about to launch it again, only it won't let me and it says "Game Corrupt".
I'm trying to a verify/repair, but it won't let me.
I have a problem with my firewall and GOG Galaxy, but disabling it solves the problem, but not this time.. client still won't download whatever it wants to download

i've had this dead island epidemic beta gift in my inventory forever now. i'm pretty sure the game is dead too. any way to get rid of this thing?

After buying enemy within I started playing xcom again.
I suck so bad though, like half the countries has left the council and a few are full panic.

Any tips to get better, mostly what to research and build is things I've gotten wrong.

Looks interesting I'll have to check it out.

get as many satellite uplinks asap. sell junk on grey market. research stuff that finishes quickly unless you really have no use for it. try to plan ahead, I guess?

This ended up being the last post on the last page so it was probably missed so I will jus repost this:

Anybody want to go in on a 4 pack of rocket league with me? I will buy and am looking for 3 other people. Works out to be $10.50. PM me if interested.

It looks like you've been attempting a lot of purchases in the last few hours. Please wait a while before trying again.

Bah. I suppose it's a good thing that, for once, buying games on Steam triggered an automatic fraud block... but the manual override that's been put in place expires in six hours.

dying light is a bit too difficult for how brainless it is

i'm playing it while i listen to giantbomb goty deliberations but i keep dying over and over again

i think i'm gonna drop all the sidequest stuff and just do main story

it's just so fucking repetitive already

Yeah, I wish I didn't buy it. I don't like it.
Have you guys played it co-op? I honestly wouldn't play this game alone, but myself and two buddies last night played about a 600 minute session straight. Very fun to play with a buddy or two.
I guess I'll rebuy it and try again and put it on my SSD this time. It seems like a fun game, but its just so dumb how I can run Witcher 3 at near max with no problem yet this 2014 game was giving me anything from 30-60 fps with stutters on medium.

On a side note, I just watched the new Sherlock special episode. Man Telltale should make a Sherlock episodic game. I'd buy that.
There might have been patches since you last played. Just picked it up this sale and am experiencing no performance issues with the game on an HDD.

Damn i can't buy Cubesis in Chile, i wanted to try because some gaffers said it was good and it was cheap and it's not for sale, damn region restrictions.

Almost finished playing Witcher 2, really enjoying it but some aspects of its storytelling are bugging me tbh.

It's got a great habit of dropping names of characters, places and events at whim and (unless I have missed some important side quests or something from the books) I have no idea who/what they are?

For example both Phillipa Eilhart and something called the Thanned Massacre have been mentioned a bunch but I have no idea who/what they are nor have I met this Philippa =/

I feel like I need a glossary >_<

Did you choose Roche? Philippa Eilhart is a major character in the Iorveth arc of the game. The Thanedd massacre is an event from the books.

Yeah I chose Roche.

So this has been from stuff outside the game and as a result of my choices? That's kinda shit frankly, and other games have been scorned for it before.

community again soon fellow steamgaf
I'm remembering someone saying we will stay in Gaming for a while after sale ends to get more visibility and newcomers.
...
On that, after learning about the following from Jase this Summer Sale, I found it interesting and I'm sure many others will have "fun" (shame) in checking their own stats.

If you go to your badge page and click on "How do I earn Card Drops" from the current Sale Badge, you'll get a summary on how many event cards you collected and how much money you spent this sale.

Am I crazy for thinking this sale isn't anything special? The prices didn't change if they were on the front page (notably, Dying Light), when I distinctly remember times when the "featured" sales were even further discounted from the normal sale price during the rest of the sale.

they did the fall and winter sales differently...no daily or flash sales

featured just means it's on the front page...nothing more

Philippa Eilhart is not a key character for your playthrough. If you want to know the full story about what's happening at the other side of the mist you'll need to replay the game. The second act and parts of the third will be completely different.

But it's true that The Witcher 2 is less accessible for newcomers and doesn't really do handholding. You can always look up a specific person or event if you don't know about it. Also use the in-game glossary for characters.

There weren't any dailies.

record low for me.

Only spent about €10 this sale.
Probably won't spend any more either, unless there is something special I have missed.
I have €6 left in my wallet.

maybe i should stop playing so many games at once, I don't know where I am in dead space

I don't even remember those hundreds of screenshots I took

I wish it worked for past sales too. Of course there's purchase history but that's extra effort.

About 50% what I spend on Summer Sale so far. Seems like removing dailies was good call.

I bought the mobile ported to pc colin mcrae rally for £0.99 thinking that i'd enjoy playing it for a second time (first time was on iOS at launch) and well the controller feature seems broken with it and doesn't work with my xbox 360 or one controllers.

so I asked for a refund on a 99p game lol

Only $15 for me this sale, not counting the Dragon's Dogma pre order.
Kinda broke due to the full price Fallout 4 purchase in November.

It has died down a tiny bit sincer the launch of current gen consoles, but really not enough to have proper discussions undisturbed by misinformation and drive-bys.

Yeah, it's totally not worth it. Some people are just ignorant.

How is the FFXIII-2 port these days? I remember the first game was rough at launch.

both poop

some people seem to have better luck with xiii-2 by disabling the framerate pacer, but ff13-2 runs poopier on my end, while ff13 runs at a consistent 30fps which I think is good enough
