I can see why Lords of the Fallen wasn't reviewed well. They tried to emulate Dark Souls, and one of the worst things they did is that the many of the enemies are placed in small corridors where its almost impossible for you to dodge and the camera is just bad.

also you play as a big burly gritty man dude

Guys which is better, Kerbal Space Program or Rocket League

Keep in mind that I have no friends

Finally got all the trophies for episode 1 of King's Quest. Goddamn the Helping Hat one was a bitch. Happy I can continue now and not have lingering thoughts about what should have been. At least the episode is short.
You know the answer. Kerbal.
Bought this recently, will hopefully play it soon. I hate aeronautical and mechanical engineering though. Do I get to set up the power system?

I can't knock KSB without playing it, but I'll say that you don't need friends to enjoy Rocket League. It's probably my GOTY.

I think I might refund undertale, not enjoying very much. I get very bored of it very fast.

I think I should maybe restart with another mind set.

man that's cool

i wish i had played re3 while my phobias let me

Yai, the costumes are cool, I agree, always fun in the RE series to have all the unlockable costumes, and sometimes the costumes have special properties too (like the mafia outfit in RE4 or the Heavy Metal outfit in RE5 or Ninja Chris in RE: Director's Cut, and so forth and on). I hope if (when) they do the remake of RE3 they keep all of Jill's costumes from that, there's some nice ones.

Will I get all of those costumes if I have simply pre-ordered the game? Or did I have to participate in that voting-thing?

And wow, I can only have 6 items in my inventory in Resident Evil: HD Remaster, and not able to throw any of it to make room for something else? I have finally come around herbs, and I want to heal myself but I can't, because my inventory is full. :(

Pre-ordering is for the cheerleader Rebecca and shirtless Billy costumes (and wbacon, a Capcom person on GAF, said if you already owned REmaster HD and pre-ordered Zero, you'd also get the Nurse Rebecca costume and the Prison Billy costumes, which are pre-order incentives for the Resident Evil Origins collection, which is REmake + Zero HD).

The rest of the costumes are unlockable in game, except all the T-shirts, which does include the Jill one. They said those who helped vote on the community contest shirts (the Jill one is one of those) will get a DLC code for it when the game releases in a couple weeks, so may be codes floating around. But all the others are unlockable in the game itself.

And yes, one of the things about older Resident Evil games is inventory management, it takes a bit to get used too. Item boxes will become your friend, need to decide what you absolutely need to carry with you and what you don't. If this was Zero, you could just drop the item on the ground and pick up what you need, however. Of note, I assume you're playing as Chris. Chris has 6 item slots and generally has the 'harder' campaign as he also doesn't have help from Barry, and has to find small keys (which Jilly doesn't, since she's the master of unlocking), though Chris has less item slots and no Barry help, he does get to carry the lighter as a freebie, and has a lot more health than Jill (and gets some free heals a bit later from another character).

It will probably take more effort to get something out of Kerbal, but if you are willing to do that there is probably more there for you. So it depends on what you are looking for.

Hmm, so if this is my first play-through, is it alright I went with Chris Redfield?

And it sucks I need to find a container before I can heal myself. I am one hit from dying.

I'm remembering someone saying we will stay in Gaming for a while after sale ends to get more visibility and newcomers.
...
On that, after learning about the following from Jase this Summer Sale, I found it interesting and I'm sure many others will have "fun" (shame) in checking their own stats.

If you go to your badge page and click on "How do I earn Card Drops" from the current Sale Badge, you'll get a summary on how many event cards you collected and how much money you spent this sale.

To be fair, that does include 16 watch_dog completes!

Damn, people were not kidding when they said Snakebird was hard. It's pretty hard.

I did my first playthrough as Chris, you should be fine though good to learn the item limit thing early. As I said, Chris has some advantages to Jill's campaign, the biggest being he has like twice as much health than her almost. One thing I an recommend outside of item inventory management is to learn the layout of the mansion and try and clear some routes you may want to transverse later in emergency situations. Another plus to Chris is if you want to delve into REmake's post-game content, you need to beat both Jill and Chris's campaigns and do one of them on Hard Mode, and tackling Jill's hard mode may be overall easier. REmake has some really cool bonuses, costumes like we listed above, but it also has unlockable weapons, modes, and challenges to complete. I won't spoil it now, though.

It sounds like you're still early in, so I won't spoil anything, but I will say be careful and a tip, while you have limited saves, they give you more than enough ink ribbons than you need, maybe rotate saves in case you end up in a pickle and while don't save every 5 minutes or something, you probably can get by saving every once in a while.

Anybody have a recommendation on a bluetooth adapter to work with PS4 controller on PC? I need about 10 feet of connectivity.

Yeah, two things I'll have a hard time with managing, at least in the start, is inventory and saves. I already used two ribbons, while I could have done with saving only once but I'll learn the hang of it over time.

My inventory consist of a knife, gun, bullets, a diamond gem, a shield emblem and I don't remember the sixth item. I could have problem waited picking up the emblem and gem, so that I would have had room for some herbs.

Should I be careful with my bullets too? Because I plan on shooting a zombie to dead at a narrow corridor to get through. I'm no good with the knife.

it's such a pity that the dlc culture got rid of unlockables

i kind of feel i'm not in the moment of my life to bother with that either way but still, i did enjoy that aspect of old games a whole bunch

tho i do appreciate just spending 5 bucks and getting my fanservice right away

KSB is my GOTY, now what?

I think if you participated in each wave, you get the costume for the wave, but they might come together. They said they'd email codes when the game was released though, so see then.

Though Rebecca Chambers has an absurd amount of costumes in Zero HD Remaster. I love it.

Summary/TL;DR:

Zero is a gorgeous and moody game with some fantastic puzzles, varied locales, likable protagonist that grow over the game's course (this might actually be the first time a RE game has character growth through the title actually, come to think of it), and some good bonuses. It lacks some of the series punches, with a somwhat timid enemy selection and a sort of annoying item system, but is a solid entry that I do hope some come to play and realize it's a solid RE game, maybe not the best in its series, but certainly not the worst, and an enjoyable ride.

PROS:
+Beautiful art direction and animation, maybe the best-looking old survival-horror game of all time
+Some good atmospheric music, solid soundtrack
+Billy and Rebecca are likable characters
+The puzzles are some of, if not the, best in the RE series
+Varied locations
+A few pretty good scare scenes
+Bonus content is fun.

MIDDLING:
/Playing as two characters you switch between is neither great nor terrible
/With two inventories, the game gives you a lot of Macguffins to carry around and waste space
/Atmosphere is usually more lightly coating than oppressive

CONS:
-Item dropping can be a drag sometimes
-Story outside of Rebecca's/Billy's tale is a bit odd and unremarkable
-Monster selection is timid by series standards
-Feels like it's missing some of the 'wow' factor of some other RE titles (IE, stalker enemy, strategic path-planning, etc.)

See what I think with the upcoming HD Remaster version just on the horizon, but if you want to pick it up from GMG for 25% off, now's your chance!!

Ugh. I'm trying to play it now and it's incredibly frustrating. The controls are really loose and it seems like a quarter of my inputs are simply ignored.

Zero is a weird case, a lot of the costumes are actually unlockable in the game. How Zero HD Remaster is tackling it, it's;

UNLOCKABLE IN GAME:
-Cowgirl Rebecca
-Leather Rebecca
-'Wesker' Rebecca
-Basketball Rebecca
-Red Director's Cut Rebecca
-Yakuza Billy

PRE-ORDER INCENTIVES/DLC:
-Cheerleader Rebecca
-Nurse Rebecca
-'RE0' T-Shirt Rebecca
-Prison 'Street Fighter Cody' Billy
-Shirtless Wolf-Pack Billy

MISC (off-site) PROMOTIONS:
-All of the rest of Rebecca's T-Shirts outside of the RE0 one.

It's better than other things being DLC, but for better or worse Capcom can make some pretty good costumes, though unlike most studios despite doing DLC I think one key is that they also still keep a lot of unlockables in their games. RE5 and RE6 and Revelations and Revelations 2 all also have unlockables, including unlockable costumes (though Revelations 2 did have some DLC costumes).

Anybody have a recommendation on a bluetooth adapter to work with PS4 controller on PC? I need about 10 feet of connectivity.

I just bought a Kinivo BTD-400 and I might just barely eke out 10 feet if I put the receiver on my front USB 3 port and connect it to my speaker that's rated for 50 feet (UE Boom). So I would not recommend that. My guess would be the bigger the antenna the better the receiver, most of the innards should be mass-produced chinese junk regardless.

Do we know if the preorder ones are exclusive for preorders? I want dat Cheerleader Rebecca and Shirtless Wolf-Pack Billy but I kinda want to wait for a sale to get the game.

Should I be careful with my bullets too? Because I plan on shooting a zombie to dead at a narrow corridor to get through. I'm no good with the knife.

The knife in RE1 is crap unless you're really skilled, its main use is to conserve bullets and knife zombies while down unless you're insanely skilled with it (some crazies do all-knife runs in REmake). But honestly? I say ditch the knife, unless you're skilled it's mostly useless and taking up an item inventory slot makes it not worth it. Do be careful with bullets, one thing of RE is learning when to kill and when to run or maneuver around. And I'll just say there will be some threats you'll learn of over the game that makes it so killing enemies is not always the best option.

Remember that all item boxes are connected. You can pick up any item you drop off at any item box at any other item box, so if not sure you'll need it, can drop it off and pick it up elsewhere. AND ONE MORE HINT, if you check your map, rooms you've visited you may notice are either red or a greyish. If a room is red, then that means there's an item in there you haven't picked up. If it's greyish, it means there's no other items to be picked up in that room. Can be helpful in the future if you don't know what to do.

Be interested to hear your progress through, first run will probably stick with you by the end of it.

Thank you Grief, I can PM you a paragraph version for January. XD

I imagine they'll be DLC, though not confirmed yet I don't believe. However, if they follow REmake's situation, we won't get a discount over 25% for over a year (REmake HD has been out for a year and STILL hasn't gone under 25% on Steam ;3; ), so if want it anytime soon, the 25% off from GMG may be the best bet, and then won't have to buy the outfits if made separate (which likely will be, I imagine).

I would suggest not holding on to any puzzle pieces (the diamond and emblem) until you reach a puzzle that calls for it so drop them off as soon as you can. I would also drop the knife as well if you're good on ammo.

I haven't played the remake but herbs should be plentiful in the environment so you can pick them up as you go along otherwise you just end up finding more herbs in the environment and puzzle pieces (which will just clutter up your inventory making managing them a pain).

Combine your herbs to free up more space and try to be somewhat stingy with them. Heal when you really need it (Caution (Orange)/Danger) rather than Caution (Yellow). Listen to your environment before moving around to see if there is anything in the room so you don't get attacked off screen.

My first ever steam sale, here's what i got:
Knights of the Old Republic
Psychonauts
Lethal League
Double Dragon Neon
Blade Symphony
Serious Sam: First Encounter

I know, not THAT much, but thats enough for me to play right now lol.

Undertale is definitely making it into my top 3. I just completed my first run (
I took the Pacifist route
). Holy shit you guys. Now to achieve the
True Pacifist ending
.

yeah having both makes everyone happy

Finished Undertale, gotta say I really enjoyed it, but I don't think it's a revolutionary videogame or anything. Went for Full Pacifist ending, and it's incredible. Also had a lot of fun with Sans and Papyrus.

But the battle system is infuriating. I'm not very good at that type of stuff and had to fight almost every boss battle like 5 times. The worst was
the battle against the photoshoped Flowey, when the game closes if you lose
.

Gonna try the Genocide route next time.

Maybe when the Resident Evil 3 remake eventually happens.

re3outfits.jpg
RE2make is going to absolutely wreck everything as far as digital sales go (If Capcom doesn't fuck this up by trying to RE4-ify a classic). If everything goes smooth I'm sure they'll announce RE3make as fast as they can. That is definitely the RE I've wanted to see remade most.
And since I realized I posted that at the bottom of the last page and I was editing/adding to it, I will edit that out and post it here. XD; WANT TO SPREAD THE ZERO WORD.

---

Good ole Jawmuncher was curious for my impressions of Resident Evil Zero before the HD version cometh, so here I go. I'll give a detailed (but non-spoilery, don't worry) impression of what I think of Zero, which I've played three times on Gamecube/Wii, the most recent playthrough being one I held RIGHT BEFORE REmake HD was announced in 2014.

So in case you don't know, Resident Evil Zero is getting an HD Remaster for everything including PC, releasing on the 19th:

Resident Evil 0 HD Remaster

You can get Zero HD Remaster for $15 off GMG with the 25% off coupon right now, I will add. Coupon expires on the 4th. If REmake HD is any sign, it won't get any cheaper than that for over a year either.
GMG 25% off coupon (expires on the 4th): 25PERC-2016GM-WTHGMG

This was a pleasure to read. RE0 isn't my favorite RE, but it's definitely one of the pre-RE4 ones I appreciate most. It's definitely a beautiful game and I prefer it's version of co-op play compared to what the new RE titles offer. I think people who put in the time are going to find it a perfectly good survival horror experience. The music, visuals, puzzles and gameplay (stale for it's time, but pretty damn novel these days for a Capcom title) will surely be worth the $15.

better to buy what you actually intend on playing and not every game on steam.

Is LARA CROFT AND THE TEMPLE OF OSIRIS worth an extra $3.53 more on the SE humble bundle? I already own the other 2 games. I noticed alot of mixed reviews on steampage. Should I use my cash else where?

I really only paying 5+ to get the other Tomb Raider games and maybe JC1 and I guess Yosumin, but really just TR games and a few things from the dollar tier.
