There are still daily sales outside of the event sales. DS2 will be one eventually.

Honestly though, I think DS2 has hit a decent price for everyone at this point. SotFS was only a bad deal for people who already had the DLC, and I believe it went pretty cheap for them in the fall sale.

i'm using the idle master now for the first time, and i have a few questions:

1. it counts down from 6 minutes multiple times until "the next check" (or the english equivalent), what exactly does this mean?

2. i understand it's simulating being in-game, but does it do that simultaneously for all games, meaning i get all available cards in 4 hours? or does it idle games individually? if the latter, would that theoretically mean that 100 games would take me 400 hours of idling if the card drop is 4 per game?


quick edit: according to the steam client, three games are running and the rest isn't, so i think the answer to question 2 is "both"? is there a limit?

1. It's the timer where it checks if there are any drops remaining for that game. It's 30 minutes for every card drop except the last one, and every 5 minutes for the last one.
2. It idles all games with less than 2 hrs of playtime for 2 hours, then individually. This is because valve implemented a 2 hours cooldown where you don't get card drops because of steam refunds.

Yep, we'll be voting by PM again this year. I'm going to open the voting on the 7th (Thursday), to give people enough time to finish up a few more games from 2015. Voting will stay open for two weeks and close on the 21st. Results will be revealed shortly after voting closes (probably hours, not months).

I'll type up all the official rules and post them in the Steam thread closer to when the voting starts.

Dark Forces 1 & 2 have Doom-esque levels, so yeah. You have a map and you may need it; there's none of this forced checkpoint / linear progression stuff that's infested modern shooters.

Keeping in mind their age, the entire Dark Forces/Jedi Knight series is great.

Well, that was weird. I bought it as a gift, but the only thing that shows up is The White March. That explains the problem with buying the bundle, and now I need to go try my luck with Steam Support.

1. If I understand it correctly, it iddles for 6 minutes and then checks if it got a card or not. If it was the last, it jumps to the next game.

2. I don't know wich version you have, mine goes one by one.

Checking to see if all card drops have happened.

All games need to be idled for 2 hours before they drop cards due to Steam's refund policy. After it gets 2 hours in the games, it'll begin idling them individually aince that makes drops happen faster than multiple games at once.

You'll likely be idling for a while. I also will mention the idle time for games is different. For example, the Batman games have it so drops happeevery two hours or so, while others can be 10 minutes between drops.

If you need only cutting, cropping, trimming, framerate changes, resizing, Avidemux is the way to go. Totally free and works great.

This also does basic editing, is also free but best for fast WebM creation: WebMConverter

I think i'm gonna get Final Fantasy XI partially to actually play and partially to just have in my Steam library along with all the other FF games excluding (XIV so far). Is it even worth it anymore though?

FF11 doesn't have the last expansion in the Steam version IIRC. That's the only expansion you're missing. As for 14, I'd wait until it's near EoL as well if you have no intention of playing it right now.

As for it's worth, Square is starting to sunset it. But there's... *ahem* ... "other" methods of playing it if/when the PlayOnline servers do get shutdown for it if you're worried about it's 2-5 year prospects of you going to it.

Huh, you're thinking of the The White March Expansion Pass only. There's no such thing as the game + dlc. The White March complete is 27.99$

Why the mods continue to shove threads into community thinking people will go there beyond 5-10 people that'll continue to post in those threads with semi-offtopic AND on-topic posts in those threads... I dunno. But, they're trying to force/"fix" this issue to be solved by trying to get more exposure to that side-forum through something like this.

Rhapsodies of Vana'diel is not in the Ultimate Edition on Steam. Because it released last year as the "final expansion/story" for FF11. You have to buy it off the Square-Enidos store if you want that expansion/are going to play FF11.
