Oh, you know Jadzia totally talked about this. She was filthy. :p

I'm hoping falling will be more on the endearing/showing humility side than the oh god I think my wrist is broken side. I did rollerskate and rollerblade when I was younger and am pretty well coordinated so hopefully nothing too bad.
That's after 15 minutes of clean up.
This guy is my dude right here.

How about Propagandhi? When I first heard that song as a freshman in high school it blew my mind.
Man, propagandhi? Jesus. Im having flashbacks of a time I had forgotten.

I had to just listen to this again.

Just ate through nearly two bags of Haribo gummies. Sour and regular. Gummies are like crack for me. What have I done?

I somehow managed to see Mineral twice last year. I have no idea how the hell that happened but it did and hooooly shit they were so good

Brand New are hella good as well *thumbs up*

I only saw them once but it was amazing. i wanna see them again..like right now.

Didn't come into this thread expecting to hear 2+ people talking about mineral

Haha, I feel the same way when I see anyone talking about anything punk related on GAF. I think it's because in the real world I only know people who like punk stuff from gigs, which I feel like should extend into the internet even though it clearly doesn't.

In my experience it's been reminding people of music they haven't listened to in years, regarding punk music. I mean just look at the posts between LookAtMeGo and I. Finding people actively seeking out punk music now is pretty rare.

I switched to The Damned because they're fantastic.

I grew up listening to Rancid and Green Day so that's my general delve into punk. I like the idea of punk and would love to find some good punk for the gym, but I've just mellowed out so much that when I sit down to listen to things for enjoyment it's usually in the Shins/Jack Johnson/John Mayer/Keane/Coldplay/Radiohead/DMB wheelhouse.

I'm lame though.

^^ I know, what's taking so looong

Hah, how fitting. I'm now listening to The Damned, who I haven't listened to in years.

All my chapter-previewing creative consultants have finished reading the latest portion of my book.

Fuck, this means I need to start work on the next one.

Baroquemantic which haribo was it? Which one is your favorite?

Yeah that's the jist of the point I was trying to make. Lots of people have some experience with punk music when they were younger, but either mellowed out, or just moved on. I bounce around genres like a fucking hummingbird so I'll always return to punk music.

I get wanting to relax with music and that's where my love of hip hop has grown exponentially since middle school. It's also why I found such a huge appreciation for ambient music, when it was super late/early and I needed to concentrate on schoolwork.

Haha awesome.

.
Haha yes NOFX, nice! On my birthday last month my favorite professor from CAL sent me this. She got even cooler that day.

edit: Oooh Brand New yiss. Put on Sowing Season.
Nice prof lol.
Yeah man I listened to a lot of Brand New. Great band.

Have you heard of RX Bandits?

Some songs sound more punkish like this song infected.

But then they sound more reggae like these songs
Babylon
And overcome

I havnt even listened to their newer stuff but I should check it out. I used to love them.

Yeah, never seen these before. Amazon US has them though, so I may order a small package of them to try.

Baroquemantic which haribo was it? Which one is your favorite?
Both are Haribo gold. I don't usually eat Haribo gummies though, as I think they're too tough. Trolli and Albanese are my favorite, especially the latter. Also Lifesavers. And I much prefer worms over bears. Oh and regular over sour.

I amusingly seem to go the other way, as I get older I seem to be getting into more and more aggressive stuff. Like I would've thought this was garbage a few years ago, but now I think it's preeetty great

going to this thread makes me feel 16 again. not that I'm critical of people that like emo music currently or anything

also t-minus half an hour until I'm out of work but then school tonight for four hours

RX Bandits sound so darn familiar, even the name, I must have had a friend that was into them. Good stuff.

Haha yeah I love that professor, we would have back and forths on Facebook while I was still in her class. Not during mind you.

Albanese are incredible. I can't find them here though which blows. Do you have Black Forest around where you are? Those are quality too.

It's funny I have one friend who is still into gummi candy like myself, and any time we decide to go to our shop to get some we spend about 5 minutes trying to decide, like we're wine connoisseurs trying to pick out the perfect flavor to compliment our dinner.

That song kicked ass. I got into that aggressive music in high school, when I was consuming a lot of punk music. It's fun to branch out within genres I've found. Wouldn't have nearly the crazy list of genres and artists I'm into if I hadn't.

Also I trolled myself ages ago by seeing this video, laughing hysterically, saving it to my favorites, and now proceed to revisit it regularly. I love the production on it so much but the verses are soooooooooooooooooo baaaaaaaaaaaaad hahahahaha

what was the cool kid music order of operations for you people growing up?

I was a huge weezer nerd (thanks windows 95) then melodic punk like bad religion, nofx, pennywise, lagwagon etc then I had a brief ska phase and then I wussed out and started listening to shoegaze

I'm all over the place now and I like it.

I was into Nine Inch Nails from the age of four.

I don't know, I've got a weird life story.

Is it too late to be in?

Never too late! Welcome!
