So I just went to grab a pizza and there was this kid outside asking for change. Probably like 16. Didnt look to be in too rough of shape with his clothes. He was asking people for change and everyone was saying no (where I live you never see people asking for change its a while outside of the city) and he's all crying trying to hide it and stuff. I felt bad for him. I went up and I'm like what are you doing out here man? Since usually homeless people i see around here will have lots of stuff with them like a cart full of stuff and he had nothing. He all like I dont have anywhere to go and I'm hungry. Im like fuck dude hold on a sec. I gave hime $10 and some of my pizza and told him to go to the shelter downtown or something if he cant find a place to sleep. I see homeless people all the time in the city I dont know why this guy affected more than usual. Probably because he was younger, I dunno. I just felt real bad for this guy.

Tbh, while I understand why u feel that way, the best thing to do is direct him to homeless help services than take him in. Because one, you'll start feeling like you gotta do more or start feeling like a hypocrite or put yourself into a difficult situation with a stranger.

What you did as it is, is awesome. He was probably trying not to buckle under the emotional weight of his situation. That's rough and you offered him food and guidance. That is more than many people do. I have spent a few nights sleeping on out-of-the-way office building door steps in my youth, and have only been shooed in the morning- never pointed to a shelter or offered food. You da man.

Yeah I know. Brining him home to my zoo full of animals with nowhere for him to sleep isnt realistic. I just wish I could have. My guess is that he is new to the homeless scene judging by his age and appearence. Probably a fucked up home situation he doesnt want to go home to but who knows. He just seemed really innocent and harmless. Im not going to dwell on it but I just got that feeling in the pit of my stomach.

Not gonna lie, How to Destroy Angels didn't really click for me. It's not bad, but there's just something about it that doesn't jive. Glad you enjoy it, though. I almost feel guilty as a NIN diehard for not digging it.
