Ive been playing halo since 2004. 2007/2008 I used to travel to LAN tournaments. Would say i was ranked pretty high overall, probably top 2% of all players in europe.

Damn, that's pretty cool. I used to LAN with friends in high school, but that was way back in the Halo and Halo 2 days. We'd all graduated by the time Halo 3 was out, and I never had XBox Live, so...
Blood Gulch and Sidewinder were a huge part of life for a while, though. Halo PC had some awesome exclusive maps, too.

Back in the day we did halo 1 lans for my friends sleepovers. I hated Halo back then. Then I learned about MLG and my life changed. Danger canyon was the only good halo 1PC map, all the halo 1 and 2 pc maps were released for masterchief collection.
Unfortunately, I was never as good at Halo as I wanted to be, I was good, but there was still a level above me I couldn't reach.

No, I prefer local play if anything. More to the point, I spend far more time making games than playing them these days. I'm something of a workaholic and I get anxiety if I'm not being productive.

I really want to have that feeling i used to have for online games. The sense of community and friendship, local play is good but when you find the right group, its awesome. I've been on the search for that since my ps2 days.
Ideally I would love to get into an mmo, but all mmos these days dont live up to my standard, mmos are bland compared to my ideal vision.

That makes sense. My roommates are pretty good about being around to play a few rounds of Smash most nights. We also have people over fairly often. I can't complain.
