According to my sources, the PS4 and the Xbox One are running neck and neck this month in terms of the time in which both were on sale at retail and through online channels across the days of the month. Like, it's a dead heat between the two consoles this month.

Not really. We did not get one last month and the Xbox One was up YoY (5%). Maybe if it is a double digit increase, they'll say, There also wasn't one in September, and because of some other factors, we assumed it was down. It wasn't until the October NPD thread that we learned the Xbox One was up in September as well.
