Hillary destroying Bernie among minorities. women, age 50+ in New NBC/WSJ Poll

This is a "no shit" type deal right? His numbers went up in Iowa and NH after his campaging. He's running a grassroots campaign against a well known opponent. Maybe the debates should have had more impact? Idk. It feels like the plan is to win Iowa and NH and hope for a snowball effect as he moves through the primaries. 1 state at a time.

Would Hillary be doing as well if she was a man? I feel like the "first female president" prospect is carrying her to a large degree.

At the same time though, I guess there are a lot of voters that refuse to vote for her just for that reason.

Yeah, that's totally it...

I am shocked that hanging with Killer Mike did not lock the urban vote.

Charm one black dude, you get them all right? That is how it works.

What can Bernie do to better-appeal to voters of color?

Not have 2 states with largely white populations be the very first states candidates have to spend months and months campaigning in, largely to the exclusion of other more diversely populated states.

He's not spending as much valuable time outreaching to minorities in other states, because he instead has to spend his time in the very first states, in order to win them.

So, I don't think the campaign calendar is doing the Sanders campaign any favors. Iowa and New Hampshire being first, might serve Republican candidates a bit better but I don't think they are the best first states for the diverse Democratic voter base.

Looks like the low viewership of the democratic debates are helping Hillary. (Debate is not up against playoffs).

According to all non-self-selected polls I've seen about past debates. She's won the public opinion of everyone for every debate this cycle.

She also gets a post debate bump. It doesn't really last that long, but she does get a bump in the polls from them too.

The poll only considers registered dem voters, and people who caucused last election. It didn't consider independents. Terrible poll. But it's the Wall Street Journal, what could you expect.

Well Bernie Sanders chose to become a Democratic this cycle. And in most states you have to be a registered Democrat to vote in the Democratic primary. Outside of a few states like New Hampshire where that's not the case.

So if he wants to win the nomination he has to win over the people that can actually vote for him.

The MSM is all about chasing ratings.

Bernie vs Hillary was always going to be close because of the ratings it was bringing.

Now that the race is shifting to the general and because of all the ratings at stake they're going to rip into everyone in order to find what sticks and run with it.

She's fake as fuck. At least you know what you're getting with Trump

rofl

I would like to ask, what is your reasoning behind this thinking and what do you think a Trump presidency will look for anyone who isn't white?

Do you think having a candidate in the white house who was been supported by nearly all major white supremacy groups is a good thing (and has been credited with causing a "revival/uprising" of white supremacy)

These are honest questions for someone who would vote for Trump because he is "keeping it real"

hint he's faker than anyone in the race and has intentionally tapped into a portion of the GOP party that has felt disenfranchised for nearly a decade now.

You don't think Trump is pandering to the his base? Come on.

Also, stating that you support Trumps views is pretty terrible.

I won't support or vote for either of them, I was just making a statement. Bernie is the only candidate running that I feel would at least try to make a difference.

It's a dumb statement and sort of an insult to the views that Bernie has been championing.

She'd still be the best choice if a man.

Clinton's views and Bernie's views aren't dramatically different and both would put more liberals on the SC.

It's a ridiculous statement if you would rather Trump win than Hilary if Bernie doesn't get the nomination. It is basically saying fuck it, let's all eat dog shit for breakfast now because my favorite cereal wasn't in the house.
