Street Fighter V Roster Discussion |Thread 2| Deal with it & place your hope for DLC

I hope they take out custom colors they bring the quality of the game down. I hope they scrap custom items all together. Alternate costumes are great though.

Gief's eyes on the titties...

Alpha costume only, same goes for Nash

The Alpha costume looks even worse. Like Ken in alpha looks wonderful. But this crappy model in SFV is just awful. :/

Meh.

Sorry to insist about Ken, I just felt like he was given the worst treatment, look wise. Maybe Vega too.

They made the two most "beautiful" guys in canon the ugliest in game. Nice.

Hopefully Laura gets a costume where she's in a gi.

Her regular costume already is a stylized gi.

I wouldn't hold your breath for a bland Laura alt which is basically just a Ryu gi (like Sean was). That's clearly not Laura's style or personality.

People who are waiting for a modest Laura outfit are probably going to be disappointed. She's not modest, lol. Wouldn't fit her character at all.
Like asking Gief or Mai Shiranui to cover up.

That's what the Karin, Rose, Makoto character types are for.

I don't like Halloween alternates. I'm in the minority though. I know most people loved these. If SFV decides to do these I hope it's after the game is almost ready to be retired. This is just my feelings on these troll costumes.

I don't get this kind of thinking.
IT is options.
Why would you want to limit other people's options?
If YOU do not like them, you use outfit B, let someone else you outfit E.
Why not let people have as many options to make the game fresh and entertaining for them as they want?
IT literally has no effect on anyone else.

That on some level are what alt costumes are for.

Why would geif dress like haggar, because its a fun costume. Not saying you should Ok every costume you see , just alt costumes allow for what you are saying.

Not in SF. Maybe in series like Tekken, where you can dress up Kazuya like a clown if you want.

Or in SFxT, where the swap costumes are LITERALLY based on Tekken characters.

But, the alts in SF generally relate to the characters somehow. Gief dressing like Haggar is obviously an homage to their similar design origins, and how they allegedly "stole each other's moves" in the storyline. It's relevant to Gief.

On the other hand, I sincerely doubt you will ever see Karin wearing an alt like Laura's. You won't see Necalli dressing in jeans and Air Jordans (as amazing as that might be).

I can litterally go down a list of alts that are " unfitting for the character" that are just there because they look great.

No offense but you kinda fulla shit.

Other than forced themes like "Halloween" and "Animals" (like the 5th or 6th generaltion of alts), few outfits are truly that random.

WAY more are relevant than are not, whether you get the reference or not.

So ok, not only have you decided that some of the things defeating your argument just don't count. You still kinda wrong, because there are still a buncha outfits... that don't seem fit the character, but just look cool. like C Vipers first alt, which is literally a dante reference. not because those characters have anything in common besides the color red.

I'm not saying no one has alts that fits them, every single one of cody's alts except the last 1 remind you he is a " trouble maker" and is in prison. And most of guy's alts are ninja related. But if you saying chun li's clearly jojo inspired summer costume fit her character, you buggin dude.

Umm, how does Viper's 1st alt look like something she wouldn't wear?

That looks very appropriate for her. It actually looks similar to her default.

I guess i am buggin, then, because I could. It's colorful, intricate, and somewhat exotic like most of her outfits.

"This fits Laura's character because her tits are out!"

"But how much do we really know about her character?"

"Well, we know that it's her character to have her tits out!"

"Hmm."

I don't want to limit options. I hope they design ten good ones instead of comical character breaking opions. The simple fact is I have to see character breaking options online. Let me put it like this. Your family decides to take a family photo. Everyone dresses formal but your dead beat brother show up in jeans and a tank top. You reschedule the photo shoot because he couldn't get the picture.

At least in this situation you get to beat his ass

Options are good, fugly distractions are bad. They should allow limited customization, like you can change the colors of 3 or 4 elements of the character, for example in an options menu you can "set" outfits that are just based on options provided by Capcom... so you can change Ryu's skin tone, belt and gi/bandana colors, but ONLY to whatever alternatives Capcom makes available. This would help avoid crazy looking shit while still deepening the connection between player and character.

As mentioned before, while there are very specific exceptions, i would rather be able for folks to express them selves creatively rather you be ok.

This was posted in the other thread

I need the spaghetti chun li alt, now.

I hate how demanding you guys are..most of whom don't even play SF -_-
I play street fighter

I dont see what your point is actually.

Im about to play on steam now as a matter of fact.

And whats your problem? Folks wanna costume, what does that have to do with you.

agreed they got so ridiculous in Tekken IMO, i also would prefer more grounded Alts for the characters for the first Add-on content.

I said most, while your post was quoted, I didn't imply or say you were one of them.

If you go through this thread, there are ridiculous "needs" that come off as extremely ungrateful to quality content that gets pushed out.

It screams of an immature customer base that will never be satisfied, that demands that their unique requests must be met.

the amount of "I NEED SKULLOMANIA IN MY LIFE" is exactly what i'm talking about. most of the people even admit to not even playing SFEX outside of one to two games.

No ones saying capcom should die if they don't include skullomania, they just want something. Along with that, how is that immature? They desire something, they are voicing that desire in a thread on video game forum specifically for that purpose. They can't wait for new sf and don't know of future possibilities so they hope. Also , so what if they ain't play sfex, most people didnt. It Problably speaks to the character's design if they see it in a game they aren't interested in and like it.

And lastly who in the hell are you? You aren't some policemen of peoples desires. The fuck do you care for, and why does it matter to you?

As much as I personally like customization what you'll get is all black, all red, and all black & red opponents 90% of the time. Considering that it seems somewhat easy for modders to create custom colors Capcom should just go all the way and continually release colors for each costume, charging Fight Money or Zenny to purchase. I'm talking like each costume gets 50 colors so everyone should be able to find something they like.

you're really confusing. you just argue how everyone has an opinion and who cares, then when I express my opinion, you're telling me not to do so.

whatever man, desire/beg for all you want, I hope you get the fanservice you desire.

I highly agree!
I heavily dislike Tekkens way of dealing with costumes, it hurts the game especially if I'm seeing the new ones in the newest build.
The way SF IV handles it is good but there are a lot of costumes which are bad and weird.
Would be cool if Caps would do some kind of community poll to decide which concept art alternate would be in the game.

I love 'gief in SFV but his standard costume and his alt are a little boring, I'd love big, pink scuba-gief back or even mecha-Zangief. Something gaudy.
