When I was a teenager I used to like meowing for no reason at people and expressed my love for cats generously via such weird character traits. I never thought I was a cat though, just really love cats. Grew out of it after a while.

In a just and truly tolerant world maybe you could've explored this side of you and realized things about yourself that you might never do...
 
If I were her parents I'd chuck her out at night, make her use the cat flap to come and go, and feed her nothing but cat food until she decides to sort herself out.

This reminds me. There was a girl in elementary who legit considered herself to be a cat or tiger or something. She would hiss and snarl at us. One time she farted in class, hissed at everyone who looked and then cried. These are my only memories of her. I hope she's doing well.
