Whatever makes her happy.
I hope she gets help from a therapist.
I don't understand, her body is still human but she claims to be able to see in the dark better and such?
Being gay and thinking you are another animal are totally different things.
Homosexuality is a natural think that exists in nature. There's nothing weird with it or unnatural about it. Their reality isn't distorted like it's the case here.
This women things she can see better in the dark than in the light. That's a delusion. It's a mental illness. And it isn't comparable with being gay.
The fact that people were intolerant of gay people or transphobic doesn't make claiming you have the senses of a cat suddenly okay. And insinuating that is kinda insulting frankly.
I honestly think the world is too liberal nowadays :lol
Everyone wants to be something unique or different so they do shit like this and they get attention and then you get people saying it's acceptable. Madness.
I'm sure you're all in a perfect position to make fun of someone for something they probably can't help.
Love that Comment:
I know right.
People even give me shit just because I sexually identify as an Apache attack helicopter.
I was surprised to see the NRK logo, being the Norwegian National Broadcasting. No, it doesn't work in English.
Considering this is a publicly funded broadcaster, the lack of any actual journalism with consulting specialists or other sources got me wondering.
NRK is huge, multiple channels on both TV and Radio. This is apparently made for a radio show/podcast on P3 (mainly known for it's younger target audience and used mostly as a music station) called "Verdens Rikeste Land" (The Worlds Richest Country) which hardly seems serious at all. The thumbnail shows a couple guys lounging, trying to channel a hipster vibe or something. And they give their mailbox address with the reason "in case you want to send us something, like Urge." That's the soda-pop/fizzy-drink Urge.
TLR; This is either a hoax or making fun of a person with a mental illness. I'm guessing it supposed to be a joke, we all know cats don't say "meow meow meow" when they want to go. They'll just start scratching the door, perhaps with a repeated, singular "meow".
Lmao, the [barks] is killing me.you guys just discovering otherkin stuff ?

Yeah, and my parents believe that they're literally drinking blood and eating flesh when they take communion. Tons of people believe in the power of prayer. Having factually incorrect beliefs doesn't make you delusional or mentally ill. The question is whether you're hurting yourself or others by your irrational belief - and the only way she's hurting herself is because of dickweeds giving her shit for it.
But again, it's not so much about her as it is about you guys - about what your instinctive reaction is when you're confronted with weirdness that, as they say, neither breaks your arm nor picks your pocket. If it's harmless, but stupid/not justifiable/ even untrue, what's your reaction? this thread doesn't make me optimistic that we've gleaned the deeper lessons we should have from the struggle for gay rights.
Souds like my damn Chihuahua lolLmao, the [barks] is killing me.

Hahahaha
Apparently she's seeing a therapist so the delusions might be affecting her daily functioning enough to seek help.Yeah, and my parents believe that they're literally drinking blood and eating flesh when they take communion. I anticipated something far more disturbing.

Is this one of those delusions disease when kids imagined themselves to be a cool superhuman/dragon/stuff?
That dude just wants pussy and plays along.
How does she have a boyfriend.... HOW!???
Gtfo of a board, if you can't handle people criticising others. That's how humanity evolved in the first place.
Damn, I was under the impression that humanity evolved through science and governance, not through making fun of weird people.

he's surely a furry.
And both of those things happen to have being able to handle criticism as one of their core tenets.![]()
I am sorry, but it could be argued that it's an integral part of human society that makes sure the social pressures for societal homogeneity are well in place.
I don't see what evolution of science or governance could eliminate humans criticizing fringe beliefs, I don't think that will EVER go away.
I'm unable to see the video at the moment, but she was obviously still raised like a human, conforming to our norms. It is only natural that large parts of her behaviour involves elements of human society.
On a more serious note, I think it's interesting to see where we draw the line for which identities are deserving of consideration and respect, and which can be dismissed and ridiculed. I guess the biggest differentiator is volume. The more people you have amongst your ranks, the more acceptable your interpretation of living "authentically" becomes. Has there ever been done a proper study on these furry/otherkin folks'?
Anime claims another victim.
