Could be that plus Purehair causing the problem so severely, but yes, once I turned Purehair off and the textures to High, it seems to have improved.

Surprisingly it does not seem very heavy.

No. 2gb of VRAM will limit you I'm afraid.

High textures are xb1 textures. I presume they do not fair as well with less than 3 GB of VRAM. Then again, I am not positive.
Have there been reports of how 2GB cards fair on high textures?

Really? So an additional 5 fps out of 50 is huge? I certainly wouldn't call it that.

It's not about being "locked", it is simply what those textures require.
3gb of VRAM = high, Xbox One quality.
Very High = >3gb.

So it is also working for MSI cards then? Where are the PPID and SN located on MSI GPU's? Also on the PCI Express lane?

Before I open up my tower for nothing: will it work with a MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G? The MSI cards doesn´t have a PPID and the SN is formatted differently, afair.
