Those Witcher 3 shots are incredible. That game continues to blow my mind.
Fallout 4 proves that no matter what you do that game looks terrible and I don't understand the hype of ROTR. Watching my brother play it maxed was unimpressive and the still screens are unimpressive.

1920x1080. With the exception of SMAA anti-aliasing, all settings are enabled and maxed out. I think people may have overhyped the graphics, I mean the game looks and runs great but its not face melting good.

Yeah I agree. I was watching my brother play it maxed out yesterday and I think its by no means a slouch but its not even in the top 3 when it comes to visuals that I have seen this year and certainly not if were going by PC titles.

The Order 1886 is still the best looking game on any platform IMO.
Rise of the Tomb Raider just came out so here are few screenshots from me. They were screenshotted in 4K (3840x2160) with everything turned up to very high except AA. I don't know, I'd put it right behind The Order and Battlefront. Is there something I'm missing?
I like those smooth features on her face. Looks natural. The reason why I liked her face in the Definitive Edition more than in TR 2013 classic. (not particulary digging the changes on eyes, jaw and chin, though. But they finetuned it in RotTR. I'm alright with that.)

You stahp! I'm getting an UWA. Been reading a lot about them recently (also partly because of your screenshots) and it's decided.
Anyway, a normal 16:9 screenshot from my end. 1440p instead of 4K this time.

I'm using SMAA. SSAA keeps me in the 40-50 fps range so I turned it down one notch.

Agreed! I stalk this thread almost daily. Occasionally jim2point0 says something really upsetting like "That's it guys, no more Witcher 3 for me, I'm burnt out." And I get really sad until he posts more Witcher 3 screenshots the very next day =D

Hah. Well I'm pretty much posting stuff from my screenshot backlog now.... except for that tree one. I actually took that last night. But every now and then I'll go through and find something I think is still worth posting. *shrug*
I am out now. I've been playing Darkest Dungeon too much to take new ones. But I might try Tomb Raider. We'll see. If I can't hack it for whatever reason, I won't bother taking screenshots.

Fantastic looking game. qa_engineer, sacrifice some other options if it means better AA. The effect really detracts form those screens.

Each to their own but I find screenshots from cutscenes, especially when they happen repeatedly, quite uninspiring because it's what everybody see's while playing the game. Messing around with the camera on the other hand allows for angles you wouldn't see in a normal playthrough. That makes high quality screenshots I got used to the last couple of pages and past thread.
btw with the screen effects option you can remove the film grain

Eh, a visually impressive and/or aesthetically pleasing shot is visually impressive and/or aesthetically pleasing regardless of the amount of control over the photography that one has. I agree when we see the same shots over and over again that it can be tiring when the shots are no longer individual as such, but I don't mind seeing something that is visually impressive despite it being from a cutscene.

It's been overhyped constantly, not really sure why. It's a good looking game though. Not talking about gameplay or anything, just in graphics.
