Xbox - archpath1

I want my white jacket from the alpha again dammint

The game seems pretty fun after a couple hours today. The cover system works well and if you just run and gun, you can get wrecked pretty quickly. I got to level 6 in about an hour and, honestly, the game feels like a shooter to me. I know I've hardly scratched the surface, but it didn't seem like some massive/mmo/rpg/shooter thing, a la Destiny, yet. Curious is the multiplayer aspect picks up as you continue playing.

The menu/upgrades screens are a mess, IMO, though. I can't even tell what stat is tied to what, how much money something costs, etc. It's so cluttered.

I didn't realize that the entire dark zone will repopulate for end game content
One of the cool things we do is that once you hit the max level – level 30 – suddenly the whole Dark Zone re-populates with all-new content and challenges suitable to that level. And now the entire Dark Zone, instead of being segmented where you explore further and further north, the whole Dark Zone is repopulated completely for you to tackle openly again.

source: vg247

That is much better than just having the northern tip of the dark zone.

So end game right now is that information + replaying missions on hard mode (hopefully they all scale to level 30 at max) Still hoping for more to keep me jumping in over and over again.

I wonder if you can redistribute skills. Like if you invest in the medical and tech trees can you reset your character and build a tank instead.

Anyone else getting an error when trying to preload on PC?

Keep getting this and there's plenty of room on the drive.

Try changing your installation drive, restart the client and change it back to your actual one. Might work but cant say for sure.

Here's a bit about DLC in the game.

Starting with the Season Pass, which is currently only available in the $99 “Gold Edition” or $159 “Collectors Edition” of The Division, Ubisoft has now provided the first details on its three expansions, providing their official titles and a short description:

Underground – “The first expansion, called “Underground”, lets a squad of four players explore new territory in a post-epidemic New York City underworld.”

Survival
– “In the second expansion, called “Survival”, players will have to try to survive in a hostile environment that will challenge even the most hardcore Division players.”

Last Stand
– “The third and final expansion is (perhaps fittingly) titled “Last Stand”.”

Ubisoft went on to talk about two different types of downloadable content for The Division beyond the Season Pass expansions. The first are other boons players get by purchasing the Season Pass early, including a DLC pack of outfits and weapon skins on launch day, as well as monthly perks described as “exclusive content drops and events.” Finally, The Division will have a stable of free updates available for all players, though these updates will specifically be “built around new game modes.

If I'm being honest, I'm not mad at what the Season Pass offers. I like the idea of monthly perks for pass holders.

well I did the story mission and sadly it was very run and gun with my random team mates. I did enjoy it though, but had no idea what to do in the DZ and was PvP'd so it wasn't fun.

Quick Look on GiantBomb. I think it was a hood, at least?

Ah oke. I dont know. Played for 10 hours today and normal run and slide happened quite alot but never could do that hood slide. He always climbed over it. Would be great if it was still in it offcourse.

Now I'm doubting the shit outta myself. Could have sworn it was a slide.

Huh, you can "mark as junk" in your inventory and then after marking hold down one button to disassemble all marked items at the same time.

Not bad!

I got to the first base of operations and I believe I am going to stop playing. I can already tell this is the type of game I will like and I hate playing Beta's only to have to replay everything once the game comes out.

Or is there any chance somehow our progress from the Beta will carry over? Or any other reason to play it other than the obvious of helping to test the servers?

Huh, your stash is actually account wide so you can trade between alts.

of course, not sure why you would ever need an alt...

Beta progress wont carry over. :)

Maybe if you wanted to have a character who you use to go rogue alot with, so you don't risk your DZ rank / credits on your main.

Anyone else think that this super secret "faction" that they haven't revealed yet is some sort of infected/ zombie faction? This is a quarantine/ plague setting, and considering all the stuff they've restricted in the Alpha/Beta, it seems like they still have one big reveal left.

actually, they called it a "high end" faction. I believe it's basically an evil division. you're gonna be fighting military dudes with actual high end military gear and armor and such.

Eh.. I hope not. When you first go into the DZ you're told that a lot of people died there because that's where the disease hit the hardest. And they revealed that once you hit max level that the entire DZ will spawn these new enemies. It really sounds like some sort plague carrier faction.

I really, truly hope you are wrong, because that has nothing to do with a Tom Clancy game at all.

dev on stream was just asked about endgame content and I quote:

"We have end game content that we are not talking about right now. But it's there, you haven't seen or heard about it yet, but we will present it as we get closer to release date on March 8th."

What does any of this have to do with a Tom Clancy game anymore? They went off the rails years ago with his franchise. You could rename this franchise anything and it would be unidentifiable.

That's exciting, I won't get my hopes up too much though. Fingers crossed for raid-like content.

Please tell me what exactly is outside a real world scenario in The Division?

Sure things might be embellished for dramatic purposes, but there is nothing unnatural, impossible or supernatural in this at all.

This could technically happen.

also wtf I just saw a rat try to kill a pigeon :O

I'm loving the game. Agent Lau annoys the hell out of me, but it's gonna be a great multiplayer game. I'm glad it has lived up to my expectations, well so far anyway.

Got to play a whole 10 minutes this morning before I went to work. Coolest thing I saw was I was fiddling in the in game menu, and when an NPC bumped in to me, it kicked me out of the menu.
