I watched 446 last night despite not having seen any of the filler so far, man I don't even know where to begin.
Actually I do, Yamato basically jobbed to his own tailed beast suppression jutsu somehow because Naruto reverted his cloak which knocked Yamato backwards? in any event it was hilariously bad.
I saw that. I thought it was sage mode that knocked him back. Idk but no it wasn't good.
Very lazy fight thats far too close and spoilerish to a future fight and SP knows it. I guess you could argue it tries to copy the part 1 fight but still.
The last one was a bit better.

She's terrible man. That's really all that needs to be said. She basically exists as a plot device for Naruto and Sasuke. The same with Hinata for Naruto. I really just hate the way the author handles the females.

More than anything I dislike how she pulls attention away from the cooler women of the show. Temari and Shizune need more love in this show, seriously. I mean this show has what feels like 600 episodes, that's more than enough episodes to spread among the other women that aren't Sakura. I'm not saying write her out of the show cause I do recognize her right to exist, I just don't see it above the importance of other people. I actually did like her stuff with Chiyo a lot as well, if anything Chiyo could've been another woman that Sakura could play off along with Tsunade, like how Naruto has both Kakashi, Iruka and Jiraiya since I feel that Naruto is different in some ways between the three of them.
I haven't seen Rock Lee do some cool shit since he fought Kimimaru, and no I'm not counting fighting his fucking clone for 12 god damn episodes. Am I the only one here that thinks Shikamaru is the best character on this show?It's not just you. Is the filler I'm skipping ever any good? I keep getting told to skip it in here. The fact that the secondary cast is relegated to stuff that doesn't matter or ever actually happen is kind of insulting.

The filler you skipped is fucking terrible. Not worth the extra screen time to characters when they won't get any good development or do cool things in those fillers to begin with.

Powers arc is worth watching because it's super well animated and the Kakashi anbu arc is pretty decent.

Even though Kishi pays her dust I'm glad the anime/movie team love her.
She's a beast. I'm also going to assume that spoilering this won't matter since it's from the third Shippuden movie and therefore isn't canon or important to the overall narrative.

like during Pains assault on the leaf where her biggest moment was crying for Naruto to show up before he made a dramatic entrance. Or doing the kage summit where her whole spiel about her growing up and taking out Sasuke was simply a cover to setup her having to be saved by Naruto. Or part 1 right before sasuke leaves.
She's a plot device. Her biggest moments in the story are usually where she cries or has to be saved by someone.

The Hidden Leaf Village should be fucking ashamed of themselves. The only person in that god damn village with the fucking stones big enough to needlessly throw their life away to fucking help Naruto was weak ass fucking Hinata. If they all survive this arc they should take a very long hard look at themselves and say, "shit, we're weaker than Hinata" and then go fucking drown themselves. Sakura didn't fucking do god damn shit to help Naruto, she sat on a fucking rock and fucking watched Naruto get impaled repeatedly and then watched Hinata get impaled right in front of him. Hinata loves Naruto and fucking straight up admitted like a fucking champ and that's fucking Hinata the willow wisp of a fucking woman with no urge to fight. She got bodied repeatedly and put her all into helping Naruto. I have never been this mad at this fucking cast till now, you guys let Hinata get bodied trying to save your only fucking hope at survival and fucking sat there and did nothing. Fuck you survivors, Tatsuyu should hang her head in shame at the fact that she wasted all that fucking chakra rescuing your asses.

Im pretty sure the villagers knew what was up after the village got destroyed. And Sakura knew when Naruto showed up. Hinata was trying to run down there as soon as the Naruto showed up.

but that's the point, though. it matters to her character; it's Kishi visually highlighting Sakura's uncertainty and ideals. if Sakura was merely or mostly a means to ends dealing with sauce and nardo, she wouldn't have all of these other things going on; she'd be dry and vacant like Hinata and Rin, in other words

things like emotional justice and detailing the emotional texture of how Sakura deals with whatever's happening in the story are given top priority, which is why a lot of Naruto's real estate dealing directly with Sakura focuses on her feelings towards herself or how she's connecting and disconnecting with the folks around her

Yes, they knew Naruto was fighting Pain. But Katsyu explicitly told them all to stay out of the fight.
You can tell by their reactions to Naruto's transformation into the Kyubi that pretty much none of them knew that he was defeated and captured.

We're approaching the 6 year anniversary of the Pain arc being animated and even though I rewatched the episode at least 20x, I've still only seen the Hinata stabbing scene once.
I always stop the episode when she delivers the "this is my nindo" speech. Seeing her get stabbed like that made me so ill. I remember I couldn't even sleep, I was so rattled by that.

What it really boils down to is that Kishi feels embarrassed when writing romance so he prefers to troll fans with red hearings and shipping bait and the anime team plays off of this very much so.
Naruto is basically Goku X10 when it comes to being clueless about romance, you'll see when you eventually catch up to The Last movie.
