Street Fighter V Beta IV Thread: Jan 30-31

Tried to play this game legit for an hour: lost every single game. Then I spammed R. Mika's heavy butt slam and won.
I think I'm done for now, at least I no longer have 0 LP :p
 
I forgot to record an epic match I had with Ken. I was down to 20 percent but manage to drain his 65 percent life meter with combinding V-trigger combos non stop into a Super with Karin. Felt soo satisfying to pull it for once online.

Got to 1200LP, Mika and Bison style, but had to quit due to husband duty. I really, really like Bison in this. His demeanor, the slower walk, his normals. There is a methodical and precise nature to him and he seems the most evil and badass since ST.

Mika, on the other hand, is the total opposite. Just pure happiness and fun. I like her for not only being easy to pick up and a grappler, but she has that 1980's "Fuck Yeah!!" vibe going for her. Like, every time she fights, it's the ending of Karate Kid and John Matrix razing an island all wrapped into one.

How do you combo into Vega's super from CT? I've gotten it a few times but generally can't do it reliably. What's the right timing?
 
Is there a way to extract the replay to youtube from the game? I favorited the replay I want and I can see it on my CFN menu, but how do I extract it to video file?
 
Got my first rage quitter from a Necalli player after he Ex-DP on wake up in the final round. I wish the game switches them to a bot for leaving a match like CS:GO and still loose points.

Oh Shit!! Dude, it's been a long ass time. I'm actually going to be in Florida when it releases for vacation (I'm a teacher now, so holidays and days off everywhere), but when I get back we definitely have to get some games going.

Was he using Bison? Viscant mains Bison. Also, I had the server quit on me once yesterday during the first round of a match. That's always a possibility.

Does anyone know the frame data on Dhalsim's quickrise? I'm going to assume that he quickrises the fastest of all the characters because I've had it happen with every Sim where I knock him down, I do my meaty on his wakeup, and he quickrises and mashes Jab or even does his slide on wakeup where it beat my meaty.

Too early for Tier List? Here's mine for shits 'n giggles:

A: Chun Li, Cammy, Nash, Birdie.

Reasoning: they all have really good buttons, good damage, have gimmicks (especially Birdie), and don't really seem to have any bad matchups except Birdie vs Sim.

B: Ryu/Ken, Karin, Rashid, Vega, Laura, Necalli, Dhalsim.

Reasoning: all good characters but they have to be played a certain way. With the A tier characters, you can play however you want. B tier is a little trickier and excluding Ryu/Ken/Sim, they're mostly about getting in and frame-trapping.

C: Bison, Mika.

Reasoning: they both do great damage and have tricks/gimmicks. But, they have a hard time getting in and they both have bad crossups. I'd like to see these characters receive a few buffs (fast walk speed for Bison, Mika's EX Peach having startup invincibility and forward MK having extended range). Plus their V-Skills are worthless in most matchups. Mika's in particular is all but worthless because it takes too long and the instant she gets hit she loses the buff.

D: Zangief.

Terrible character. Gets zoned out by everyone. Slow as hell. V-Trigger has to be done at mid-screen in order to catch a zoner (unlike Birdie who can just throw down a coke can, a Banana, or build V-Trigger). Slow anti-airs. Can be hit out of his command grabs. Grab super has horrible range. I am very confident in saying he is the worst character as of Beta 4.

You'd have to use a recording program like d3dgear and watch the replay then record it. No easy way about it I believe.
 
The more I play this, the more every match up feels like I'm playing against a SF4 online Cody.

It's really becoming the opposite of fun.
 
Wtf is wrong with Vega? I can't block his fucking walljump jump middle scratch everyone move for fuck sake. How do I block/punish this shit?
