oh

the latest episode completely butchers hinata v pain.
she doesn't even get a chance to confess; she is completely dissed and dismissed

The explanation to the Izanagi jutsu sounds like utter bananas bullshit. Anything disadvantageous to you can be rewritten as a dream. What the fuck does Kishi smoke?

Yo great job on not explaining how or why Danzo has like 8 fucking Sharingan in one of his god damn arms...Danzo's like "long story."

Uh. Isn't that like, apparent even at the point where you are ?
Itachi being a moron ----> Lots of dead Uchiha --->Lots of free Uchiha eyeballs on the market --->Danzo-Orochimaru connection ---- >voila ?

Yes I heard that revelation, on top of Hashirama cells being thrown in for good measure.
Welcome to the world of genjutsu, where reality and dreams can exist as one...or do they just appear to be one....

He shot right through Karin, Sasuke doesn't give two fucks about that woman, lol. You still going to stan his ass Karin? He just dropped some cold blooded ether on Karin mother of God!!! lol.

Every episode might as well just start with, "check your standards at the door, you're watching Naruto Shitpooden." When the hell did Sasuke learn how to summon a Pidgeot?
See because he decided to call his merry crew Taka/Hawk he must've impressed some Hawk off screen who liked the cut of his gib and thought "damn I gotta get in on this, the name is perfect!"

Which is to say I don't think there was ever an explanation.

Honestly, Summit Arc depicted Sasuke in the worst light, though that was the intention.
I love it when you draw me like a douche bag kishi, now draw my face as weirdly as fucking possible as I kill my stan.

Edit:

I didn't want to type this out on my phone. It's easy to see that it was quite intentional. The color palette for Sasuke is a bit on the muted side and he's also drawn in a way at times that's just deliberately twisted. On top of this Karin's also talking about how cold he's becoming, which is actually nicely reflected in the voice over work. Also Karin notes how different his chakra flow now is and when they actually showed it it took on the form of a demonic entity. Sasuke also pretty much comes off as either a serial killer or monster when he starts his cold walk towards Danzo to actually kill him, I think he even displays a slasher smile. Something I don't think he's had since he went full curse mark on some Sound ninja guy when he broke both his arms. This clearly isn't the same Sasuke any more and he's gotten crazier I think since leaving Orochimaru and Itachi's death, pretty much I think Itachi's death broke something inside of him.

Based Sasuke taking down trash tier characters who in any healthy society, would long ago get locked in asylum. for obsessing about him

I'd probably drop to the floor laughing if he actually said that to Karin, she's such a one note base level character. Though she really should get locked up though. She likes it so much when the dude bites her, clearly she's mentally unfit for everyday life.

I was always under the impression he got the eyes from the Uchiha Massacre & that Orochimaru had experimented & implanted the eyes in his arm.
I made that comment the night before I saw the episode that addressed that. I'm practically commenting within real time of watching this show. Danzo's response of "eh...long story" prompted my response.

Oh lol yeah, i remember that. I was expecting a long flashback about it though
I'm still waiting for the info dump of why Sasuke now summons a Pidgeot. I wonder if that thing eventually squares off with Gamakichi. You already had the Akatsuki wanting to be the very best trying to capture all of the legendary Pokemon.

The show unfortunately never focuses on Sasuke's training in depth unlike Naruto so I don't know why you are expecting something. Why its a hawk should be clear alongside the connotations.

Cause Sasuke named his group the Taka? or is it because Sasuke is like the hawk that ate the snake. I'm sorry if I focus on really minute shit with this show. I mean I get why Naruto summons toads, he was partnered with the toad sage Jiraiya. Sasuke summoning hawks after being with Orochimaru for all that time just comes out of left field. I mean Itachi has blood crow jutsu's so I guess the Uchiha's like birds.

A hawk is known for its incredible eyesight, as well as being a bird of prey which relate to Sasuke (he's on a hunt). There's also a sense of freedom with being able to fly, perhaps signifying Sasuke making decisions solely by himself. With Itachi, many think it refers to a Japanese myths (as do many many things from Naruto, for instance looking at the previous case, The Hawk and the Cherry Blossom motif) as well as other symbolisms:

Although not as celebrated today, the crow is a mark of rebirth and rejuvenation; the animal that has historically cleaned up after great battles symbolized the renaissance after such tragedy.

At the time of watching though, I just thought it expressed freedom to Sasuke.

The hawk being the sharingan bird makes sense then. Thanks for the info. I know a lot of the Uchiha things are named after Japanese creatures of myth or gods. A lot of them are demons in the shin megami tensei games or well okami of all things.

Sakura is a weird character that I actually don't mind her by herself. And when Naruto and her have a friendship I feel it is a lot stronger than if they were a couple.

The 5 Kage arc doesn't really show either Sakura or Sasuke in a flattering light.

No no it doesn't. Sasuke's a psycho path and Sakura's a bitter mercenary trying to put said psychopath out of his misery. Karin's getting no respect. she's just on the ground minding her own business bleeding to death cause he stabs her with a lightning sword through the chest and he's like, "if you think you can betray the hidden leaf then kill her for me."

I like Karin in the fact that she was at least written with a hint of selfawarness.

Sakura at times, isn't.
Karin knows what she is, Sakura's a different story all together. Sasuke almost put his lightning fist right through Sakura's chest, thank god jobber Kakashi stepped in. Sasuke's going full Joker now.

True, I hated Sakura in part 1, but I warmed up to her as the series went on. I just felt she was a much better friend to naruto than a lover or something. And honestly, their moments when Naruto isn't hitting on her are probably the most enjoyable.

I don't think Sakura was ever able to look at Naruto in a romantic fashion any way. I didn't like her in part one either cause she was a useless damsel for the most part, she felt like dead weight half the time. She's better in part 2 at least, they're better friends, and Naruto is just so fucking bad at romantic cues. I wonder how badly Kakashi is going to job to Sasuke. Sasuke tried to kill Sakura twice in self defense within the span of 5 minutes. Sakura's dumb ass just kept putting herself in that situation and she didn't even need to, but nope she's got to be the one to put Sasuke out of his misery and she's not even capable of doing it any how. It's really just tragic on her part. The woman is so in love with Sasuke that it defies logic and for that to be her story beat is just insane.

Sakura could have been replaced with a lamp in part 1 and it would have been the same. It was just that her character introduction was handled poorly.

(She is introduced as another Sasuke Fangirl who insults an orphan behind his back)

It is a shame, but it seemed at the start of part 2 she would be a member of the group. Then the Second Sasuke Retrieval arc happened. (I actually think that is probably the worst arc in the series. The one that introduced Sai and Yamato)

She then doesn't really do anything until late in the series. She actually becomes out of foucs completely.

I'd honestly just prefer they didn't use her as the main female. I mean she could still be in the show, but not for all of it. I would just prefer it if they spread that time out amongst some of the other women in the show but they didn't. You just get them sprinkled in filler.

Sakura was an interesting character, because compared to the other of the leaf 12. She was the 'normal' one. Outside of maybe Tenten. She had no bloodline ability and she was easily the weakest of the 12 before the time skip.

So seeing her develop was to Naruto, but less about proving it to everyone else like Naruto and more about proving it to herself.

Then Sasuke ruins her character.

But Sasuke is practically part of her character dna. I think from her first appearance she's talking about how she wants the guy and a lot of her dumbest moments revolve around him as well. I think the fact that she's not very unique makes her gravitate towards Sasuke to begin with. She's like the living breathing equivalent to the relationship put down "you ain't shit without me."

I sadly can't argue that. Though I will say even before that, her promise to Ino to both become amazing Shinobi's was a nice driving force for her.

It sadly was connected to Sasuke, but I'd argue that by the end of it Ino pretty much bowed out from trying to get Sasuke. And both her and Saukra grew as characters and became friends again.

Ino didn't even try to live up to her side of the bargain since she's like the worst white mage in the show with no battle jutsu.

but their rivalry is never really about sasuke; it's all about sakura keeping her promise with Ino and herself to become, as she puts it, a full-fledged ninja, refusing to let ino's kindness and hard works go to waste by not merely existing in her shadow. kishi even has kakashi say something to that effect during their chunin exam fight

Like Naruto and Sasuke, Ino and Sakura Friendship should be explored more, at least they act natural around each other and I can actually see them as friends.

Ergo, I could actually see Sakura going after Ino if she was kidnapped or something

This. The amount of times I've seen people thinking the rivalry was about Sasuke is staggering considering it is explicitly covered in their fight lol

How come I've rarely seen Ino and Sakura have a legit conversation since Part 1? I remember Sakura buy flowers from Ino when Sasuke and Naruto were in the hospital after I believe the Orochimaru invasion, but that's all I can remember.

Legit? What do you mean, like normal? Too slice of life for Kishi's style. I would of loved to see K11 talk and hand out with each other when there is no mission/drama going on but I'm not sure if it would be interesting to the reader base as a whole. Kishi very rarely fouces on things like that, especially in the latter half of the manga.
