But I like watching people just hang out and have fun with each other. That's how you learn about the cast too.

How many eps is there? Is it dubbed and do they stream it? I was watching the ep where kakashi was almost made Hokage and the antics that kakashi and Guy got into were hilarious. It was nice seeing Kakashi go full silly with Guy, they have the best friendship and it's something that I wish was in more canon eps with the other characters.
 
It got dubbed recently but weirdly enough it got a completely different voice cast compared to the main series. I never checked it out because of that. Viz didn't want to pay union actors I guess.

Those two are Bros for life lol. I crack up wth how Guys actor says Kakashi at times.
 
Killer Bs backstory is actually pretty cool. His stuff can be monotone at times but him and Naruto actually grow a legit bond and its cool to watch.

He's the reverse Naruto. Instead of holding a grudge and being depressed about being an outcast he just raps and perseveres. That takes a lot of inner strength in my opinion.

The fact that he instantly forgave a guy that was trying to kill him gives him more character than most Naruto characters show

Ay is what you get when you take B's monotoneness and accelerate it to 1000. Guy was literally mad the whole time and showed no other side other than his" Raikage smash" personality. At least B has internal conflict that he deals with. Plus his feats of being the only perfect Jin before all the crazy shit began and even getting the leg up on Minatos FTG. But then again people here like sakura so who knows what makes a good character in some people's eyes.
 
The flashback eps with Naruto's parents are pretty messed up. Fuck Madara and what the fuck is that dude? He practically melted after being hit with a rasengan.
 
I found most of The War arc entertaining when it's not padded with filler and
Obito
flashbacks. It has a lot of dumb over the top shit which I can appreciate, especially when it's animated well.

Madara's
entrance was sick. I really liked the Kakashi fight and the Guy moment we just had before we entered filler hell was pretty hype as well.

I do intend to since it seems pretty interesting. Is there anything in that art style for Hiei, or at the very least based Kurama? They're my two favorite characters.

Yeah the war arc escalation towards the end was great. Rest of it certainly had its moments but was quite slow.

There are still some great singular episodes like 322, 345, 375 mostly due to Pierrot but nothing quite like 246- ~253 which was both one of the more emotional moments in Naruto and the last stretch where decent to great production values and last few beats of decent story go hand to hand for an extended time. War arc is a nightmarishly paced bit where even the entire premise, fighting against zombies is silly and serves only to rehash a dozen of previously explored characters, where powers levels go completely nonsensical (after being much better handled than in OP, Bleach or HxH ) and the story, uhhhh I don't even want to delve into that especially as even anime only now started to enter into the fanfic tier territory
where it will remain till the end.

It's not my fault Kishi made the main characters a bunch of idiotic douche nozzles. The only one that's not a mental case is Sasuke. I'll admit that they're at least more tolerable currently then they used to be though it seems like they have Naruto act dumb as fuck just for comedy sake. I mean really how many times did jobber Yamato have to explain to Naruto the difference between a squid and an octopus?
 
War arc has my all time favorite moments in the series despite being a general low for me.
Seeing Nagato use his abilities in his original body, Itachi snap himself out Kabuto's control and then help Sasuke fight him. Two most OP characters ever go all out and then get usurped by Madara's meteor shenanigans. Then there's Madara vs. Gai. It's like the highest octane stretch of the series
 
And hopefully they go all out on whatever key fights are left. That's the only way I can see this endless filler being worth it.
 
War Arc in the anime definitely has its moments where they outshined the manga.
Madara vs the Allied shinobi, The Ten tails cataclysm and Kakashi vs Obito come to mind. I loved the team 7 reunion as well. Felt more nostalgic.

But overall it could've been alot shorter. Just when it was picking up again we get a filler arc. Smh but I knew this particular chapter was gonna be filler city the first time I read it.

Make sure you check out the Power and Kakashi anbu filler arcs. I think you're getting pretty close to the first one. Skip the fuck out of any other filler arcs you see though.

Power arc is episodes 290 to 295

Kakashi Anbu starts at 349.

And no you didn't miss out on anything. Most of the filler is hot garbage. Including the filler currently going on.

Kakashi anbu falls into sub time for me well can't be that bad. Lol the filler is useless. Who was in the filler that I skipped over?
 
I actually really like Naruto as a character, since it always felt that he naturally got his friends through the story.

Most of the character found him annoying and irritating at first, but once they got to know him they saw him as endearing. Which is what I like.
 
Why does Guy Sensei summon a turtle? Kisame summoning a shark at least makes sense though. Guy went all out on Kisame, he's rarely shown to be this badass, makes me wonder why he jobbed to his clone that badly. Kisame was hardcore, wasn't snitching for shit.
