Voter fraud, in reality, is extremely rare here.

Part of the reason for that is because since absentee ballots are literally the only way to vote here (in Oregon), they each have a unique barcode identifier that connects them to a single voter. The only way you'd possibly have fraud with that system is if someone is stealing ballots out of mailboxes, but the second a registered voter complains that they didn't receive their ballot, the old barcode is marked as invalid/destroyed, a new one is issued, and the problem is solved. Submit a ballot with an invalid barcode? It isn't counted. One voter, one vote, no issue.

why are people allowed to vote "other"? i don't understand
They don't vote "Other"--they vote for somebody that is not among the top candidates (there are like a total of 50 candidates to choose from). If you vote for one of the minor candidates, they lump your vote in with "other".

I really wish young people would get the fuck up, get out and vote. It's one of the biggest things they could do for their future and most (still) don't seem to give a damn.

Do schools even get into it/talk about it?

Are there musicians, actors etc encouraging people to get out and vote? I remember back in the day MTV had that whole rock the vote stuff and I have to imagine it helped some. Maybe they still do that I don't know.

Sanders for president is my greatest fear in this world, but I want to see Trump vs. Sanders so bad that I might be willing to risk it for the enjoyment factor.

Ya Trump is just playing to his base and once he is in, would be a moderate. Sanders is a true ideologue like Cruz and that kind of extreme either way is bad.

Civics classes have been destroyed in K-12. You see that many younger people don't know how the presidency works and think that the president is like an emperor (growing executive power aside). I don't blame them. No one teaches them anything about this stuff.

Gut the schools and keep kids ignorant so they don't come out to vote against you...that's the GOP philosophy on education.

That's not what I remember. Were you in that thread?

Yeah. It was tense as hell. Tight all the way. Gifs of Snake crawling down a corridor from MGS4. It wasn't even clear who had decisively won because the delegate counts were so fricking tight.

Decision Desk has this order:

Trump, Kasich, Bush, Cruz, Rubio

Which is the BEST POSSIBLE ORDER. Maybe we can still get a brokered convention out of the GOP! I hope this holds.

I don't know how true this statement is, but when I was in school (from early 2000s to 2010), especially in high school and middle school, we were taught the basics of how the federal govt works. Just my experience though. Also went to public schools, so take that with what you will.

Donald Freaking Trump will win a state Presidential primary. The actual Presidency of the United States of America.

You know... Jeb! (and Kasich) might be over-performing with people that ran to him, away from Rubio and late deciders.
