If Cruz gets second he suddenly looks like he has a really strong chance at the nomination.
NO
NO
NO
NO

If Bernie wins the nomination and everyone's fears of people coming out to vote against Socialism (and Atheism judging by how the GOP can spin his comments) become true, we'd be looking at a Cruz *vomits* presidency.

At least Trump has had decent views in the past and there's still a chance he's pulling a long con. Cruz on the other hand has always been a legitimately terrible human being.

People want the least electable Republicans to win.
In the event that everything goes to shit and either 1) What I mentioned above happens to Bernie or 2) Many bitter Bernie supporters deny Hillary the youth vote or worse, vote against her, do you really wanna deal with those consequences?

If Sanders wins by 20%+ there really will be carnage inside the Clinton campaign.

The poll numbers have been consistently strong for Sanders in NH so I fail to see why the Clinton campaign would be all that shocked if the results aligned with polling.

It wouldn't be hard at all, but like I said: If you even give people the option to vote online, democrats would very likely win every time. You'd have the biggest 'voter turnout' for youth in history and republicans would get shit on. It'd be a superior system but it wouldn't be in the interest of half of the United States' Government.

So are you saying that this is a generational thing? LIke when the baby boom generation finally fades from view, it would be easier to implement an online system as the millennial generation grew up on the internet and the generation after did as well?

Hillary down 20% gonna be a baaad night for her.

I think it will surely tighter. Something like that would suggest her last week campaigning had been as tone deaf has the internet suggests and really calls into question her campaigns talent.

Her campaign reminds me of Scottish Labour in 2011; a party slipping support and basically melting down as if their opponents are stealing support that is somehow 'owed'.

Those on the Dem side (Repub side too) who have been sitting think this election was an easy win should wake up whatever the result. You need a good campaign and a good campaigner to win, its never in the bag.

Man, that's going to be great for Sanders with that much of a lead. I can still see the media spinning it some weird way making it closer than it was.

Why are people rooting against Rubio? He's a robot, but he's sure as hell more sane than Trump and Cruz.

He's younger and more photogenic, which has proven to be critical for electability in the last few decades. Clinton, W. Bush, and Obama were all very charismatic (relatively) young men who won most on likability. Rubio has that AND has the Hispanic connection, making him much more dangerous in the general election. If the winner of the Republican nomination were guaranteed to be the president, I seriously doubt many people here would be wanting Trump or Cruz over Rubio.

Voted before work this morning. There was a pretty good turnout in my ward, it seemed.

Took a while to make up my mind, but I voted Hillary to hopefully close the gap between her and Bernie. I'm 137% sure Bernie will win NH, but I don't know which one I'd rather see in the White House just yet. If they could just smush together somehow, then they would make a pretty complete candidate!

15% yeah. 25% is cause for hair on fire.

If he takes more than 60% then yeah, it will be a bad night for Clinton. We always expected a win for Sanders tonight but what the media are watching for is the strength of the Sanders win.

So Trump having a very strong showing means that he isn't all just hype, and his people come out to vote for him.

Going to be an interesting path to the next primaries.

Exactly.

A Trump or Cruz nomination could very well put democrats in control of the house and/or senate again.

That's what I'm hoping for. I don't want to wait until 2024 if Trump or Cruz could lose by 7%+ and take the House and Senate down with them.

So are you saying that this is a generational thing? LIke when the baby boom generation finally fades from view, it would be easier to implement an online system as the millennial generation grew up on the internet and the generation after did as well?
You got it. Our current 30 and 40 somethings could figure out online voting. Our current 50 to 60 somethings might have issues. When boomers die off we'll have online voting. Give it two decades.

Sure, but that will immediately turn around when she wins SC by thirty points. Then, the "minorities don't like Bernie" narrative comes right back to the forefront.

Exactly. Unless Sander's numbers change dramatically in the next few states very quickly, tonight isn't going to matter. Obviously Clinton would rather win tonight, but regardless of how much she loses by, it probably won't matter in the long run.

Bloomberg would run too in that case. It would be really interesting.

Bloomberg would essentially be a moderate Republican who would split the GOP in twain (good), but it risks no one getting to 270 and a vote for president in the GOP-dominated House (bad).

Come on Bernie! Hope he increases his lead.

Why are people rooting against Rubio? He's a robot, but he's sure as hell more sane than Trump and Cruz.

I actually dislike Rubio the most of all the Republican candidates, his neocon policies and viewpoints are just as insane as Trump and Cruz's viewpoints.
