A+ rank is just a bonus thing without a conversation that allows the units to reclass into their A+ buddy's class, it doesn't even have a conversation with it. (At least, in the Japanese version, I assume the same for international.)

Yeah, that whole thing was kinda confusing back at release, people assumed A+ was the same sexyness, but then people saw Niles and Corrin's support list, and it had an S and everyone was confused lol.

When I first heard about petting, I thought to myself this would be okay if it was just, say your lover. The idea of your army being a petting zoo with a special room you invited people to and just started petting because you had the power of commander over people...that was just extremely creepy.

I was happy to hear the petting was entirely removed, but this wrinkle also is okay by me.

Only tangentially related,but I'm still upset that if you want to play one of the same-sex romance options you're locked to one storyline or the other based on whether you want a gay male or lesbian relationship, so you might "have" to side with the faction that you don't actually agree with, and then you might not even end up "liking" the *one* character that's an option in your game!

Nintendo half-assing being "progressive" somehow feels weirder and more restrictive than when they just didn't touch the subject at all.

Also, why do you have to "guess" at the path you'll be interested in when you purchase the game? What if I buy Birthright but then the Conquest side seems to speak to me more?
Then I have to buy the "other half" of the game and I've effectively spent a bunch of money on content I didn't even know I didn't want?

They should have release the game up to the "choice" as a demo or a really low cost title, and then let you buy the path you wanted to see play out.
