Wonder how much of it was the debate. As a non-insane person myself, I can say that he came off as the only remotely plausible president on that stage.

Kasich was always expected to do well in NH. He is playing the Delegate bribe game. He has basically no other infrastructure in place but put it all in NH. I mean he openly complained Iowa was too large a state to focus on so how could he focus anywhere else.

In the end he wants the NH delegates to try and buy a position in some administration. I mean he is stated to have less than 2 million dollars left in the coffers. He is a 1 and done candidiate.
